I used to have a spare battery cover for my Evo 4G, as you never know when you may need one.
I've been searching the web for a couple of weeks to pick up a spare cover for my SE4GT, but have not had any luck.
I saw one on ebay I was bidding on, but it sold for $19.
If I find a source, I'll post it.
I just took a look and there are three up for sale on ebay, $25 each. If you search "Epic Touch OEM Battery Door" you can find it.
Newly listedOEM Samsung Galaxy 2 Epic Touch 4G Back Battery Door Cover Sprint
Try a Sprint store if you have one nearby - in my experience they will sell you one for 5-10 dollars if they have one! $25 for a flimsy piece of plastic without an NFC connector is pretty steep!

25.... no way.
Mine was damaged by mistake just last week as a matter of fact. I went to my local Sprint Corporate store, which is our local repair center, explained I needed a new one and the tech just GAVE it to me, no charge.
Don't know what your results will be but go ask, you never know.

I let my cousin play with it and somehow he lost it at public place.
That is hardcore, sorry to hear it. You may have to contact Samsung about a new back cover.

or wait a couple of weeks, and lots of it would be available on ebay for cheap, in assorted colors and designs as usual
luckily the antenna is not built into the cover like HTC phones
Samsung will replace it for you most likely. I know that my friend purchased a phone off Craigslist without the back cover and the imei was reported stolen to Samsung. They wouldn't help him out.
Often times when there's a missing back cover the phone has been stolen from a retail store. There's an adhesive puck that's placed and super glued onto the back cover.

Very true. I'm a retail rep and we super glue the hell out of the phones to the pucks. Many times I'll have some ghetto looking peeps come in asking for back covers because they lost theirs (probably lost it when trying to yank the phones off the puck lol)

i was just saying this in another thread. but because of the newness of our phones, there is a shortage in cheap accessories for it. but as time goes on they will come. have you called Samsung or t mobile? they might could order you one. im sure they'll charge a bunch tho...
your local Tmo might have a returned SGS II with an extra battery door. I know when i worked for Tmo all we had to return would be the main part of the phone and the battery (and even this wasnt required to be returned some times). We kept all the other items in a bin for customers so we could help them out, an extra charger, 1gb micro sd card etc.

Just wanted to let you know a couple have popped up on eBay. I bought one for $22 with free shipping and there's another one in N. Jersey but they want $40... search "T-Mobile galaxy s2 back" and it'll pop right up.

OMG!!! I need a battery cover!!!
Anybody know where I can find a battery cover? I bought a Galaxy S2 off of CL, brand new for $250, but the dude lost the box and battery cover. He gave it to me with one of those rubber skins on it, it gets the job done I guess. I've never really been a fan of those skins because I like my skinny, sexy ass phone to stay skinny and sexy. I tried Ebay, Google, T-mobile stores and bupkis. Help me!!!!!!!!
Just call Samsung and tell them that you have broken the cover, they will send you a new one for free or a minimal charge
hmm... i'd be surprised if it ain't one of those stolen demos from phone store displays
wish you luck the IMEI is not black listed
otherwise you got a very nice $250 T989 WiFi Tablet

thats what i was thinking also.
Nah I don't think so. Dude actually had 2 of them, the one he was using, and this one. He said this one was his wives and she didn't want it, plus they needed money. He told me they moved recently and put the phone in his pocket so the movers wouldn't be tempted to steal it. I dunno, seemed legit to me. It's working good for 2 days so far, I even took it to a T-mobile store today looking for a battery cover. I dunno, guess I'll find out sooner or later.
where could i find another one?
how much will it cost?
will sprint give me one?
I just found one on eBay the other day for $11 free shipping he said that he had 2 more for sale check that out u might get lucky

i work at a preferred retailer, and we just GIVE these out... check around locally
I just got a replacement door the other day for $14.99 (shipping included) off ebay. My dumb ass tried to remove the Sprint logo using paint remover and the paint remover...well lets just say it also removed the plastic lol.
I still have the old door. I'll probably buy some type of carbon fiber wrap for it & use it as a backup.
I got a battery & external charger for less than $6 off ebay (free shipping) an it was from the states vs china or japan. You might be able to find both parts not together for cheaper. Just make sure you search the OG samsung epic and the 1800 mah battery and they are far cheaper than the epic touch batteries. external charger doesnt matter since the batteries are the same size from both phones.

