I need opinions..... - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Here's my thing. I promised myself that if I Verizon didn't release the Galaxy Nexus today, I would stick with t-mobile. Here's how I plan to that. Hear me out, need feedback on this harebrained idea!
1. Buy unlocked galaxy nexus online for $800
2. Get tmobile value plan (bring your own device)
- 500 min
- 2gb
- Unlimited texts
= $50/month (base, not including tax and crap)
TOTAL: $800 + (50 x 24 months) = $2,000
Compare to Verizon - Galaxy Nexus: $200
- 450 min ($60)
- 2gb ($30)
- 1000 texts ($10)
= $100/mo
TOTAL: $200 + (100 x 24 months) = $2,600
Thats $600 Saved over 2 years! Whats the catch??? What am I missing in these calculations???

I could use some constructive feedback on this forum. I watched the entire intro video. Please don't hate. Thanks

1) The Galaxy Nexus can be had between $680-700.
2) T-Mobile plans are cheaper than Verizon. You pay more for Verizon and get a broader coverage area.
3) The VZW Galaxy Nexus is $299

Don't mislead readers into thinking they are going to read some exciting news. Not a good way to start off.

here is the way I see it. What may work for me may not work for you and vice versa...
Verizon over T-mobile:
- it is not 2GB, it is 4GB for the holidays.
- LTE speeds.
- Better coverage ( at least in my area, I get constant drop calls at my home)
- Insurance in an expensive phone.
Like I said before, not everyone's case is the same.
Me personally, I will be joining my parents family plan and I will be paying less than what I'm paying in T-Mobile right now.

I am at a loss how anyone can deal with only 2 gigs of data.
Yes, wifi, etc, except the wifi radio on the GNEX is very weak. My iPhone will have full bars of wifi whereas the GNEX cannot even connect.
Godspeed with LTE too.

Go with Simple Mobile and get their unlimited plans... $60...no taxes or no hidden fees

Really? I only have a 1gb fair use policy on Orange UK. Never go over 750mb tbh even with high usage. I have no idea how you're using over 2Gb, unless you're downloading alotta netflix. Also my GNex has a better Wifi coverage than my Sensation XL and my brothers iPhone 4s. As for the OP's question, if i were you i'd wait till the Verizon Gnex is released. As others have said, you get LTE/better coverage/more data etc

Is it worth switching for 15mbps down but no unlimited?

Im currently fed up with Sprint's .30mbps download in my area. I was thinking about switching to Verizon for the Galaxy Nexus, but I couldn't imagine giving up my anymobile any time or unlimited data. Even though the data is slow and terrible now, in 1 year or more, they will have lte (maybe) and then I would kill myself for not just waiting it out.
As I said in another thread milling over what-to-do regarding the same decision:
Being over-charged for data you get is preferable to being charged anything for data you don't get.
Sounds like you already answered your question.

I kind of did. I'm just stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I really started noticing slow data when I got my Evo 4G the day it came out. I'm in Phoenix and I still don't have 4G. I've waited 2 years since I got the evo 4g to get 4g and over that period of time, 3g just keeps getting slower and slower. Im sitting on the second floor of my house with 4 out of 6 bars getting .32mbps. I can see the tower from my window because its on a light pole at the school a block away from me.
Faster data just means you get to your cap faster.
What's the point?
I use WiFi enough that it doesn't matter to me.

Holding out for sprint lte may be worth it if you're in a big city where you can almost guarantee it coming and they keep it unlimited. You may want to stay month to month until u decide

I feel your pain. My speeds are awful. Verizon is roaming in my area. At&t is pretty fast here. It gets about 8 mbps down and around 5 up. A lot faster than sprint.

I'm in Los Angeles - pretty big city. They've had about 2 years to get wimax working here- I get about 500k when I actually can connect to 4G before it drops. How many years you going to wait for LTE to be acceptable in a "big" city? Ask people in NYC how much they are enjoying the "fast" Wimax they are receiving.
Oh and how is that unlimited working out for people who bought data connections - do you really think Sprint who was the first to charge $10 for rich data experience on newer cells is not going to stiff you on unlimited data soon? if they ever did offer decent data speeds, I'm sure they'd charge another $10 or $25 for an "enhanced" data experience.
If I'm thirsty and someone said I can have 5 gallons of water as fast as I can drink it or I can have one teaspoonful per hour each month with no limit - I'll take the 5 gallons.

