Running Juggernaut 3.7 (doesn't have much to do but just to tell ya), I want to set my default alarm clock app to a different app. For instance, I run TypoClock and it defaults to google's default alarm app, I want to change the system's own default alarm app so when it opens default app, it opens my preferred app.
Is it a default path for TypoClock or can I change the system's choice of default alarm app?

Hey all.
is there a way to set the alarm to play a custom song (mp3) to wake me up?
if not...is there an app that can set these alarms??
Thanks in advance.
program called Mort Player is pretty good for alarms..
pTravelAlarm
Just put the .mp3 in the /windows directory on the phone and use the built in alarm app.
Wondering if someone can mod the stock LG alarm app. I want to assign each alarm a name and have them listed on the main menu, "7:00 getup" "12:00 lunch" etc. I believe this is a standard feature on almost all android alarm apps, except LG stock one. On LG's alarm I can add a "memo" for each alarm except its not displayed on the main list.
Attachment is the stock alarm app from AT&T v20c
Thanks!
well, seems nobody interests on this.
Anyway, get it fixed myself. Hope it doesn't break anything.
To use it, rename original clock app
/system/app/LGAlarmClock.apk
/system/app/LGAlarmClock.odex
to
/system/app/LGAlarmClock.apk.old
/system/app/LGAlarmClock.odex.old
then put the downloaded APK to /system/app/ folder and change its permission to rw-r--r--. Reboot to use the new app.
Based on AT&T v20c(liquid nitro) and not sure if it will work on other ROMs.
Edit on 3/23/2013:
uploaded a new version with slightly modified color. Also it works on v20f.
Hi all
i used to use 3rd party alarm clock apps until the 4.2 update which introduced a rather polished feeling clock app that i really like all is perfect from the timer to the world clock but there's one really REALLY simple feature that i don't have a clue how to do
CHANGE THE ALARM RINGTONE
and i am dead serious i ca't find a way to change it! theres only potassium hassium sium this sium that ....so any help ?
take any sound you want to use as an alarm.
create a folder on 'sdcard'
/sdcard/media/audio/alarms
put sounds in there
select from list in alarm app
You can change alarm sounds. I use Zedge application to download ringtones and alarm tones and notification alert tones. You can set it directly from within the app. They have a huge collection. Go have a look at it too
The OnTap Action says 'Choose on click behaviour, go straight to alarm settings......' but I don't see how. When I click to setup the OnTap, I only have Widget (Zooper Config, Disabled, Force Zooper Update), App List (which doesn't list alarm... it does list clock but using that doesn't go straight to alarm), and shotcurts (no alarm here either). I'm using Android's built in Alarm, no 3rd party app.
Any ideas what I'm missing?
Thanks.
I have the same problem on my Nexus 5 stock rom, but don't have it with custom roms...
It's the same Alarm app so I don't really understand !
I know how to set the ringtone, the notification tone and the sound for the agenda.
But I cannot find a way to set the default alarm tone.
Whenever I create an alarm, the alarmsound is default on standard ringtone (Alarm). I can change this but I cannot change the default alamrtone.
IS this possible and if yes how to?

Click to collapse
Click Done in the top left corner after setting it.

This only changes the alarm sound for the selected alarm, the default alarm sound stays untouched
