This is now confirmed through flashing. All thanks should go to the OPs.
EG30 modem.bin is now posted in qbking77's modem archive post
[Modem] [Odin] EG30! EK02, EG31, EG12
To get from EG12/EG31->EK02 modem.bin
- flash the full EG30 modem.bin in ODIN using PHONE button
- then flash the EG30->EK02 modem.bin patch update in CWM
CWM flashable EG30 modem.bin also available:

Przekret posted what appears to be a full EG30 RAR archive
Przekret - EG30 full - [post] [direct dl]
- RAR Pass: sampro.pl
- extract HOME.tar from rar file and flash in ODIN using PDA button
- does NOT include data.img so your userdata is preserved
- qbking77 installation video
id10terror posted the modem.bin extracted from that tar file

Sorry, I edited the post. You need to extract the rar file and pull the

I don't really understand the significance of this, anyone care to explain?
Isn't EK02 the better one?
You can only get the EK02 modem.bin if you are on the EG30 modem.bin
If you flashed any other modem (EG12, EG31), you previously could not get back to EG30 modem.bin
So the significance of this is people stuck on EG12 or EG31 modem.bin can now get EK02 modem.bin by flashing the just leaked EG30 modem.bin, then applying the EG30->EK02 modem.bin patch update.
You have to downgrade to upgrade....

EK02 Is the newer one that anyone with EG12 or EG31 could not flash because you had to have EG30 to flash it. Now that we can flash back to EG30 anyone with those modems can go to EK02
Flashed back to eg30 just waiting for the update.

Yeah, see post above for flashable zip
[ODIN][TAR] SPH-D710.EL26_CL839620 (EL26 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Full Restore - Rooted)
This package is now available. Included are:
Full restore for EL26 Modem, Kernel, ROM (rooted) - 2 versions, one which resets your User Data. The other preserves your User Data. This will NOT trigger yellow triangle NOR will it increase ODIN flash count. It does NOT suffer from the issue with USB jig functionality being hampered/disabled.
Individual tar.md5 files for EL26 Modem, Kernel, ROM, and Rooted ROM. This is useful for Mac/Linux Heimdall users.

I've never been able to update prl or profile (going back to several phones now) and really don't bother much with it.
Prl is easy to do with software (which I have and know how to do once you have the prl file). As for profile, quick call to C.S to provision account if I need to, otherwise once I have the MSL, I manually program.

Its Sprint, my speeds range from blazing fast 3 and 4g to the speed of smell. Late night is often the best speeds. Try updating profile and prl after changing roms. It helps especially if you flash a lot. Also that app is sometimes slow, the speakeasy speed test is often more accurate.
Try flashing the EK02 modem as an experiment and retest your speed test.
I wish I could flash EK02 modem. I have Blu Kuban ICS FE10 ROM, & the earliest modem I can install is FB15. I reverted back to FD02, so I will see how that acts. Here's hoping...
Why can you only go back to fb15? Any modem is compatible with GB or ics.

I haven't, but I work from home and am on wifi most of the time. One person reported that calls were being dropped when switching between two calls (call waiting) using the LEM modem but that was fixed with the LG1 modem. Another person reported in the OTA thread better performance with the new modem.
Give it a shot. You can always go back to the LEM modem if you want.

As you all know, the T999V variants and T999 can not flash the radio/modem files interchangeably between the two.
As such, does anyone have a copy of the Modem? I'm currently running an JB Rom with an ICS Modem and getting some really sad speeds. I checked the Sticky here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880987
and it is currently not posted.
If anyone is using this Modem, I believe you could follow the steps in this guide to a certain extent:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27584839#post27584839
Thanks in advance to all that reply!
after further googling, I think all I need is some kind soul to extract the modem.bin from their phones. Afterwards, I think I have enough tech savvy to repackage the Modem.bin into a CWM ZIP file for public consumption.
Please follow the steps using either ADB or Terminal on your phone to extract the modem and then post it here. Thank you!
Requirements:
1. CWM Recovery & root (Thanks Chainfire!)
2. ADB setup and know how to use it! or Terminal Emulator app
3. Samsung KIES drivers installed
4. Power on device, Enable USB debugging
**If you don’t how to do above, then XDA forum search and Google is your friend**
Steps:
1. Dump your current modem onto your internal sdcard

For me it's the same as the previous version. Maybe better signal if you are far from the tower.
Anyone know why does the updater script and radio file still say VLLH2 for the baseband file name? I'm assuming that it is just a left-over from reusing the packaging from the previous baseband zip.
Has anyone tried this and confirmed that it is truly VLDLL1 via the About/Phone menu?
File sizes are different -- new version is quite a bit smaller...so they are not identical...
I'm getting mixed inputs here. I have a t999 T-Mobile Galaxy S III and every time I update my Cyanogenmod ROM (which I've been doing for years) everything goes smooth but when the device boots up, it says "unknown" for the baseband version. If I flash the UVDMD5 radio it goes back to normal. But every single time I flash a new nightly this happens. Just wondering if this is a fix for that or if there I no fix. I rooted with the stock root injected .tar file just like I've done 3 separate times. This is the only one of my 3 S3's that has done this. I confirmed that it was NOT a t999L model before anything. Is there a possibility that this device could be a non t999 without saying it is? Or is it possible that this is a t999L model without showing that it is? I'm very lost here. Nobody seems to have the same issue as me. I've searched through hundreds of thread pages to no avail. Help please somebody?
I've no idea why it would do that. Sounds like some sort of Rom issue maybe? If it was anything but a T999, the md5 modem would not work btw. But I've never heard of thus before, so it could be some sort of unknown corruption somewhere in another partition. Purely a guess on that though.
If you Odin back to the LJA, or any other build does it still do this? Does it happen when you flash any Rom? Or just cm? If it's only cm, then I'd ask in the Rom thread. What about other kinds of flashes, such as kernels, recoveries and mods?