Nothing like downloading a movie in under ten minutes... better be a good movie though since that uses up a good chunk of the 2GB you get per month.
Sorry, but it has to be about more than just raw speed.
This is like saying "I have a Lamborghini! But I can only drive in 40 miles a month"
The real question is, does 2mbit/s do it for you?
Because I don't know one thing you can't do on a phone [from stream music to streaming video] at 2mbit/s.
These aren't servers, they're phones.

A lot of people seem to miss the point here. Yeah, you can get to the cap faster, but getting the faster speed is really just expecting you to use the same data amount, you just get it faster.

Well thats not entirely fair. 2GB isn't that much. In Cleveland I get great 4g speeds and good
(just as good as Verizon) 3g speeds, my biggest complaint is Toledo speeds (attrocious) where i'm spending most of my time nowadays, which is the main reason sprint isn't working for me great right now.
I'd switch if I didnt save tons of money on sprint (24% discount on top of their cheap plan), but I was just saying verizons biggest feature is LTE which sprint is supposed to have in 8 months or less, and 200+ markets in 2013.
No need to dog my suggestion, sprint is still cheaper than every other carrier but if their lte is unlimited and no extra charge other than the 10/Mo charge they already have, sprint will be very attractove.
switching to verizon/att on a 2yr contract is a big deal, much more pricey than sprint too. Unless you are well under 2GB and have unlimited pockets staying month to month til lte pricing is announced isn't bad.
I get your frustration, but coverage in your area is different. Sprint guarantees certain speeds for 3g/4g so if you're not meeting those call and they should let u cancel.

I am in the same boat, I drop calls left and right at my house and I recently moved and the data is just pure horrible.
I never go over 2 gb a month, The max I ever used was 3.5gb and that was when I first got the evo3d and I was doing speedtests left and right. I stream radio and music my way to work and from work. Now I have the gs2.
If I go verizon I will start out with 2 and I will just pay 10 bucks for the next 1gig and I am sure I will never go over that and my monthly discount will make up for that difference.
I used to get decent speeds at work but ever since the iphone launch I cant even hit half a meg, in the city I live I never hit even quarter mb ever since I moved here. I work in sacramento and the speeds on 3g have gotten worse, even 4g is capped at 2mb now it seems.
This! Over thr past few months I average maybe 3-4gb a month on Sprint, 3g mmostly as 4g iis way inconsistent and I a tired of data drops and awful battery life on it.
That being said, during peak hours incdenver, Sprint 3g is crawling in places I get 2mbps during off peak hours. Lately, at my gym, I can't even stream Pandora cuz it's so slow. I ended up getting tmobile for 14 days and I got about 7mbps average pretty much everywhere! Why'd I cancel? G2x was a letdown and I get sprint free. But seriously, caps are caps and I docsee myself aas being a heavy user and oon mobile, 5gb is plenty. I'm mobile a lot and rarely in one place to use wifi, I'd like to be on a network where, oh I dunno, I can at least stream youtube and not get stuck at 100-300kbps?

Switching to Verizon from T-Blowbile, thinking of getting Nexus

So ill be switching to Verizon in the next week or two, and was thinking about getting the GNex. I have a few questions though.
How is sound quality when talking on the phone (how do people sound and what do people say about how you sound?)
How is sound quality when listening to music?
How is the signal strength?
How is Bluetooth integration in your car? I had a Vibrant and the connection to BT always dropped randomly.
thanks for the input guys!
no one huh?
This isn't a US telecom forum. I wouldn't expect too much feedback.
I haven't had any issues with any of the things you mentioned... Some have complained of low speaker volume. Seems adequate to me.
Sound quality on call has been excellent for me.
Sound quality for music has been good, but sound volume has been an issue because the speaker isn't really that loud. The speaker is capable of doing much more than what it does now and Google knows it and said that an update will come in the future to fix it.
Signal strength is dependent on location, but I haven't had any problems. Verizon did announce today that an update is coming to tweak the signal strength bars to be more accurate as well as a few other things.
I haven't tried bluetooth so I can't comment.
It's been a great phone so far, I would highly recommend it.
P.S. I am on Verizon as well, on the East coast of the US if you were wondering.
I'll give you some info.
Call quality is OK, I haven't had anybody asking me to repeat myself at all, unlike when I was on Sprint.
Signal, there's a signal issue right now that should be addressed with a software update.
Sound quality for music is good, I have no complaints.
Can't comment on the bluetooth integration.

I have T-Mobile and the nexus..yes I payed 750 for the phone but I only pay 70 a month after student discount for unlimited everything. I have the old android internet plan so I don't get throttled data.I use 5 to 6gb data...all that would of cost upward of 200 dollars a month on Verizon considering the overages.

