Revolutionary sense fix and languages - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I am planning to give my phone to a friend and I want to revert it back to its original form.
I have a question about sense fix and the languages available on the phone. When I flash safe WWW ROM, I have all the languages available on the phone (I specifically need Turkish). But after I apply the sense fix, I loose most of the languages. Now that I know the languages are there, Is there any way I can retain the languages by maybe editing some files in the sense fix zip file.
Thanks for the reply

I guess I could not explain myself properly. I am already aware of the sense_fix.zip you mentioned.
After alpharev s-off, and flashing wwe rom, the settings wizard and htc wallpapers, and scenes dont work. But you have many many languages available under settings/Language and Keyboards, such as Turkish. But once the sense_fix.zip is applied, yes the settings wizard, wallpapers etc. work, but you loose the many of the languages, no more Turkish for example.
So my question is, is there a way to retain these languages and fix the sense ??

Use RemPuzzleROM It is the Sense rom. Settings wizard, wallpapers etc. work and available Turkish language.

Thanks for pointing to me rempuzzle. I figured it out how to enable Turkish in wwe ROM. All I had to do was take some files from rempuzzle.zip and put them in to wwe zip and voila I have Turkish language now.

Hebrew Built-in: Help required

Hello,
I speak Hebrew and I wanted to know if there are Hebrew fonts built-in in the Desire. I'll be glad if someone could check his device (I get mine in a few days) Is there a possibility to replace to the Hebrew language or at least set to read Hebrew fonts.
Thanks in advance,
Yaniv
.
Hebrew and other right-to-left languages such as arabic and farasi are not supported built-in in the desire unfortunately.
technically, right-to-left is supported by android, but those languages are not there built-in.
AFAIK, you can only get the RTL languages by rooting the device and either install a custom ROM that has the language, or install the language by following some steps and installing some APKs and fonts (different from language to language)

Cooked ROMs from other android phones sometimes include Hebrew fonts. Until someone finds a way to install custom ROMs I think you will be out of luck.
The Desire has now been rooted and you can apply Hebrew and Arabic fonts using the files on the following site:
tinyurl . com / desireroot
Personally, I've rooted my phone but haven't tried the fonts.

The hebrew fonts were tested and found to be ok, except the gmail.
The exchange, sms, websites are working properly.

Add missing language to Froyo ROMs?

hi - is there a way to put additional language into Froyo roms? I am not talking about morelocale but to make that langaue will be visible and usable under all system menus
Cheers
Same here. I'm looking for this too. Can someone, anyone answer this?
I'm also looking for this, Took a look in titanium backup. The stored files in Country, Language, Time zone are
/data/property/persist.sys.country
/data/property/persist.sys.language
/data/property/persist.sys.localevar
/data/property/persist.sys.timezone
might work to push these files to a rom. or to make a update.zip. Not sure if this is all the needed files
If you can live with the WWE rom, but only want another language, because of the xt9 dictionary in messaging. Then some of the languages can be downloaded from the market. I have downloaded scandinavian keyboard and dictionary to it.
I know it works with swedish too.
Download Morelocal 2 I have Danish UI atm.
Which rom are you danish guys using by the way ?
I have internet connction problems with most of the froyo roms. Do ya have the same problems ?

I was wondering the sme thing as they mentioned not MoreLocale but MoreLocale 2 does work
MoreLocale 2 does not work well for the Froyo.
More locale2 works perfect for me. I am currently running English UI with danish keyboard. And I have been doing so on all the different roms I have tried. Luckily Pauls MCR r5 has danish by default so I don't have to use morelocale here
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
At the moment im running LeeDroid 1.3a
Danish UI is included. Inclusive keyboard + dictionary.

MoreLocal 2 works FINE with Froyo, with or without Sense.
There isn't suitable information in this thread. Because as said before, morelocale is not a solution everytime. Even if you select a locale form morelocale, the keyboard language isn't changed. So, as far as I learn that HTC_IME.apk must support your locale. For instance HTC_IME.apk that is in 2.04 based roms doesn't support Turkish keyboard, however HTC_IME in 2.06 supports Turkish keyboard.

Good question.

[Q] ROM with Multi Language

My droid incredible is currently rooted and I have used Nils Business GingerSense which has languages other than English and Spanish like French or Italian. Are there any roms that have numerous other languages? I read that a number of rom developers remove the language features in the interest of memory but there must be another rom with multi language support?
Thanks!
What kind of languages are you looking for? What you heard is correct, most devs remove other languages for space reasons.
I am actually looking for a ROM that has Russian as a language choice. I just realized that Cyanogenmod 7 also has multi language support but I should clarify that I am looking for a Sense ROM. Is there an add on that I could flash Russian to a stable Sense ROM so that all of the menu items are in that language?

I haven't been stock in so long, does it have Russian to choose from? My guess is that if the Incredible didn't come with Russian, it's probably not ported to be in Russian especially because this phone is only available in the US.
That is what I thought at first too when I rooted but Nils Business GingerSense and Cyanogenmod 7 ROMs were able to get Russian among many other languages to be used for the menu items of the phone(not just English and Spanish that is limited to the stock). I know the developers remove the language but I wonder if can provide the option to add them back or maybe a particular language back?

[Q] How do i get dutch language on my Desire HD?

Hi guys, I have a question. I have bought a new HTC Desire HD, but it is only in English and German. How can I set Dutch language on the phone? Does somebody have the right Dutch firmware, the right flashing tool and the right flashguide for me so I can flash it? Or does somebody know an other way to set original Dutch language?
Regards,
Tuny
Try a custom ROM with language support or install app "more locale 2", not sure about Dutch support though. Also may need root & give su permissions (can't quite remember)
Sent from my SGS2 or HTC DHD
I tried more locale 2. It does have Dutch support. But the problem is it only converts the English app names to Dutch, and it doesn't convert the menu's (settings, folders) itself. I have searched for custom roms but couldnt find anything. I only have found a program called: RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed.exe
Does this work? If it doesn't work, where can I find any custom roms or any root files for flashing to DutcH? please somebody help

Hello my fellow Dutchman. First, let me ask you some questions:
- Is your DHD perm rooted or not? And do you have it S-OFF?
- Do you have a Dutch DHD or did you buy it abroad?

I was browaing through the kernel sources of htc dev qnd i filtered it by region and set it to israel and it didnt find anything so that it mean that htc havent made a hebrew rom yet?
