Have you tried re flashing or restored a backup?
Dude you posted like 6 minutes ago, don't bump. When someone knows they'll reply, and this is in the wrong section.
well im limited to where i can post >< so i just thought i will do it here
anyway i did a full wipe 3 times or so i connected the phone to laptop and formatted also the hard drive via laptop to make it totaly empty and reflashed again and it still turns right off after the startup i dont know what im doing wrong i do exactly as they say on juggernaut section
1. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP! well i didnt did this i dont rely on backups><
2. Download rom.zip and place on sdcard i did
3. Boot into clockwork recovery i did
4. Choose to flash zip (choose appropriate sdcard location) did this
5. Once zip has finished installation, reboot did this aswell
6. Now wait a minimum of 10 minutes (I know you're excited but don't touch anything!) did this aswell
7. Reboot Fails
8. Now you are free to enjoy the unstoppable JUGGERNAUT! im not enjoying

If you can't follow the instructions, you shouldn't flashing ROMs.
No offense, but seriously, it doesn't say that for funsies, we really mean it for times like this.
Now... when you boot into CWM what version does it say up top. Also, did you check the md5 when you downloaded it?

This made me LOL.
The only person who can get a Tmo SGSII ROM to boot on an International SGSII is Chuck Norris. I can tell you are not Chuck Norris because of your Thanks count. Chuck Norris' Thanks count is so high that only government supercomputers have the resources to display such a high number. The rest of us just get rerouted to a 404 error page and then our computers start smoking before the blue screen of death appears and our motherboards melt. I went through 4 computers before I learned this, now I have to write to my congressman in order to get the real number. Even then, by the time I get the number I have to add atleast another 150,000 Thanks to that to get the real number, because Walker Texas Ranger is in syndication and even when you thank the fictional version of Chuck Norris when he rescues little white kids from Mexican drug smugglers, his Thanks count goes up. Its very frustrating.
Either way, now you know. Flash International SGSII ROMs on your device and you should be ok.

You would need to check the thread for the international version. Since I only have the T-Mobile version (and I am a Noob), I see no need to look at the other version's ROMs. I don't want to get tempted by another ROM and have a brainfart and think it will work on my phone.

after trying every flavor out there, ive decided to stick with di18.
i am picky, i know, but the stock rom (rooted) is 100% what I like. there is not one thing that doesnt work the way i like it to.... so.... on that note
ive removed all the sprint apps, update.zip and its rooted but i cannot get the darn thing to stop asking me about the update...

I believe you could just rename or remove the systemUpdater.apk and it would stop checking for updates
.. I think thats the correct name but if its called something else please correct me
Edit: I would just use Titanium and "Freeze" the system updater at first. but i think this is removed on custom roms anyway so shouldn't be a problem to remove it

well, im a big fan of the syndicate rom but it carries over what i dont like
the "google" search is slower than the stock search
the browser seems slower
messages in the "call log" annoy me
cant search in phone app by last name
keyboard seems to "miss" letters
except syndicate, dk and ce based roms just seem slower
if i could build roms i would and remove the carrier iq and add the extra functions when you hold down the power button.
btw, im a guy.... i need to change my sn lol
so, im going to just remove system updater, hope that works
I'm with you,I liked DK28 the best out of all 3 FROYO releases, and I actually had DI18 on all day today just to see what it was like again; And I forgot how damn smooth it was compared to this hacked-up **** we have right now,I know EC05 is young (and I plan on building EC05 still) but I'm making a DK28/EB13/EC05 ROM with no carrier IQ,and most if not all EC05 mods should work,I start on that as soon as I get off work.

What you listed doesn't make sense...
the "google" search is slower than the stock search It is the stock search.
the browser seems slower Fast and checkerboardless in SRF.
messages in the "call log" annoy me Not present in SRF.
cant search in phone app by last name Fair.
keyboard seems to "miss" letters Better than DI18 and user-adjustable in SRF.
I don't think you need to defend SRF kOnane... I think my problem is UV kernels, but I still can't narrow down the static/pops. But this is what I've seen sofar, when fast scrolling (scroll fast, then remove finger fast) no pops, but if I scroll with my finger on the touch screen the entire time,it pops like crazy ; Which makes me think its the touch screen driver,or interference on the bus when using the touch screen...

its been reported by multiple people that doing a msl reset will soft brick your handset i would advise against it but there has been somecases that msl reset helps with there los or cod issues thank you have a great night !
after rigorous testing of came to the conclusion that los and circle of death are kernel related hence im on stock kernel with root and had no los or cod but on a zeo kernel once i leave a sprint zone and have zero service it never comes back on when im back in a active service area from what im reading i think there adding there tweaks into the stock kernel instead of building from source

