[Q] Bluetooth profiles in Revolution 6.2? - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just rooted and installed this ROM. So far so good. But I see it includes BT 3, which is a step up from the BT 2.1 that was on the stock ROM I had before. Is there a list somewhere of which BT profiles this supports? I can't seem to find one, there doesn't seem to be any way of getting this from 'settings' and I can't find an app/utility that is able to list them.
Anyone know? Or at least how I can search for them?
Thanks in advance.

Changing bluetooth stack

Is there any way to change the bluetooth stack when rooted? Or do you need to find a rooted rom with an alternative bluetooth stack already installed?
The reason for asking is the default 2.1 and 2.2 desire roms have a bluetooth stack that prevents bluetooth keyboards being connected. I gather some rooted roms with alternative or modified bluetooth stacks allow it to work, when using an app like Bluekeyboard JP.
So ideally I would be able to use a 2.2 rom with an alternative bluetooth stack.
I'm having the same problem, only my intentions aren't so noble as a keyboard. I want to be able to connect a Wii remote to play games. Apps like wiimote let you do this but problems with my 2.2 leedroid htc bluetooth stack mean it won't see it. I believe the problem mainly affects senseui based roms, which are the kind I prefer :S
Can anyone help please? I'll be very impressed if someone can figure this out because I believe its something HTC have done, not a 3rd party
Is there a fix for this?!
No fix.. and it is not possible. You need to use unofficial no-sense rom.

Are there good no-sense froyo roms out now? Or is it a case of waiting for a version of the official froyo rom to have sense hacked out?

*Bump* Has someone managed this?

[Q] does evo latest ota support bluetooth keyboards

do evos or android 2.2 in general support text input with bluetooth keyboards like this? if not is there a way to patch/fix it to allow them?
btw i mean latest ota as in fresh 3401 rooted unlocked, not regular stock unrooted locked
The answer to your original question about ota update and bt hid, I found the answer to be no. This is something I look forward too. Cm6 is the only Rom I'm aware of that supports bt hid and I tried it myself and it worked very good.
As far as the rest of your questions I don't know.

AOSP Roms and built in tethering

I have search quite a bit today and cannot seem to find a resolution to my issue. The built in wireless tethering in any of the current AOSP roms doesn't work well for me. It doesn't allow changing the channel, it doesn't allow access control, it doesn't allow me to see what systems are connected, it doesn't allow me to see how much data has been used and what the through-put currently is, etc, etc, etc.
The android-wifi-tethering app has all of that and under a sense rom works great for me. I have searched and found other people that have had these same issues and the answer is always "Use the built in tether app, its great!" or anyone who actually gives an answer (IE different wifi drivers) has let their links die.
Is there anyone that has gotten the android wifi tethering to work on a GB AOSP rom? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I never got built in tether to work on AOSP roms. I usually have to use barnacle. Sense roms = no problem. I need tether to work, its a must for me and a deal breaker for these AOSP roms Id like to use
Works fine for me on salvagemod and cm7.1

I believe the issue is with a missing file on SD card. There was a thread where teh roxxor explained it n got it working, but you will have to search for it. Can't link it now

This is correct. Make a folder on your sdcard named android.tether, then place the attached file in the folder, and then uninstall/reinstall wireless tether. It's no longer available in the market, so I attached an apk of that as well. I would have linked, but I can't find it at the moment.
Edit: You have to rename the file, just delete the .zip, because you can't upload a bin file for some reason.
check it out

well to start off you may click on the link in my sig to see all aosp roms/kernels and their download links. second if you have an aosp rom and you used a wifi-tether app, than you just broke your wifi tether in the app and in the rom, just delete the app and reflash your rom/kernel. i have used decks gb rom, ICS(Mod7) and i am running the latest cm7 nightly #256 atm and my wifi tether works great. if you are interested in updating your radios there is a link to it through the thread in my sig. if you do check out the link in my sig feel free to ask questions or give comments in the thread. hope i helped ^_^

[Q] Paranoid Android 3.0 questions

Just recently installed Paranoid Android 3.0 RC1 and I have a few questions I haven't been able to find answers to.
1. The recent apps screen has no way to clear all that I've noticed, is it just not implemented yet or is it not planned?
2. I like to use the slider lockscreen, and usually there is a way to customize the sliders for different apps. I'm not seeing that option anywhere, any ideas?
I'm aware that this might simply be because its still in the works, but I saw no mention of either of these things while browsing the forum.
Thanks in advance for your help!

[Q] [P600]- CleanROM 2.0 R2 -★ Praise/Question

The install was seamless, and this ROM runs great! It works so well that I made a small donation of 20$. With this ROM and the addition of Bluetooth keyboard monitor used in conjunction with Google keyboard I have eliminated the loss of connectivity I was experiencing with my Logitech k810 keyboard. My only problem is that the air commands aren't working. I am wondering if there is a zip enabled file I can flash in twrp recovery, or if someone knows of a post in the development thread I am missing. Any help is much appreciated. As a postscript I would also like to say that the included internet browser is my new go to.
