Is there a way or setting i am missing... - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

To invert the stock messaging app. Too much white background. A black background and white text would be easier on the eyes and the battery.

I would give Handcent SMS a try it has a lot of customization and I believe it comes with a stock theme that can be in white or black. Though i use the android green theme.

eewww. Hand cent. Didn't like on n1.

Screen problem

Hi. This is going to be really hard to explain but lets just say im at the homescreen for a couple of seconds and then i hit the app drawer/menu button to go to my apps, then go to settings or anything with a dark background i can see the app drawer button imprinted on the screen .is this screen burn in .. It dissapears after a while .its like the screen take its time to adjust colours ..

I've heard that these phones have screen issues, but these are LED screens, not CRT. As far as I know, its not a burn-in issue.
It could just be a slow draw time on your ROM which causes an overlapping image. Try doing a nand backup and then install another rom. Then from there we could determine if its a physical issue

Can anyone provide me with a link to a black keyboard mod? Just the keyboard itself nothing else.

It should already be there system wide... you could try downloading the add on dictionary in keyboard settings if you haven't already done so
It won't be all colorful and every as you may expect, it'll be kinda small and in black and white

Problem is unless its released in that color option from the get go then most don't get it.

looks like its just black/chrome and the lighting of the white table is reflecting.

Looks just as bad as the white GNex with that half/half combo instead of having the front painted properly white.

Thank god I'm not the only one who feels this way. I was wondering if there was anyone else who can't stand that.
Not white

I'll stick with black when it comes to Nexus phones. It just looks so damn sleek when it all blends in with the screen and absolutely no carrier/manufacture branding.
Please discuss other phones in the Sticky in General
Thanks

Thanks for posting these. I lost the HD I think but I love the cm icon over your wallpaper!)
Brights better imo.

I like dark ones but here's some I've been using lately... never posted pictures before but i think the quality will be compressed...
For the first one, I increased the contrast and black levels to make it look better and save some battery... last one is from the LG optimus 4X. You gotta try it on that super amoled screen

The results are stunning with brightness level medium-high.
Last one not HD but still looks good enough. I may have to sharpen it with photoshop

I like black and white pics of flowers. These are the two I'm using at the moment, the orchids on my GNex and the lilys on my tablet
