[Q] Status/Notification Bar MODDING Help - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hello so I really don't like the status bar look and i wanted to mod it. I see picture of people with costume status bar everywhere but never a tutorial on how to do it. SO I RESEARCH AND TAUGHT MYSELF A LITTLE ABOUT MODDING IT. ANYWAY I WANT TO DO A CUSTOMER BAR FOR Juggernaut RIGHT NOW.
MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS THE twframework-res. DO I NEED TO MOD IT AT ALL. IF I MOD THE framework-res DO I NEED TO MAKE THE SAME CHANGES TO THE twframework-res
THANK YOU

Notification bar stuff is mostly in systemUI, couple of things in framework-res, twframework I've never had to modify on this phone. I think the tab layout bar's are taken from twframework, but that's about it as far as I've seen.

Help? Notification Bar modifying

Okay I want to make the status bar transparent and the pull down tray as well.
I want something like the transparency the top bar in OSX 10.6. I hate hiding my background and since I'm going for a minimal look, it's awfully distracting.
I tried to make the edits myself in photoshop and went ahead and resigned the .9.png files too. But when I pushed the framework-res.apk file back...only the notification bar had changed. and the pull down bar stayed solid.
Can anyone list for me which files specifically I need to change so I can make the notification bar and pull down tray transparent?
I would go ahead and make the changes myself.
I'm currently on FreshEvo, anyone think it would look better on cm6? or easier?
I found that 85% opacity seemed to work well enough but the black bar on sense was less than ideal, but acceptable. There was a problem with that too, the icons for mail notifications, cell signal, etc had their own black background that showed like black squares, I'd need to know which files to edit for that too.
I'm thinking that the aosp top bar, or if anyone knows of a white/aosp theme for senseroms, would work better.
P.S. The first time I edited my framework-res, I had to re-add all my accounts on the phone? what happened?? lol
All help appreciated

in launcher pro, making the status bar transparent wont matter becuase there needs to be a wallpaper hack i believe, unless you use a live wallpaper, the transparency will show. All the files are in the framework-res.apk that you need to change i believe, aside from the pulldown tray, that is the services.jar. i could post my theme for ya, but it changes everything.
What is your theme? Maybe there's a framework-res in it I could take a peek at to compare your edits.

What do you edit in services.jar? I cant find the reference to it... the pulldown tray, that is, making it transparent.
The bars in your bottom picture are in framework-res/drawable-hdpi/
-status_bar_background.png
-status_bar_header_background.9.png
-statusbar_background.png
-status_bar_close_on.9.png
In that order
You need to edit all of the status bar icons also they have black blocks behind all of them. Like stat_notify_disk_full.png there are some in framework-res and some in com.htc.resources
The white part can only be made transparent with services.jar. I know there are downloads of it on here just do a search for services.jar.
Manup has a bunch for download that make it transparent and remove the clock and stuff.
Here is a guide on how to make your own

Thank you, answered my question fully.
Would I be correct to assume that in cm6, all the status bar icons have white blocks begins them?

[Q] Remove icons from CM7 notification bar?

Title says it all. Can icons like the alarm clock, vibration, etc be hidden?
I'm pretty sure they can't but they're location in framework-res for editing. I've seen edits on them to make them appear removed but they're physically still there
That's odd, there are obviously morphs and flashable mods for other ROMs that can hide said icons. Is this not possible in CM because of the gb framework or what?
can hide but not remove
Any pre-made mods you know of?
What all icons do you want removed? I could create a meta morph file that could do this easily.
I'd like the alarm icon and the vibe/silent(?) icons removed myself, if you could do a morph that'd be amazing.
go to systemui.apk or framework-res.apk and delete the desired icons
Will doing that leave a space where the icon should be?
Sorry for the post on an old, dead thread, but did anyone ever get this working? I'm curious. I would like the alarm icon removed as well, but I don't just want a space there.

It is probably possible to remove them all together by someone with the right skills, but it would be tons of work. The simplest and most used way of hiding the icon is to edit the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk, replacing the icon poctures with empty transparent images. This stops you from seeing the icon but its still there and will still take up a space, it will just be a blank space.

Transparent status bar with CM7?

Alright, I just got a hold of CM7 for my Incredible 2 and wanted to know how I can get a 50% transparency status bar. I looked all over, even in that Meizu theme thread (or whatever it's called) and I still can't find out how to do it. Can anybody please give me a quick tutorial? Please?
Bump! SOMEBODY needs to know how to do this...
I would also like to know how.
I mean, I GOT it and everything, but the clock is centered. Rest assured I am restoring a Nandroid right now. I don't want a centered clock.

it isn't a quite tutorial, inverting the status bar mean, that you need to change the .png of the status bar from black to whatever transparency you want, I use paint.net...
then EVERY status bar icon has a black background.. you need to change probably over 100 icons give or take to have it look correct other wise u will have a transparent staus bar with icons that have a black background.
I suggest using the UOT kitchen. much faster. and it should do this MOD for u, I'm not sure I've never used it but people seem to like it.
download the Metamorph app and search for "metamorph darkshade.zip". The darkshade.zip file will theme your notification pulldown for you. You'll have to do a battery pull after applying the theme but afterwards you'll be golden.
I've tried using metamorph but it does do anything for my Inc2 and I'm on CM7. Any help?

Any chance you'd be able to change the blue to purple colors?? I wanna use xD
you just replace my color code #2686ff with a purple code, u can use paint.net to find the color code u want using my guide and change the icon colors.

[Q] Blue text and icons on status bar?

Hey all,
I have searched through this forum and the web on how to mod the status bar on the S4 on Tmobile. I would like to change text and icons to blue instead of white. I have seen screenshots from users that have posted on other topics but can't find a way to actually change the color.
Anyone have any info how I can get this done? I would like the same style icons though and not ICS or those from the Kitchen.
Thank you!

If you're rooted you can probably use Xposed and Wanam module to change the status bar color.

Thanks for reply. Isn't Xposed a ROM though? I'm trying to do it on a rooted phone with stock rom.
Thanks again
Do a search for Xposed framework
