[APP] Call of Duty Elite now available!

For those waiting for the Android version to be released, it was this morning! Unfortunately, it appears to be just a port of the iPhone version. Our Android keys (Menu, Home, Back, Search) do not work. So bigger screens may have an issue reaching the in-app keys at the top of the screen. Other than that, it's pretty well polished. Changed some classes this morning and sent them to the game.

The app is free. The standard Elite service is free and the Premium service is $49.99. To see what you get in the Premium service, click here. IMO, the best reason to go Premium is free dlc ($45 value) and you get it before non-premium members.

DLC is $45? Whoa, what happened to the $19.99?
I would get Premium but unfortunately I don't have the funds to do so nor will I have then by the time the first DLC is released. Do ya'll think if I get Premium later I will be able to buy everything that has already been released?

Dlc has been $15 per pack for the past couple of games usually with 3 packs being released power game. That would give you the $45 reference (all 3 packs).
They're also found the dlc a little different for premium members. Free "Content Drops" every month. First one is next week (2 new maps). People without Elite can purchase the map packs at a later date (1st pack supposedly coming Feb/Mar).

I downloaded the app but it refused to allow me to log in so I uninstalled it.
As for the new DLC I'm not feelin' how the XBox 360 players are enjoying those new maps before the PS3 users. I'm a premium user (bought the Hardened Edition on launch day) but for the PS3 version and it sucks when the only game-related content available now is the dynamic theme while they've been advertising the new maps on XBL for at least a couple weeks.

Just an idea... Make sure you are using your elite password which required a cap letter and numbers.... Also you have to sign up for the free elite if you haven't. Good luck

Haha. No problem man. We are here to help each other. I did the same thing - tried to use my psn password & then forgot to use the cap that elite made me use. Glad your in!

The app won't save my changes to my weapons. It's pretty annoying.

Im pissed. I have never had a problem side loading apps before and them not being recognized by the market. But I used another app to back up my apks to my sd card and then install them back on my phone. For some reason now the apps I did side load that I want to buy are listed as purchased and I can't download them or purchase them.

I really don't get why the went from market to play... Strange choice of words IMO. Why not just keep the word market?
Now people will say hey you get the new app from the play store.....?

simple, use another gmail account
even if you call google tech support, they will tell you the same thing
it's a known issue, and they have no way to fixing them yet

Stupid for a whole thread, I know.
But if you had not noticed, with the new market app there is a nice little sale on some good games and a few apps. Not huge, but some good ones for cheap.
Dead Space, SwiftKeyX, soundhound, ect. Check it. Then ignore this thread.

****, if I can help you, shabby, my whiskey filled moment is validated. Lord knows you've made my life better.
I find I don't actually play much games, IRL. But I do like having the nice ones, for those moments. And DeadSpace, Sprinkle, and even FullFats "Flick" series are nice little time wasters. Esp since coming from the Evo4G, and i find myself always a little surprised when I don't have to think about "crap, do I have room for this useless app?"
And the others, yeah, either I have them, or don't need them... Unless someone has a recommend for mSecure or TuneIn for any reason?
PS, holy f*ck, Dead Space run/looks/is awesome. Wow. I am actually a bit stunned. Well played, EA.

If you're not a great mobile phone typist... and you just can't get the knack of swyping... then SwiftkeyX is the best keyboard out there. Great predictive tool... especially if you link it to email, Facebook, SMS and Twitter. It really learns your favorite phrases and sentence fragments... and it knows when to insert my entire email address after just a couple keystrokes.

Is it just me or does google play sound gay... Couldnt they have came up with a better name

yup.
it sounds "gamecentric" to me, which seems counterproductive if they are trying to get away from the android-only market perception, and get into offering all kinds of content, for all users, under one label.

Im just used to smart keyboard pro, it already has my custom dictionary and preferences. Ill probably use it when I get a tablet.
I don't like the play term either, it sounds very juvenile. It makes me think of an app store for a leap frog device.

Installing this game in my Evo3D instead of my HOX. This game offers more fun and more addictive play than Angry Birds! Thx for the info.

Thanks I was running a DPI changing software which was causing havoc... lol

The HD version and the normal version are exactly the same size. I was playing the normal version and didn't know that there was an HD version as well.
Any noticeable difference in the two? Visually, of course.

Tried it today and gonna have to remember to play it airplane mode as it jumps to full screen adverts!

I recommend this game for all the angrybird loving fans.
The best thing with this game is that there is not just ONE way to get through a level.
And some levels are really hard and you have to build and rebould until it works.
Somehow it reminds me about my childhood playing with LEGO.

PHONE STAND for PS3 CONTROLLER

I made 2 of these one for home and one for office. This is a great start for someone that's wants this feature for cheap and not have to pay 20 $ minimum for any stand like this.
Needed:
3 big Boston clips
2 smaller Boston clips
1 bunch of zip ties
I put tubing over the handles to keep from scratching controller and phone.
Also you will notice I used a very small diameter but strong yellow twine.
Try it or something just as ghetto and post pictures here.

Forever as long as the zip ties don't break. I've been using it everyday for 6 months or so. No issues yet

I use an app called six axis controller. I downloaded it on the Internet. You can make touch profiles for different games. Yes it works with bluetooth. Not sure if they have something similar for xbox as I don't have an xbox. Works awesome though. Flawless

They don't have one for xbox because it uses proprietary micro$oft wireless. You can't even use them on Windows without buying a special wireless adapter. Can't even use it through USB.
Six axis controller app works great though for ps3 controllers. Been using it for quite a while myself. I think they make mini USB to micro USB cables and you can just plug and play, no root or app required. But then I suppose the game itself would need gamepad support.

I still have both controller stands I made and they both function perfect. So to answer your question yes or lasts as long as you want it to. I use mine for about 40 hours a month I calculated. Dang that's allot of modem combat 4. I blow people's heads of constantly using this phone controller setup only. I love it.

Your welcome. I made 2 of them (1 for home and 1 for work) and I use them everyday since before this thread was made. I love it. My screen name for modern combat zero hour is I_KUMSHOT_UR_FACE. If you play multi player look me up and send me a friend's request and a message in game letting me know your from xda. I love to shoot the brains out and onto the wall behind them. Lol.
