Hi All,
I wondered if there was any app available to remove the PIN or password requirement from your phone while having exchange email sync'd?

in that case pin-unlock is not a requirement for your exchange server i have the option of PIN or password. I cannot select none or anything else!

[Q] override exchange pin/password policy

Has anyone come across a hack to override the exchange pin/password policy on the phone?
There is Lockpicker. However, it does not work with Froyo, unless installed before the update.

Thanks. Sadly I need it on 2.2
Do you need it for your email? I guess yes, there is a thread with a hacked email apk at nexus section.

The easiest way for me: dial *#*#7594#*#*, check the box and that's it. There is still remote administration, but the phone won't ask you for any password each time you turn the screen on

What does that do? I tried it on mine, but I have a hacked mail.aol so nothing came up.

I tried that but nothing happened. Actually, when I try to dial that as soon as I type the last * it disappears, so I can't even "call" that.

Forgot Unlock Pattern - Samsung Corby i5500

Hello
I recently bought a Samsung Corby GT-i5500.
A my friend, trying out various functions, had fun using the unlock patterns; but he, after another intricate pattern, has come to forget it!
How should I do to unlock my Corby?
Thanks!
P.S.
The corby don't require me the gmail account.

Q. What if I've forgotten my unlock pattern?
When you fail to draw the correct unlock pattern on the screen after five attempts, you will be prompted to wait for 30 seconds before you can try again. If you forgot your screen unlock pattern, tap Forgot pattern. You will be prompted to sign in using your Google Account name and password, and create a new screen unlock pattern before the Home screen displays. You may also reset your phone back to the factory default settings. Resetting the phone deletes all data, including downloaded applications, and resets the phone back to its initial state
Google is your friend mate
Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately the corby don't prompt me to log in my g-mail account..

Have you tried?
1-Removing the battery for more than 5 minutes
2-Hard Reset
3-login in to your GMail account
4-Contacted the vendor/SP www.samsung.com/mobile
5-any of the above?
I get to unlock my corby installing a new firmware.
Anyway, thank you so much man!

AW: [Q] x one secure box lost password
Ok, I'm definitely against password and password bypass requests!

Please provide a photo of the purchase documentation you got when you bought the phone.
Rebooting the phone is not that bad.....unless you also don't have the pincode or unlock pattern access..... makes me thinking the "wrong" way

Factory rest will reset password at the cost of the messages stored.
This isn't a cracking forum nor is it accepted here.

U never answered. The problem is which I've seen on a lot of forums is that there is a glitch somewhere in the HTC secure box feature.. I have text from my ex where I'm going thru a divorce that I just moved to my secure box to ensure I'm able to access them for my lawyer.. it never ask me to set a password, it just moved them.. but when I try to access them, now it ask for a password. Everyone is making and looking at this as a " password crack/hack" question, without realizing how many of ur are having the same exact issue.. doesn't sound like a hacking situation when u take all into consideration.. I really need those text back.. I can verify anything that I need to to prove that.. even if there's a website or # for HTC to call in reference to this would be helpful.. but again, it never prompted me to set up a password.. please help
i need to reset my secure box password asap

[Q] Microsoft Exchange and Knock Code

I need to have Microsoft Exchange on my phone (for work email) but that presents me with a dilemma, The system admin requires a pin or password, but does not accept the knock code as an adequate security measure. I am rooted so I just install Xposed and disable the stupid PIN requirement, but now the phone will sometimes turn on in my pocket. Are there any options in the middle? I would love to be able to re-activate knock codes on top of the Xposed keyguard disable, or at least have to swipe to unlock the screen to prevent it from excessive butt dialing.
Kind of a noob but can you post some instructions on how you bypassed the pin requirement for your work exchange? I need to do the same.

As it says in the OP
1) Install Xposed Framework - it is on on play, so Google it and sideload - you need root
2) Install one of 3-5 available keyguard disablers, my personal favorite is called... you guessed it, "Keyguard Disabler", it allows you to specify that a swipe is required after waking up, which reduces the possibility of "butt waking"
What is the safest root option for AT&T using a windows computer?
Generally for this situation it's easier to just use Touchdown or Nine, which will containerize your Exchange security within the app instead.

Mine requires the same, but seeing as the knock on option also requires a pin code as a backup, I don't understand why this won't work for you.

Exchange server policies don't recognize things like Knock Code and facial recognition and even fingerprints as a classifiable authentication method. Basically, on the Exchange side, you can "require a password," which forces password level of security on the Android generally. Enabling "allow simple password" lets you get away with using PIN code security. The protocol doesn't really know anything else exists, and neither does the Exchange server.
What should be happening is LG and Samsung and the others should be setting up their devices so that these alternatives appear as "simple password" to an Exchange server, since they're essentially equivalent. But clearly they're not doing so.

I think i understand. Exchange wont let me set up my work email without a pin code, but knock on works for me maybe because it also requires a pin code to set up.

That is not what he said. If your administrator requires a pin then knock code will not even be an option. If you can use knock code then your administrator does not require a pin.
The solution to my problem is to use the right keyguard disabler. There are at least three on the Xposed repository and they all behave differently. The best one for me is called "keyguard disabler" as it allows the option of nothing or slider as a lockscreen.

The police department I work for requires a PIN code in order for us to get work emails on our phones. If I have no security in place, I get a message saying I need to set a PIN. When I set up knock code, it also asked me for a PIN. My work email work email works on my phone, and yes, our Admin requires a PIN. Maybe I'm lucky and snuck through a crack or whatever.

Maybe this time LG implemented Knock Code properly, and made it appear as PIN security to the Exchange server? I could also see that being different between different carrier builds as well.

Can you factory reset without the Samsung account password?

I bought a phone on eBay
It came encrypted because they didn't factory reset the phone before sending it to me. I was able to get their password from them and removed all Locke from the phone. I went to reset but it needs their Samsung account password
I'm having trouble getting them to give me the password for their Samsung account now
Can I odin flash to bypass this if they don't give me the password or will it leave me frp locked like doing a recovery reset will?

I don't have the google password. Just the password that they used for they're screen lock
Worst case scenario I know I can bypass FRP by paying someone on eBay like $15... but I really don't want to have to shell out more money for the phone.

Ah I thought you had been given their Google login
We can't help with FRP bypassing, best not to even mention it or your thread will likely be closed
I would ask for a refund from them tbh, they should have reset it before selling, ebay will side with you