I was wondering if we can buy parts for our phones i would love to do a panda themed phone. (Black bezel with white batt door and front plate)
I had two HTC Android phones, and was able to pick up body parts for them, but even though I had pretty popular models, some parts were hard to come by.
You might google "Epic 4G Touch chassis" or "body" or use the model number...
See what you come up with.
Phone might be both too new for manufacturers to be making replacement parts yet, or might be a too-low-volume model for them to care about. It's a Sprint-only body.
You can get parts off ebay. Either search for the specific part, or search for epic touch, then narrow down the search by clicking cell phones, then replacement parts. I just bought the white housing for $50.

This introductory video shows how strong this case is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPEciw3cBss
I bought this case on 11/28/2011.
Its around 4 months and look at the picture what happened to my case.
I have not even dropped it once.
I just took out the phone few time out of the case to pull the battery (hard reset)
Anyone knows if I can claim the warranty? bought it from ebay (US seller)
thanks,
Sent from my SGH-T989
i have heard of people having success going directly to tmobil stores and speaking with customer service.
sometimes customer service will replace the case on the spot. even if you paid cash and dont have a receipt, there maybe a record of your purchase in their computer (if they asked for your phone number.)

Thanks but I bought it from ebay
I'd say just go up to T-Mobile and exchange it. They wont lose any money since its a defect. I am going to return mine due to the echo it produces on my phone and the gfs too.
I was getting off the greyhound and I dropped my phone... so after I got off the bus I went directly to the T-Mobile store and they replaced the phone and I bought this phone while I there... its pretty good... at first it was kinda hard pressing the power button but it got easier.
Its a lifetime warranty
I would give it a exchange try at a T-Mobile store myself.
I have the white and black one. Its starting to crack down the back from where the charger port is. I am going to check out the tmobile store. I forgot my receipt but Ill let you know how my visit goes.
The store rep said there was only a 30 day warranty on this case i bought mine in november as well.
Thanks for checking it out, I have to go 10 miles to check that out by myself.
My question specifically was to claim warranty from the manufacturer.
Let me know if you can findout where to go claim the warranty..
Horrible Case - Caused physical damage to my phone
I bought the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 right when it came out and purchased the case shortly after - around October, 2011. It's been on almost the entire time and I recently have pulled it off and noticed that the Power/Lock button is now depressed more than it should be. This is due to the stiff power button on the case keeping it pressed in too far.
T-Mobile see's this as physical damage to the phone and it took me 2 visits to a T-Mobile store and 3 calls to Tech support before they FINALLY warranty repaired it, due to the fact that this is an exclusive case sold by T-Mobile and not a 3rd party.
Now I'm looking for a better case to use when I get the replacement. Anybody happy with other cases? I'd prefer something not super thick.
Anyway, just a heads up - I'd stop using this case.
I love my D3O. Never had any problems.

Weird!
I have a D30 case, and I take it on/off daily. I only wear it for work, then take it off throughout the day. Do this everyday and my case is still like new! (The buttons started to soften up too)
I'd say take it to T-Mobile store and talk to them about it. They always fix my problems in-stores, maybe cause I've been with them since 2000.
I live in Canada so buying from ebay or somewhere canadian would be helpful.
If you bought it from the Google Play store there's a chance you might get a replacement. There have been people who have called in saying they broke their screen and Google replaced the phone. It's YMMY, but it's worth a shot first before looking around to buy a new panel.
There are plenty of screen replacements on eBay for around $100

Not sure about the quality of those ones though. Could be knock offs or faulty. Unless someone knows a trusted seller?
I'll try contacting google but the screen replacements are for americans only.

With ebay you have to do some research. Find what you're looking for, then read the seller feedback and search for the item you're looking to buy. If people are leaving positive feedback about it, then you shouldnt have anything to worry about. I buy iPhone screen replacements all the time and havent had an issue yet.

I've purchased three N5 replacement screens which I carefully researched and went with the ones that seemed to be the best rated sellers (not just the cheapest option). I would never again go that route. IMHO but none of the screens were Corning Gorilla Glass 3. They each had issues that stock phones did not (dead pixels, attracted dust like a dust magnet, changed the touch characteristics, etc...). Last phone that I needed to replace a screen for I ended up going with Play Store and they did a free exchange of the unit.
I found a solution. LG in Canada charges a flat rate of $150 to fix the display which is much better than $200+ from local shops.
Google will send you another Nexus 5 if you bought it directly from them.
Might as well keep that $150 and put it towards a newer device (Nexus 6) .
Sent from my Nexus 5
I would just dump the Nexus 5 and save the money for the Nexus 6 or pick up the new Moto G.