I'm considering switching also and T-mobile is not really cheaper for multi-line plans. I will actually save money by switching to Verizon.
T-mobile is only cheaper if you have a value plan but those are a joke especially if you consider adding another 15-20 bucks a month on the bill for the full retail price of a phone.
The title of this thread made me laugh. T-Blowbile? In my case, I was out of contract and had the option of switching to Verizon and getting the GN at a subsidized price, but I instead opted to import the phone and use it on T-Mobile instead of Veri-sucks (see what I did there?). In my area, I have solid 3G coverage from both T-Mobile and Verizon, but Verizon's 4G is extremely spotty, and their 3G is extremely slow (CDMA 3G is only about 1 Mbps). For me, I gladly went w/ consistent 5-10 Mbps on T-Mobile over mostly 1 Mbps and the occasional 15 Mbps on Verizon. Nothing is more of a case-by-case basis than choosing a carrier.
the Nexus and the Rezound are the 2 top phones. The big pluses with the Nexus are the bigger screen & dev support. since you are into "sound" though I would consider looking at the Rezound. I had one and call quality + signal strength beat the Nexus hands down. additionally, sound quality on the Rezound is also better + blue tooth works flawlessly. downside is if you connect via AUX it tends to produce a bit of background noise/fuzz. also, if you go for the Rezound make sure you do a stress test to ensure it doesn't have overheating issues(aka bacon mode) + do a dead pixel test. sadly, both are known issues with the Rezound. I personally switched to the Nexus pretty much just because of the bigger screen(but dev support alone is also worth it).

I get 2-4mbps on 3G. I have LTE disabled. In Cincinnati, OH (major city) Tmobile's 4G is the same speed. In Indianopolis, Tmobiles 4G is like 8mpbs.
I don't really feel any difference going from Tmobile 4G to Verizon 3G. Also Verizon's LTE in Cincinnati is like 18-22mbps down. I disabled LTE because I don't need an always-on super-fast connection. 2-4mpbs is perfect for day-to-day stuff.
The only benefit is Verizon has better coverage when I travel between cities. Verizon is 95% always in 3G when I travel. Tmobile is 30% in 3G when I travel. Some data > no data.
...plus work picks up the bill.

Ehh...not quite. The unlimited voice is expensive, but doubt you possibly use enough minutes to make it worthwhile. Verizon offers a 15% discount to students, so 10GB of data (the 5GB plan with the 2x data offer right now) is $40, 1400 minutes and unlimited text is like $70 a month. That comes out to $100 ($59.50 for voice after discount, $40 for data). This plan gives you 1400 minutes (more than most people will ever use), unlimited text, and 10GB of data a month.
Soooo you're wrong?

That's true, but more cases can be made for Verizon.
This is the thing: If you don't leave your home city very often and it gets much better T-Mobile coverage than Verizon...you'd obviously be better off picking T-Mobile.
However, if you travel at *all*, or you live in 98% of other cities in the country...Verizon's going to offer better service. Faster, and more reliable.

I used to be blindly loyal to tmo, as some of the other responders clearly are. As for cost, I'm actually saving money thanks to a corporate discount and the service is amazing. Let's face it, tmo doesn't even have 4G. They're decent, but for what I was paying them I expect more.
Make the switch, double data right now and wifi tether works perfectly. The hardware is a no brainer. The phone is awesome, software will get there with time. They rushed out ICS but its good enough.

Anyone leave Sprint and Galaxy SII ?

Curious if anyone that was on Sprint and had the Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch, moved to Verizon for the Nexus ?
I love my Galaxy SII, great phone and I am rooted with awesome custom ROM and ICS theme. The device is butter smooth and warp speed fast with great battery life.
But Sprint is as good as whacking off with sand paper. Sure it works but sucks. 3G service is like 1995 dial up modem. But their family plan pricing is very competitive.
I am possibly thinking moving to Verizon for the Nexus, big want some advice first please. Looking at their plans they do not have free mobile to any mobile like Sprint and ATT ? And their text messaging plan is 1,000 at the most per month ? If I go unlimited minutes plan Texts should be in that. Texting is part of the phone not data per say.
Thanks ahead time

I made the switch to Verizon. Even tho I loved my e4gt the sheer difference in 3g/4g speeds is more than worth it. I hated sprint with a passion just because of the data speeds. Of course the monthly plans are a lil more pricey but it feels good to have such a nice phone (nexus galaxy) and be able to use it like its meant to be.

