Yes for the first. You can only have 16 items in the folder.
No for the second. You can't scroll your folders.

Unpantented ideas are fair game, at the same time, it's probably to give the ui a cleaner look, nobody really knows besides Google.
I wish the folders were scrollable, it's really annoying that I can't have all my games in one folder.
Are you kidding me? I HATE this about iOS. I'm thinking of switching from my iPhone. Great to see some lame things will still be with me

Luckily, unlike the iPhone, you can just get a new launcher
GO Launcher Ex supports scrollable folders for example.

Same here. All we can do is categorize our apps

ADW Launcher EX is getting an update soon, and will have no limit folders with scrollability! Proof
Well we all know what feature needs to come in an ICS custom ROM now. No limit ICS Folders with custom icon support for folders and Apps' alike. I think everything else (besides better customisation with lock screen music control) is already being implemented.
And you can install apps like Folder Organizer to organize your apps.

I'm actually using that right now ? Coincidence lol. Yeah those apps are nice too. I like the ICS folder feel better though... If only you could fit some more apps in those damned folders (and icon changing cough cough ROM makers)

Hello all. I've been lurking on the forum for a bit over a month now while trying to learn as much as i could about android and the epic4g. It's my first android phone and first experience with android.
That being said, i have had experience with ios devices (i own an ipod touch 4g and ipad2) and jailbroken apps like folderenhancer, and prior to going to android i've exclusively owned symbian devices.
For specs, I'm currently running LauncherPro Plus as my launcher on the genocide 2.0 kernel with the Syndicate Rom Frozen v1.2 rom, rooted of course.
What i'm wondering though, is if there is some way to create folders and nest folders to better organize all of the applications i have on the epic. I've played around with Folder Organizer, and it seems okay, but it's not the most intuitive software, especially when you start nesting folders by using their labels.
I would preferably like it within the launcher, so that when i hit the application button (or whatever it is called, the button that pulls up the list of all installed apps), i could then click on my custom folders and quickly find what app i want. Having to flick and scroll through all my apps alphabetically isn't the most efficient method of organization (IMO).
Thank you!
I'm not sure about launcher pro, I used it for a few days but I like the Anarchy Launcher that came with the TrInItY rom when I was running DK28 so I've just always used that . You should, however, just be able to long press and make/ set a folder on whatever screen you are on and then open up your app drawer and find the app you want and long press on it and drop it in the folder you made. Don't know if that will help you accomplish what you wanted to do but that's what I did to group apps for easy access...

Go Launcher EX does the folder organizing you want very well. You can even create folders in the app drawer and create shortcuts to each folder on the Home screen, etc.

I agree and use GO in this manner as well. And when u open app drawer and move apps in folders, if that folder also has a shortcut to homescreen it will have the new added app as well. I had launcher pro come on my rom as well but removed it for GO instead bc I like the folder setup way better

just looking for some siiick wallpapers for this phone? also what launchers have you guys found to have the best ones? i have zeam, t.w, go, and was using adw go but couldnt really figure out how to use it.. :/
My favorite wallpapers are definitely the ones in the Galaxy Pack from Maxelus.net. It's not very expensive and it has 7 customizable wallpapers, or you can get the free galaxies from Maxelus. Those being Ice Galaxy, Inferno Galaxy, Shadow Galaxy, and Vortex Galaxy.
I still haven't been able to find a favorite launcher but I do like SPB Shell 3D. Unfortunately it costs like $15 but you can find it somewhere.

I have found the best way is you just search google. Go to google images. Pick the exact resolution for your wallpaper. It is 980x800 for the Home Screen and 480x800 for the lockscreen. And just search for whatever you want. Chances are you will find it. And it will be free.
I am 99% sure on the sizes but if someone could confirm that for me it would be great.
They got removed in the last update. I ran addons detector and it didn't show up under the push notification section.

You will find a lot of apk's saying its a cracked version, but they won't work for it. I bought it, but rarely ever use it. If it had more options to play with, then I probably would.
The concept of it is great BUT the UI design is just plain ugly. I would like to theme it myself though.
SPB Shell is cool in concept & design but for me at least, cumbersome in usability & lacking all around in user friendliness.
I use daily, but definitely lacking in options. Biggest so far is no option to increase number of rows and columns, and zero options for app drawer.

ssLauncher is definitely the most unique of the bunch. There is still one bug the developer is working on fixing and that is clock widgets are not updating. Besides that everything else had been pretty solid with it.

There in effect that flips the pages like a magazine...The main thing with ssLauncher is that it gives you the ability to pretty much put anything, anywhere on the screen. If you want something more organized with a lot of screen transition animations, the other launchers would work better for you.

Anyone came up with an app for this?
I am not a fan of launchers running on top of any ROM and I read a lot about issues with apps and playstore after using LCD Density.
I currently switched from iPhone to Galaxy S3 and while the phone is great, icons are just not adequate to the screen.
There is an app called Bigify for iOS, is there anything at least similar for Android devices?
The main 3 options I am looking for:
1. change icon size
2. change angle of the icons by xy degrees (it looks fantastic!)
3. remove icon text
Here is a SS:
This actually would be very nice as it bothers me when the apps name is cut off because it's too long.. So being able to remove the text would be great!

Apex Launcher allows you to remove the app text or modify the title/icon. You cannot rotate it though.
Op running a different launcher has no actual problems
Say your using nova as default the phone won't have stock tw launched running in the background unless you open again

I am sorry but how are these answers to my question? As far as I am reading it correct I need to have a launcher and I cannot get a any angle and no name icons at the same time

It's what you asked for. They honestly helped you as much to their abilities.
That being said if you want angled apps look into making it yourself. I know that is not much of a answer you're looking but as of right now as far as I have seen there are no apps or mods to rotate apps.

I was wondering why my S3 can't make folders? my one S & one X both could make them. I thought folder making was a main feature of ICS?
It can. Hit the menu button while you're in the home screen. Stupid Samsung for ruining an elegant solution.
You can under app drawer hit menu > edit > drag the apps you want to the folder on bottom left screen. This is for stock touchwiz.