What the hell are you talking about, with all due respect?
i personally tested 3 epic touch one stock one zedo and bubby and stock was the only one to repick the signal up im not saying the zedo or bubby did but sometimes they got stock keep in mine for zedo to get the kernel working he had to interject the correct command into the source so whos to considering this is his first kernel he wasnt missing a thing or 2 not saying he but but hypothetically speaking its possible i think by using a stock kernel that been tested before its released and that has the all the correct commands in it is gonna work better as a base for him im not bashing zedo i commend him for being the first for taking such initiative on something he never done !!! all hail zedo im just saying i know alot of ppl that did the msl reset and got stock with a unbootable phone i didnt say not to flash zedo alll i say was msl reset is a no go do what you want its a free world this is just what i advise
i did msl reset on 3 phones already and there were unbootable now this mite not happen to everyone like i said in my first post but why take the chance if it can happen

I got a lot of data drops today, at least 4-5 of them requiring a phone restart.
Too scared to do the MHL reset again seeing as the first time I did it on v2 it soft bricked my phone..
Has any progress been made in tracking the root of this issue down?

Got the Official Inc OTA 4.08.605.2 from WildStang, and I'm trying to install the 1% Battery Mod and the zoomyMod for my screen brightness, but they don't seem to be able to reside at the same time. I install one mod, and then when I install the other one, the first one goes away. Then I install for first one again, and the second one goes away.
I'm using CWR 5.0.2.0, and loading them one at a time, rebooting between each one.
Sorry for being such a newb, but been a while since I've done this (since my Eris early last year), but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Both mods replace the same file, framework-res.apk. if you want to use both the easiest way would be to install the zoomy mod, and then use uot kitchen to apply a battery mod your self. Or find someone willing to merge the two mods together for you.

I thought about it but i dont really have the time. I have 2 jobs 2 kids and a wife so that takes up alot of my time. Most of the time when im on here im at my second job where i jockey a computer screen for 8 hours. If i could get my job to let me set up a pc i would work on developing but i think they would frown on that lol. They would probably fire me if they knew how much time i already spend on my phone during my shift.

Yep be careful with that. Not worth losing a job over.
What I don't understand is that these miss were listed in wildstang's thread, but nobody brought this up. Just surprising. Maybe I should be surprised at what a newb I am...
Here's a workaround. Get zip themer from the market, and have it update it's edifyness. Then tell it to build a flashable using one if the mods. Flash the zip it creates in recovery. Do the same thing for the second mod. Zip themer is basically an upgraded metamorph; much improved.
Hi all Got a little issue here running cm10 just flashed from ics looks great runs smooth great job guys but here is the problem no data? I have my epic 4g touch flashed to metro pcs I went thru the instructions several times have wiped everything started over numerous times but still no data. The icons don't come on or anything. At this point I am stuck I have pretty good knowledge on how things work around here if someone can take a moment and point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. I saw another post on no data on cm9 and claims doing a nandroid back up from previous rom then flashing the restoring works but that did not work either was very brief in what he had done so description wasn't very clear. So that I can get a good reply this is exactly what I have at this point: SPH-d710 phone Android ver.4.1.1 Baseband Fh23 Kernel ver. #.).15-cm-g4471ee1 [email protected]#1 CyanogenMod 10-20120901-unofficial-d710 Flashed metro pcs with everything working talk txt web mms. Again Thank you all for any help in this matter these guys do some great stuff and would like to use this software. Keep up the great work guys.
To get data working on non-TW ROMs you have to replace a few files in the ppp folder. I don't have the Metro PCS files though, I only have the Cricket files

Sorry for the REALLY late reply.
This is the thread that lead me in the right direction: http://www.cricketusers.com/sprint-samsung-galaxy-sii-epic-4g-touch/32209-web-cm9.html
And this is the post with the flashable zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22162851&postcount=10
It says it works for "alternate carriers" but I'm on Cricket so I'm not sure if it'll work for Metro PCS. You can give it a shot though. Let me know how it goes.
Trying it now thanks will keep you posted on what my findings are thanks again for the pointer fingers crossed.
Was a no go thanks tho hopefully one of the developers will be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks again
Maybe look through this thread? (http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...-evo-all-info-here-rom-metrogenmod-7-1-a.html)
Edit: You could try the AOSP web script from this thread also (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795182)
I have the exact same problem but am now on blue kuban for the same reason... if you find a solution let us know i might try cm10 again
I will do some research and update you all on the outcome thanks again for the info
Ok looks like I may have to go into qpst and edit my internet settings but have ran into a snag on cm10 cant get the program to recognize the phone if I could get it to pick up the phone then I can reedit the settings for my data to work but like I said at a snag. Will update as soon as I can figure it out or something changes on the rom to access the modem. Any help would be appreciated.
just flashed cm10 will try something out also after thursday when i have time after school