I actually left sprint on launch day because of a service issue with my galaxy s. I kept having to have it replaced. When I finally got one that worked right, service was lackluster at best. Got fed up when I tried to use data on launch day because my phone had zero data connection (for hours) no matter where I was. Enter Galaxy Nexus LTE and ICS... not looking back, looking forward to the future.
Looking over the Verizon family plan, and it looks extremely more expensive than Sprint.
- No free mobile to any mobile calls ? Sprint + ATT offer that.
- No unlimited Text plan ? 1,000 for $10 for the most ?
- Data, looks like the $30 for 4gb is the smartest option ?
If I go unlimited minutes, what else does that give ? Unlimited texts too ?
I switched from AT&T to Verizon and I'm loving it. It may be a bit pricey but the 4g speeds are awesome. Speed test clocked me in at 33Mb/s and I get the Galaxy Nexus. Never had Sprint so I guess I can't give a good response here though.

No unlimited mobile-to-mobile and my free minutes after 7 PM is what's keeping me on Sprint. I spend most of my time in NYC, so the data service isn't too bad. If I go rural, there is RoamControl which allows me to roam on VZW. My wife and mother in law are in a family plan with VZW, and I was considering giving up my SERO Premium and jumping onboard for the Galaxy Nexus - but use way too many minutes and without free mobile to mobile it's a no go

Yeah the no free mobile to any mobile is a deal breaker, with both Sprint and ATT offering it, makes it hard to switch. And doesn't Verizon offer free minutes at night and weekends ?

Check your usage with Sprint. Despite using my phone for business, I make most of my calls to family and friends, most of whom are already with VZW. Free minutes with Sprint are before 7 AM and after 7 PM, with VZW: before 9 AM and after 9 PM. Edge: Sprint, but again check your usage (when you tend to make most of your calls). I use less than 3 GB data with Sprint, and hardly any of it with Sprint 4G which sucks indoors. Now that VZW offers a 4G plan and there is a hacked hotspot for GNex, it is much more tempting to switch. My individual plan + insurance is still close to $70 a month; an extra line + data + insurance on VZW = $60. Galaxy Nexus >> Epic 4G, although I wish it had a hardware KB. And... I get to write off my phone as one used for business
Leaning back to VZW and GNex now. The way I see it, the combination of pretty good hardware, great software + development, great network coverage/frequencies that actually work indoors and very good data speeds = hard to beat. Sprint is working on its LTE but it seems that it won't be implemented until the mid to late 2012 and their LTE will initially be on 1900 band, which stinks for building penetration. I saved a ton with Sprint and SERO, but it is time to move on.

Unlimited texts too ?

i made the switch from sprint yesterday. i admit, it was a tough decision. i had unlimited mobile to any mobile, plus the promotional 300 (i think) extra minutes they were offering a few months back.
I switched from Sprint. I've been a customer for over 10 years. No problems with reception, but 3g has gotten worse and wimax is not going anywhere. Plus, I don't like sense, touchwiz, etc. Honestly, I don't see much difference between 3g speeds. But lte is way more ubiquitous. I never go over 400 minutes or 4gigs of data.

I have been a sprint customer for 10 years and left sprint for Tmobile. I absolutely love tmobile service i get data speeds around 16mbps while on sprint i was getting like .2mbps. I did get a unlocked galaxy nexus and live it. I also had the gs2 on sprint but this thing is a beast. There is really no comparison.

Anyone else care to chime in ?
I am curious to hear from people that had a version of the Galaxy SII, and how they feel about switching to the Galaxy-Nexus ? A good upgrade, or more of a side grade only ?
One thing that confuses me, I keep reading all the tech forums, and they say the Galaxy-Nexus has worse hardware than the SII ? Saying the GPU is the same from the Nexus-S, and it outdated compared to what the SII is running ? And that once the SII gets ICS, it will eb a better/faster devcie than the Galaxy-Nexus ?
Is that true ? I would think since the Galaxy-Nexus is 6 months newer than the Galaxy SII, the hardware should be better ?
Anyone else ?
I switched from Sprint and my Evo 4g.
3G data speeds were killing me on Sprint with an average of 300-400kbps down...
4G took too long to turn on and it didn't work indoors at all.
Even though Verizon is more expensive, I really do feel like I'm getting quality service. My 3G speeds are about 1mbps or more down and 4G is anywhere from 6-25mbps depending on where I'm at.
I'm glad I made the switch.

