Sports News app - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

I use to use BoFishSoft's Sports news center app but it was removed from the market. Does anyone know of an app similar to it?

There are several good sports apps. Depends what you like. For news, however, I suggest channels. You can subscribe to many different sports news channels. Just search the market for channels.
For scores, try score center. Soccer try fotmob, nfl try nfl 11,college football try bowl bound. I was unable to find a really good one for college basketball.

XBox Live games that are multi-player online?

Although XBox live on WP7 supports turn-by-turn games played against other gamers on XBox live, I can't for the life of me find a single game that supports this. I fancied a game of monopoly or somesuch against a mate of mine who has an XBox but that's a no-go apparently.
Anyone? Are there any yet?
i don't believe so, but really, it's up to the game makers to utilise this.
I've seen a chess game that utilizes this afaik
I was very very disappointed when I found UNO and Monopoly did not have multiplayer.
I am not trying to dog the OS or MS but this is their chance to focus on these types of features and something I expected from the company known for XBOX live. Hopefully things will look up for multiplayer in the near future.
I think this may be coming soon, maybe they couldn't get it into the launch games.
The thing that makes me think this is that if you go into Earthworm Jim for example you select "Single player" but there is no Multiplayer option so why wouldn't they just call it "Play Game" or something.
I'm not making the best sense here but hopefully someone gets what I'm on about.
Alpha Jax is the only one and its not live. Unless the January update brings another version of WP7, there wont be any Live games.
I'm waiting for an Xbox Live MMORPG. Then I'll have to go buy an LG Quantum. And sign up another WP7. LOL.
Game Chest:Logic Games contains a Chess game. this appears to be multiplayer, in that you can send out invites. But those invites can only be sent out by email, and there is no support for your XBox Live friends list.
Not only that, but the email invites never arrive at their destination. I've sent out several, and none of them ever arrived.
Has anyone else had any success with it?

I'm with you on this one lol. WoW mobile or something lol.
Unfortunately, for the launch of Windows Phone 7 there won't be any true multiplayer options besides turn-based games, though Kevin seemed to indicate that head-to-head gaming (whether over a local or wide network) was in the roadmap.

Still trying to get a multiplayer game of Game Chest: Logic Games chess going but so far no joy. Tried sending a request to my work email address but it never came through. Does the person you're emailing also have to have an XBox Live account or something? I invited another mate of mine who does have an XBox Live account but still no joy.
Anyone have any luck?

So Excited To Be Back!

Found an original Focus semi cheap while I'm waiting on the 32GB Galaxy Nexus and the 900 to be released. So I'm moving back here for at least a couple weeks. Last time I was on WP was just when Mango dropped. Looking around YT and our WP app section. I feel like a kid in the candy store. So many users and new apps. Good to be back, I really really enjoy this OS.
Anything cool I should check out? (Vable Browser looks Chrome-ish!)

Depends - what you are looking for? games? navigation? tips?
Play with tellme some. Ask it weather in san fransico. Say start app. Say find "insert address here) and you'll see the map program come up. Say find pizza (or if indoors and no gps find pizza (your city name)
There is so much to play with - you have to give us an idea where you want to go 1st.

Anywhere dude. I'm really missed "Hello everybody I'm George Ponderer for WPcentral." Listened to everything on thier YT channel last night. I just went back into my WP account and cleaned that up. Looking for a decent TBT Nav app. Got a couple browsers listed to try. Put Ziggy on the list. What's cool? What apps do you have on your WP?

I'm an app whore lol.
The best offline TBT would be navigon. It's 3d also and the most expensive. For 2d, turn by turn works good (online one is pretty cheap) Built in bing works great also but doesn't auto voice announce.
Grab an app called AppFlow.
It will show you the trends and has good recommendations.
Freda is good ebook reader
Keyring for keeping shopping barcodes
Urban dictionary is hilarious along with I LOL'D
theChive is good
xda forum app of course
The most used ones that i use for keeping up with WP7 and technology are WP7 News (Which rocks as it scans like 2 sites for news) and Tech news now
If you like four square, 4th and mayor is the best.
...I'm a WP7! rocks
Amazing weather or weather channel are great weather apps.
Forward contact is great to share contacts with via qr code and scanning with bing vision (no bluetooth needed to share a contact)
Titan is a great FREE game.
That is just some i could think of.
If you're into twitter check out Carbon (other thread about it)
The devs are planning a sweet update too.
If you're looking for a beautiful weather app use Weather View (former called Vädret).

