Installed a hacked exchange security email.apk and the cwm zip deleted my email.apk. unfortunately it was for an un odex rom. Could someone post the original email.apk from system/app on ics? I need the original as i am getting errors with the new one!
Thanks

Just flashed latest cm7 nightly, everything seems great but the gallery app is much slower. Im guessing the stock one is modified a bit by samsung. Can anyone upload the apk ? thx
Hope I'm not too late, but I have the .apk and .odex files. I tried to attach them but there was a message about security issues.
Do PM me your email address if you still need the files.
Hello,
I have installed the JVS 2.3.5 ROM on my Galaxy S I9000, with CF-ROOT 4.1 and I'd like to have the SGS 2 email app.
I've extracted the email apk from the F1 Galaxy S II V7 (email.apk and emailWidget.apk) and I copied it in system / app /
But it doesn't work. Do you have any solutions ?
Thanks to all
try this, worked for me.
Thanks.
But do I have to put the META-INF folder somewhere on my phone ?

No (ten chars)
I copied the email.apk and emailWidget.apk in System/app , but it doesn't work.
May it due to the odex email file ?

I'm running Lukiqq's Supersonic JVS which is deodexed.
Why don't you just run the zip file through CWM, instead of pulling the apk's out ?
Simple and it works.
It should work if you're on stock (samfirmware or similar) JVS. It shouldn't work on CM7 (or similar) because it needs the touchwiz framework.
Logcat should tell you why it isn't running.
It's now working on JVS 2.3.5 Stock ROM deodexed with TW 4.5.
Thanks for your help !

thanks.. didn't seem to help
I upgraded (via OTA) from ICS to JB and forgot I modified HtcClockWidget.apk and the upgrade from ICS to JB actually patches the apk and odex and since I had modified those system files it never patched them.
Oddly, uploading your files still doesn't get my Clock widget back.. I'm stumpted.
I booted into recovery, put the files in /system/app/ and wiped cache/dalvik but I still have no clock widget.
Logcat shows..
W/PackageParser( 436): Unknown element under <application>: uses-feature at /system/app/HtcClockWidget.apk Binary XML file line #18
Ideas ?
Hy

Hello!
This is a Google Drive folder with all the deodexed .apks. I knew it would come in handy.

There is no need to download the .odex file because those .apks are deodexed, so they don't need an .odex file too to work.
Just get the SecGallery2.apk(direct link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B03kWBzzGaK6aEN4UklEWEJnR00/edit [I hope it works]) and place it on your /system/app folder and set permissions rw-r-r.
Oo thanks. I search and cant find anythink..
Can someone post the apk and odex file for the Samsung stock email, I deleted it by mistake thanks.
Hi,
i only have the apk itself ... there was no odex file.
Give it a try: E-Mail 4.1