Thanks for the info, yeah my biggest beef with Sprint has been their 3G service, slow as 1990's dial up modem. And in some towns around Chicago Sprint has dead areas, like no signal. In Orland Park where both my parents and sister live Sprint just doesn't even work around their homes.
But I am very happy with my Epic 4G Touch, it is rooted with a great ROM, and ICS theme.
Not sure if it is worth leaving Sprint for the Galaxy-Nexus and move to Verizon ? Would hate to leave, and then all of a sudden Sprint gets a kick ass ICS phone, and improves their network.

Wanting to try out T-Mobile. Got questions.

Hello fellow XDAers. I'm currently a Sprint user on the GS3 and I'm not getting LTE until early next year so my speeds everywhere I go are typical 3G speeds. (I get 2.7mbps at my house, but anywhere else is usually around 300kbps or so.)
I hear T-Mobile has 4G in A LOT of places and I'm seeing a lot of speedtests on T-Mobile that are on HSPA+ that have LTE speeds. I am a fan of unlimited data and that's why I'm with Sprint. But with T-Mobile being unlimited now, I was wanting to try them for 14 days. I'd use the SGSIII on my 14 day trial. Does anyone know the best place to order the GSIII (with a line of service) that has a good return policy (no restock fee) if things didn't work out for me?
I hear T-Mobiles reception isn't as good as Sprint though so this is why I want to try them out in my area.
Where are you located, if you're in a big city and you usually stay around the area.. you'll be perfectly fine.
There's also Wifi calling that t-mo has, so you won't use minutes (if you have that part added onto your plan/for free).
I switched from Sprint to T-Mobile and haven't regretted a thing. Sprint sucks now.
Walmart has the gs3 in both white and blue for $198. They also give u 14days to bring it back with no questions.

I'm in Jacksonville florida.
Wouldn't it be easier to handle it all online and just ship the phone back if I decide I don't like it?
I just moved from jacksonville to atlanta. Jax was wonderful with 4g. Never seen anything below 8mbs. You will be happy

I'm a little south of Jacksonville in Saint Johns (zip: 32259).
It all depends on location. The only I switched from Sprint in June and get better coverage, and data speeds and a little bit cheaper bill with tmobile. I am in North Carolina and don't have a problem. I am and having wifi calling helps if you are in low signal areas but have access to wifi.
I made the switch and have had positive results.

Hey, just to specify on the very first post, the "unlimited" data is capped at 2,5, or 10. But, they do offer an upcapped version that "doesn't let" (use a tether app other than T-Mo and you can) you tether.
I was stationed at NS Mayport so I was in Mayport, Jax, Saint Johns, Orange Park, and I lived in South Side on Gate West. Never had a problem with T-Mobile anywhere. Now Sprint... I got kicked out of the store for cussing out an employee because they called me a liar when I told them I could NEVER ever ever ever get over 200kbs down and upload... yeah ok... never could get a picture to update to Facebook on that ****ty network. I shoved that iPhone 4 up Sprint's ass went to the Amaze 4G when I was in Jax, now I have went through HTC One S and Galaxy S3 in Atlanta and I have never had a problem anywhere. I have had AT LEAST edge (2g) and call signal everywhere I have been and I use to make constant drives down to West Palm. Edge on T-Mobile maxes at aboutt 500Kb/s, and that is what Sprint's 3G runs... I hate Sprint... RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK! Take a Xanax before you call and cancel the service... You will need it they are f****ing retards.

That's epic.
Wifi calling is great because it means using your cell as a house phone with unlimited minutes. It's nice to only have one number without using any additional services. Also with wifi you get a great signal so there's no worry about connectivity at home.
T-mobile is CHEAP, especially their value plans. I've had them a few weeks and coverage is good so far. I did notice frequent dropping of 4g to edge today while on BART here in the SF Bay Area and was a little frustrated. But overall it's good. Like others said, if you're in a major area you should be fine.

What's the value plan and how do I qualify for it?
Here's something else I'll add. Even if you don't get 4G in your area with T-Mo, their Edge and 3G is faster other carriers' Edge and 3G, usually.
But, I know what you mean on Sprint. My friend has Sprint and their non-LTE 4G is terrible. I'm not exaggerating when I say that with T-Mo, I could load things faster on Edge.
But, that's here. Not sure how it will be in your area.

The value plan is where you pay off the remaining balance of the phone in 20 dollar increments over a certain period of time. Anyone can get the value plan when signing up. Unlimited everything including uncapped data is 70 dollars a month. That's unlimited data text and talk. It's a really good plan to go with.

