Screen problem - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi. This is going to be really hard to explain but lets just say im at the homescreen for a couple of seconds and then i hit the app drawer/menu button to go to my apps, then go to settings or anything with a dark background i can see the app drawer button imprinted on the screen .is this screen burn in .. It dissapears after a while .its like the screen take its time to adjust colours ..

I've heard that these phones have screen issues, but these are LED screens, not CRT. As far as I know, its not a burn-in issue.
It could just be a slow draw time on your ROM which causes an overlapping image. Try doing a nand backup and then install another rom. Then from there we could determine if its a physical issue

It seems to be a problem in ICS, it doesn't happen to me a lot tbh but it happens every now and again.
The way I deal with it is exit out of the message thread and then back in.
a future update may sort it out.

Are u sure it only happens me on aokp
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Well I'm pretty sure it happened to me too on cm9 and I think I've seen threads around here about the same thing and referring to other roms.
Use a third party SMS app.
But i love aosp app lol
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
This happens with me as well, I'm running AOKP too. This also happened on other ROMs for me too.
As above when it happened I closed it down and opened it back up and it worked, this was happening in Whatsapp, SMS, Facebook etc so doesn't seem App specific.
But yeah, even on the new builds still happens
Oright its just sms app for me .weird

Download pixel test from play store and see if your screen is screwed.

I just did that and its not a pixel problem , its more of a burn in screen . Like wat my droid incredible did where if I left on something like Facebook and finally back out of it its still there but faint . But the droids went away after awhile nexus doesn't its there , every time I turn my screen on

You won't see it in a screen shot, you need to take a picture of your screen with another camera.

Galaxy Nexus Camera white/titanium?

Hi, I have a titanium galaxy nexus gsm with CM10 and my wife has the white with stock 4.2 not rooted or unlocked bootloader. When I take micro pictures my phone auto focuses and takes a sharp picture. The white one trying to auto focus but it takes blurred pic. Does anyone knows why is there a difference?

Can anyone take a picture with their phone like a dollar bill. If possible so we can compair

Try to determine if its condensation. I would recommend you place your phone in a ziploc bag overnight with DRY UNcooked instant rice and see if it goes away
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Different camera settings? Condensation seems unlikely. Are you both on stock Android?

White one with bad pics is all stock locked boot loader . And the titanium is rooted with latest CM10.

The titanium on the back says ( made in china by Samsung) the white one says (made by Samsung) I don't know if that make a difference.

It's not a nexus. He's using the nexus to take a picture of the another phone to make his point.
Anyways, I'm almost certain this is a software issue/glitch. I used to have this error on a rom I flashed awhile back. It would focus when I tapped the image, but when I hit the shutter button, it would unfocus before capturing the image. It may be a problem with the camera app itself. I don't know if you can reinstall it without root, but if you can, that'd be my first bet. If that doesn't work, I don't know then. Sorry.

Weird screen issues root.

Hi xda,
My galaxy nexus is rooted on Android 4.3, using Franco kernel, using Lmt launcher and no custom rom. I noticed this purple bar at the bottom of my screen on my phone and I am curious if my phone has a screen problem and sometimes, there are random pixel jitters and it gets annoying when that happens. Do anyone know what this is. The screen shot is the pixel jitters

Try a stock kernel.

Franco is most certainly NOT a stock kernel.
So let me get this straight. You are using a kernel that is not stock, you are over clocking it and are curious why you have issues. Astounding.

OK I re-clocked the phone back to 1.2 ghz because that is the standard but the phone is still making those weird jitters and small random squares. What now? Here is a picture of it while I was playing nfl pro 2013

Go back to the stock kernel. How much clearer can I get?
Revert back to stock kernel and see if the issues are still there. Its called troubleshooting. Learn how to do it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
How do you revert back to the old kernel. Do I need to factory reset and backup my data or is there another way to uninstall the kernel
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
If you don't know how to get items back to stock you shouldn't be flashing anything to your device. There are stickies dedicated to explaining and instructing you. Read them and comprehend them.
