I'm using preludedrews latest Ics rom (p3) and youtube is not on the gapps I flashed nor on the market. Anyone else have this issue? How can I get youtube back?
I'm running ics on my evo as well. No problems, but if you don't wipe your data, cache and dalvik before installing your gapps you will be missing important parts of your install like youtube.

I see. I flashed calkulins format all before flashing the actual rom. But i always forget to flash gapps so after it booted i just went back and flashed it without wiping anything. So thanks ill try that
I think youtube does not work because it needs adobe flash and adobe flash does not support ics yet but it will soon.
Here's a good version of gapps includes latest everything

I'm running the 9/27 CM nightly but I don't want to have to wipe data and cache if I don't have to. I want to upgrade my current nightly Rom but I don't want to have to set up the phone again. Do I have to wipe to upgrade my nightly? Or is it safe to flash the new one over mine. I don't think it would really make a difference cause they are both cyanogenmod. Thanks!

I would recommend a full wipe before installing the Rom. Otherwise some things might not work properly. I installed the Skyraider vanilla Rom without doing a full wipe, and there were a bunch of things that didn't work properly. I did a full wipe and reinstalled the same rom, and everything works perfectly.

I recently flashed cm7, works great. The only thing I'm having trouble is with the apps. I can't download the apps I had previously from the market because It says I have them installed already.
So how do I fix this/restore my apps?
thanks
Try and clear data for the market app and see if that works for you.
Erm, how exactly?
If you go into settings and then applications. Find market under all and click clear data.
Part of my problem is that I don't have the market app installed
Did you flash a Gapps package when you flashed your ROM? That will give you Market and other basic Google apps. I believe CM is packaged without an integrated Gapps loadout for legal reasons.

No I didn't flash Gapps, I just installed market via apk, cleared the data but I can't use the market cause I cannot set up a profile that its asking for.
How would I go about this Gapps package?
There was no data to clear anyways.
About to try this
wipe data+cache
flash cm7
wipe data+cache
flash gapps
If you wiped system, cache, and dalvik cache before you installed CM7, you shouldn't even need to wipe. You'll just reboot into recovery and flash the Gapps .zip just like you flashed your ROM.
As far as finding it, I'd just Google "cm7 Google apps" or "cm7 gapps", you'll find a download link for the .zip. Keep in mind that, unlike the ROM itself, the Gapps package isn't specific to one model phone.

Which cm7 version are you using?
Sent from my ADR6350 using xda premium
In that case you might want to start from scratch:
Boot into recovery -- nandroid backup -- factory reset -- wipe dalvik cache -- install cm7 -- flash gapps.
And yeah, check to make sure you're using a current stable cm7 build.

What version of CM7 did you flash?
depending on the version of cm7, i would flash one of aero's kernals
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/7717-kernel-aeroevan-vivow-kernels-for-aosp/
v8 needs to be for 7.2 otherwise, flash .7 version.
7.2 + Aero kernel .8 is an amazing combination. Do that!

This fixed it, thank you.
A thanks to everyone else also.
I have just installed cm7 onto my epic 4g. I have been trying to get the stock apps, ie gmail, market, etc.. I love the rom but I guess it didn't come with the bloat ware.. is there anyway to get them? I cannot add a gmail account either, server won't respond.

Don't the instructions mention to flash the gapps? I remember reading that when I installed it. I know there is only a google search link for gapps now. Gapps as in Google Apps.

So I'm using ROM manager and it has the gapps listed however after it finishes I get the options to "Back Up ROM, Wipe Data and Cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache". Is this the proper way to get these apps to work? If so, which option would I choose? I am kinda a noob to roms so this is a little confusing for me.

If you want to backup the ROM then fine, otherwise wipes are not even required. I don't wipe at each upgrade at all. It never hurts anything to wipe Dalvik and cache and can only help.

Ok so I had attempted to back up my ROM however it froze so I had taken the batterie out and now I cannt get into recovery mode at all, it just goes back to that frozen screen where it was attempting to back up the ROM. Any ideas how I can fix that?

Try clearing data in the market app. Use Titanium.

I believe you do flash it just like any other rom, make sure to do a nandroid. I haven't done it yet though so wait for someone more experienced to reply. Gapps is google apps, CM is not allowed to package google apps with their rom.
Yay!!!!!!!!!
Nandroid, wipe SYSTEM, Factory reset, cache, dalvik cache and flash

I accidentally deleted the download file on my phone from titanium backup now i cant go on android market plus also whenn i start up my phone i get something like a gapp error
Deleting the download folder shouldn't effect the ability to open/use the play store.
The only thing I could think of that should fix the issue, is to do a full wipe and eflash the ROM (and gapps if required for the ROM you are using).

Or try to just reflash gapps first.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I think he deleted the download apk which is an essential system component. If reflashing gapp doesn't work, I would suggest reflashing the ROM.

Reflash the rom wothout wiping, then flash gapps. It won't delete anything of yours

i have stockorama...I'm sorry I'm new to this so I would have to go into the zip and find the gapp folder then flash it???
The ROM and gapps are two separate zips. Flash the ROM first, then gapps package.

There are no gapps zip for touchwiz ROMs, the apps are already included in the ROM.
Do a full wipe and reflash the ROM.
You could just wipe cache and dalvik cache, but I would recommend just doing a full wipe and starting over to avoid further issues.

+1 didn't think about it being a two ROM. Been on aosp for so long. Lil. Yeah always nice to start fresh and clean, especially after something goes awry.

none of that worked =( luckily i had a backup of my phone before stockorama but now when n i try to readd stockorama doesnt work or if i do get it to work google play store doesnt work =(
also it just reboots into recovery each time but also during the installer it doesnt download any google apps
Touchwiz comes with the playstore and other samsung apps. You flash gapps when you are using an aosp based rom like jellybean. If reflashing the Stockoroma rom does not help my only suggestion is to download stock rom and firmware and then from there reflash the Stockorama rom. I'm pretty sure there is an easier solution to this but that is what I would try.