You are not obligated to pay the minimum of 20 dollars a month. You can pay more if you want or pay it off anytime.

And once you pay it off you can upgrade to another phone instead of waiting for the 2 year upgrade like the other companies. Or just continue to pay 70 a month for the unlimited.

What?? This sounds wrong I think.
Do I have to get it from T-Mobile if I wanted the Value plan? Bestbuy doesn't appear to have the option.

Who is enjoying their T-Mobile Note 2?

I want to switch to T-Mobile from AT&T and finally ditch my iPhone 4S. I am so tempted by their unlimited data plan. How is the service in general compared to AT&T (coverage permitting of course)?
Is the new unlimited data plan really unlimited???
No they lie, it's not truly unlimited, they have limit at 9000+ GB per month ...

I love Tmo's service. I've been with them for about 3 years now & the coverage is pretty good. 4G speeds are good, a little slower than AT&T's 4G, but I've had both & the difference isn't really noticeable during every day use.
I had T-Mobile prior the iPhone 4S. Their service was excellent here. Some places EDGE, yes, but calls never dropped. I got onto AT&T and calls started dropping like crazy. During peak hours data was very slow. At first I liked being on a much larger network, but now I hate it.
I want truly unlimited data and better service. T-Mobile does have better quality service, its just not as mature as AT&T.
Loving mine. Had sprint for years but tmo is much better. Came from a tmo gs3 and I love this phone.,?

I left AT&T for T Mobile over a year ago and I am glad I did. I rarely get dropped calls and speeds are better as is customer service. Cheaper service and better service, imo. T mobile is faster with updates than AT&T ever was.

Believe me, I want to switch to T-Mobile so bad, but I dont want to pay an ETF with AT&T. It would be $195 if I left. Started service Oct 2011 with them.
Anyway, they drop so many calls and data sucks. Their LTE is nice but the costs are not. They also throttled speeds during calls too.
$140 for 4 lines, unlimited 4g,unlimited messaging, and 1000 minutes (never used) is a great price
love t-mobile data speeds customer service and all. I mean I live in a big city and I am inside a big city 99% of the time. I guess unless you travel a lot outside a city you'd be fine coverage wise. t-mobile data speeds is great too. I get 10mbps and up in and around metro-jax peaking at 27mbps.
last September 5 they introduced the truly unlimited nationwide 4g for $20 on value plan $5 cheaper than 5gb+hotspot. never been happier. I don't even know what wifi is anymore lol
I couldn't even hit 200gb on my laptop where I download tons of data and stream Netflix a lot so I wouldn't worry too much with 9.5TB of caps.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
I think that they had/felt like putting in a number. But after all that I am sure your billing cycle would be over anyways. Between my home and T-mo interweb, I usually DL about 300GB per mo.
I truely enjoy my Note2.
Note 2 is the sickest phone ever
For once there is a phone that is everything it claims to be. Note 2 passes my expectations in entertainment, for business, and for school. I've been entertaining people by the handfuls with this thing. T-Mobile has definitely made some big changes with their phones and their customer service. Although every now and again I get into it with them, but that's everywhere. I've driven cross country a couple times with my SGS and SGS II and both times I only lost signal in the most desolate places. Speeds are very impressive. I try to compare with other people and their different carriers all the time. There are moments when I get speeds close to Verizon users, using SpeedTest. Overall I'm very impressed with T-Mobile and their fight to bring back some competition to the phone market. I have unlimited everything including data with no cap to slow down and I only pay $75/month. That's including insurance for $7.
I've had T-Mobile for 8 years and I'm happy with my service. Not to mention all of my 3 lines have unlimited everything (no caps) and its under $100

Damn thats spensive . im paying 74.00 for 1000 mins unl/txts unl/4g and 3 lines and they gave me the note 2 for 140.00 after rebate at that price.
Same here I have had T-Mobile for 11 years thats since they were VoiceStream, love the service I live in NYC great speed and coverage for 2 lines unlimited everything for $100. As a matter of fact before I purchased my Note 2 my upgrade wasn't until june 2013 they gave me an early full upgrade for being a loyal customer. They actually have a loyalty department which I thought was pretty awesome great customer service have no plans on ever leaving.

But how does T-Mobile compare to AT&T? AT&T has LTE everywhere here in Chicago. T-Mobile does have a nice AWS HSPA+ network but its not as mature as AT&T's. Speeds top out around 25mbps too.