SOLVED flashed the zip on Paranoidandorid 4.1.1 works like a charm thank you your awsome have a nice day
Found a answer
Ok boys and girls I found the stepping stones to how to make this work now mind you I am still working on it. This is what I have done thus far I went to playstore downloaded apn shortcut as soon as it hits your home screen you can click on it and change your apn settings to whatever carrier you are on then I went to my dialer and typed as follows *#*#4636#*#* this opens a window if you scroll down some you will see it say something other than cdma what you want there is auto cdma (prl) as soon as I did this the data came on now Im not in a good signal area but it came on it only showed 1x tho I do not know if that is because of my area. If anyone can test that and let me know we might have made progress and if I am doing something wrong feel free to tell me what it is. Again any help in this matter is greatly appreciated and if this helps don't forget to say thanks lots of long nights trying to figure this out. :good:
Ok figured out
Finally success the only issue is I'm only getting 1x I flashed the alternative carrier fix then I went to the dailer and typed in *#*#4636#*#* then scrolled down and changed the setting to cdma prl auto and data started working so now Im trying to get answers on 3g coming on sorry took so long to figure out Im still learning myself if you guys need the link I can post it if necessary. Also when you go in and change the setting to cdma prl auto you mayhave to click it a couple times for it to stick it may change itself to unknown just click it againg to cdma prl auto again til you get the data going and then it will stick. If this helps don't forget to say thanks

The fix adds these extra lines to your ppp folder
Ok some of y'all have seen the thread by diablo67 with his nandroid backup of dirty unicorn. Well we have teamed up to bring you his vision of dirty diablo. Now first off this is nothing more than a themed and tweaked version of mazdas rom so the major credit goes to him.
What you will get is a rom that looks like you just picked it up at the store. It has gapps installed along with a few extra apps loaded. When you boot up the phone you will not go through the normal first time setup of the phone it goes straight to your launcher which adw. Take a look at a few of the screenies and tell us what you think.

Alright I have created an OP under development and figured I would make this into a General duscussion, Q&A, and request thread.
screenies
Okay here is what we are looking at.
Sounds like a bad porn name.

Great find hipkat. Have been brainstorming for beta .2 already and sounds are top on my list.
What I have been thinking of is a combination of thunder cats sounds and devil reference music along with backgrounds and icons. Any suggestions?

I dunno about that devil reference music, me being a hardcore Pentecostal Christian and all, but I COULD sample some beats form some of my slyer collection.....
Well HipKat I think I will have just the thing that might work for you. Maybe ringtone will be The Devil went down to Jamaica. Those are the kind of references I was thinking of. Maybe you got a couple you would like tossed in?
Well so far its stuck in the Android boot loading screen.. Going to try and re-download on my laptop and flash again..

on the boot animation? black screen with android text? I know it takes awhile to load. If you can hook it to pc and do adb logcat. that will tell where or if it is actually looping or locked. I want to say the first boot took about 5-10 mins. I will also do a md5 sum on my files and compare them to goo.im to make sure it was not a bad upload.
Edit: md5sums from goo.im match what I have on my pc so uploads should be fine. I am reflashing to my phone to check it out also. You did wipe your sd-ext correct? I know most dont but with storage swap being installed that could cause an issue.

Ok I'm getting this stuff down pat but I haven't done a logcat yet.. How do I do that? And I am flashing again now... I will give it more time to load..
I only gave it about 3 minutes to try to load..

How to logcat
Yes 3 mins is not long enough. I just wiped my phone and installed rom it took about 6 mins to get past the boot animation. Diablo has a pretty blue animation that will be included next time. I would check your md5sums if it does not boot within 10 mins.
Ok so I let it sit for about 10 min that time still no go... I'm doing a nand back to 4 kornerz and gonna check the md5sums...
ok i am getting off for the night will check back in tomorrow and see how it came out. If anyone else has had this issue please let me know. I checked the md5sums on my sdcard just incase i mixed up the zips and those are the same also. So I am not sure what is going on honda but hang in we will get it working for you.

One thing no one has ever made is a ROM that appeals to an old Metal head like me, and I don't mean Motely Crue metal, I mean like Slayer/Rammstein/Entombed/Helloween, etc variety.
It would have to be very dark, like this:
Not the typical blue/black or red/black
I think I have a killer Icon pack for it too, that's all glass or grey, or if not, I can probably find it. Ringtones would have to be dark and heavy, like the Terminated.ogg (Attached and rar'd so it would attach)
That's a project I'd kill to help with.
Also, well over a year ago, some dude made for me a boot.ani of the old Paldium music channel promo of the trees turning into birds swooping over the ground. That was very cool. It may still be WA buried deep in the themes section
