I want to upgrede it to 1.2 and in same time to unbrand it ....
I've found the tutorial and the firmwares here http://badawaveapps.blogspot.com/2010/12/flashing-samsung-wave.html but i Don't know what version to flash ... I live in Romania (Europe) so S8500XEKC2 is good ?
Also, the spoof method from here http://badawaveapps.blogspot.com/2011/02/now-spoof-apps-in-official-bada-12-or.html will still work ?
you should flash your phone with xxjk1 ,it is the latest europian firmware which allows you to sp**f apps from menu and it is also bada 1,2 so you get swype too. .
Thank you. This is what I wanted to know.
Hello,
I have a korean wave 2(M210S). Is it possible to flash it with european(s8530) firmware, or not?
Thanks in advance.
Welcome.
Sorry. No idea... some asian/chinese Firmware have different Bootloader, different adresses in memory... maybe also different frequencies... not sure if CDMA or GSM too in Korea...
Please, can you maybe help us to get M210S Firmware to check few differences?
Is there any M210S Firmware for Download somewhere?
Or maybe internal Documents? Also for korean S8500 would be very helpfull.
Thanx in advance.
Sorry that I have no solution for you yet.
At this time better NOT try to flash S8530 Firmware with Bootchange... high chance to brick your handset.
Best Regards

this is the download link for korea version firmware for m210s, it's not full, lack of BOOTFILES and FFS
@ tenfar
Thank you very much.
Interesting things...
RC1 contains more/other Fonts like Applemint.ttf and ChocoCookie...
...
Will investigate other files...
my M210S is bricked now, and the only firmware i can find is KG1 but lack of BOOT Files is kies can find firmwares for downgrade?or is the check fus downloader can find the lower version of firmware? like M210SKSKA3 or M210SKSKD1?
"Kies" can only access latest Firmware in 2 types...
-official public
-or in Test Mode you have chance to access "Test Firmware" before release as offical public...
You can't choose... Kies Database choose for you...
We have to find other ways to find full korean Firmware...
Btw.
Please.
How is first Wave aka S8500 name?
I have forgotten, now I can't find.
Thanx in advance.
Best Regards
Hi all,
1- I have S20 ultra G9880 model. But I'm using it in Egypt so my provider csc is different than the firmware's csc. Since then, I never recieved OTA updates although there were multiple updates and I had to download the whole firmware and install it with odin. So is there a way to get OTA updates back to work?
2- I read on some other websites that there is a way to flash firmware from different model (for example G988U) on any snapdragon based model (like the one I had) but this has to be done with a patched Odin so it will ignore the model differences. My question is, is this correct? if so can some one post the link to this patched odin ? or is there another way to flash a firmware of different model but with snapdragon processor in it?
Thanks in advance
I've not heard of this being possible before. But even if it were possible, flashing the firmware for the US model, wouldn't do you any good either, since that firmware doesn't have support for Egypt either. On top of that, the US model supports different bands that your phone doesn't, hence the difference in the modem.

Well, I wanted to install the US firmware mainly to be able to use the One UI 3.0 beta.
If there is another way to install it on my phone without flashing the US firmware then I'd be grateful to know
Sounds like a recipe for a disaster...

Did you flash the same Firmware (CSC) to get OTA's? Samsung sends updates, not your service provider regardless of your location so it's odd you're not receiving them.
On the SM-G9880 there are only 3 FW's compatible for flashing, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Android 11, One Ul 3.0 isn't yet available for your device however the Source Code is online. Likely you're better off waiting a bit longer, it should be available for your device by the end of the year.

With respect to updates if you own a PC often times Samsung's Smart Switch platform will distribute these before OTA's become avaliable which eliminates the need to flash your device.
Hi,
I got SGWA1 SM-R500 already with the following SW versions:
Tizen 4.0.0.7
One UI 1.5
SW: R500XXU1DSL1 / SM-R500NZDAXEZ
Knox: 2.4.0
SE for Tizen: 2.0.0
TIMA: 3.0.0
I searched a lot in this forum for the last 3 days but wasn't able to find all answers I'm searching for. So I would really appreciate if someone can give me a complete set of answers:
I want to use Samsung Pay, which is not available in my region - the Czech Republic. I understood that I need to change the region and probably it will be more complicated because of newest firmware version.
So:
What is the best region for the most up-to-date FW version with possibly all functionality. XAR-USA?
How do I do it? How do I change my region? Downgrade to ASAD version or trying to fiddle with "combination FW"?
Is there a way how to change the region but still receive future OTA or once I flash the firmware with Odin, there is no way back to OTA?
PLEASE, if possible try to describe all steps as detailed as possible.
Thanks a lot, this forum and people here are truly giving our devices superpowers!
I am interested too, how to change region on 4.0.0.7?
I have a little problem with my active 1 after the battery change there was an automatic update in which in the middle of the process the battery ran out and I entered the booting mode and did the recovery then my watch is out of firmware can someone help me please