[App] A better App than Yelp App for finding great the BEST food near you

I have been developing the Spawt app for Android for a while now, what it does is that it recommends you the BEST places to eat near you. By curating content from various sources with Yelp being one of them, I am happy to say that the platform knows the best places to eat in the US (Best Of Yelp) and Singapore (HungryGoWhere).
What is it?:
* The simplest and most intuitive way to find the best food to eat, near you.
What it isn't:
* A food directory (like Foodspotting)
* A business review service (like Yelp)
* A check-in service (Like Foursquare)
What do I use it?:
Open the app when you are hungry and deciding where to eat.
App finds your location, and tells you the best places to eat near you, complete with pictures, directions, comments, etc.
What does it require?:
* Facebook account (For Facebook Connect) - Spawt is inherently social. One of the ways to improve recommendations is by crowd-sourcing your friends so you and your friends can mutually recommend great experiences to each other.
---
And we are just getting started. We are looking into adding events that's happening right around you next.
Let me know what you think

My bad I wanted it to be immediately useful to the users, and unfortunately, thus far we've only added content for both US (Yelp) and Singapore (HungryGoWhere).
I am happy to say that if you are american or singaporean, this will be immensely useful, but otherwise, you wouldn't discover anything unless you already have friends using it.
But I will be happy to add content for your country, if you have a site where I can get content from. For example, a Yelp for Canada or UK, that reviews/rates restaurants?

Google Now sports cards

I know Google Now is for people in the "US Only", but is there any way to get it to show international sports teams?
People in the US can't be interested in domestic sports only, surely?

No matter what I do, it won't show me any beloved Tottenham info - I think us football types are out of luck. Searching for a baseball team added it instantly.

glad it's not just me, I can't understand why they'd limit it to domestic sports though, especially with all their (USA) sports lovers and sports channels, seems very short sighted by Google

well it makes sense, why would ANYONE ever want to see spurs information?

I'm thinking the team has to be currently in season because I can't get NFL teams but my baseball team showed up immediately.

Season Has To Start
The season has to start first you wont get any info till then once it starts you'll get your Spurs, Leeds info
Can't add any teams, in the UK but want to add the Red Wings...nothing...don't see the logic in even thinking about putting region restrictions on stuff like that!
I really wish they would add support for NCAA teams. I was so excited to use Google Now for my Spartans, but no dice
I do believe that as of this past wednesday, you could add teams, I added Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and of course the San Francisco Giants...
Added Barcelona and I see cards for them. Added West Ham, no cards. Even though they are on there and selected.
Sent from my Gnex running Liquid Smooth ROM and Morfic's Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Trinity Kernel.
Really wish they would add the 72 other professional English teams, football isn't like American sports, there's no franchises, teams are representing their city, they can be relegated and promoted, teams in the lower divisions can get much higher attendances than some of the top division teams, seems silly that they would leave out the majority
I'm sure they will update the app and bring more sports to it and more teams.

isnt it only illegal to download or provide the content? maybe more unethical to stream to your tv but dont think its illegal for those simply streamin a video off the internet

Depends where you live. It isn't illegal if you stream where I live just unethical
Best Kodi Add-on
My favorite Kodi add on is not even an ADD-on. I like a specific Build with all the add ons in it.
Google this: "spinz kodi builds"
I like The Royalist build; mostly because it has an interface that doesn't look like a poster you'd find on the wall of a teenage boy's bedroom. Nice, clean and minimalistic. Very tasteful
Dear god spare us the sad story lol
For me it's Ice Films, Kiss (Anime, Cartoon), and US TV Now.
Depends where you live. It isn't illegal if you stream where I live just unethical
Same here... Though in theory you could still be in trouble if you manage to get caught. The thing is it's to much bother for the Rights holders to just go after everyone with a Kodi Box. And for the moment there is no criminal code in the books to stop anyone from doing so.
So at worst it's a civil offence, and until that changes its up to one's own moral compass to judgde.
But is it not odd that the fist Ones to yapp up about this, are also the first ones that also condone ripping their DVDs & Bluerays into their NAS Boxes? Of course you point that hypocrisy to such People at you own risk. Of course back than it was still about how to read a TV Subscription SmartCard to be shared along a line of Networked DVRs. Again not against the law as such... But, definitely against the T&C's of the Contact.
I use Paradox build on all my devices.
Its quality one stop solution with frequent updates and good support
cali cord cutters krypton build with kodi 17 rc2.. ftw
