I made a few modifications to the build.prop file. It adds a few more apps to the market and contains a few speed/stability tweaks. Just though I'd share:
Thanks!

I changed the device's footprint to the one that CM7 uses and added the following lines:
debug.sf.hw=1 (switches the device to hardware graphics acceleration)
windowsmgr_max_events_per_sec=150 (allows for more calls to the CPU)
debug.performance.tuning=1 (battery tweak)
I also changed the dalvik heap size to 48m instead of 64m. It allows GO Launcher to reload much quicker.

In Root Explorer, rename your /system/build.prop to build.prop.bak. Extract this zip file and copy it to /system/. Reboot.
Thanks for this! It does seem a bit speedier now. What additional apps does it allow to show up in the market?
---------- Post added at 06:06 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 AM ----------
I tried searching for some apps I am looking for (and have paid for), Navigon, Foursquare, AVG Antivirus Pro and Weather Bug Elite, but they still don't show up.

I don't think it enabled everything. I noticed a few more apps showed up in each category. I'll have to work with it a bit more once I get some time. I'm sure I can get a good footprint if I delve a bit deeper. I'll see what I can do this evening. (wife has a class tonight).
works great thanks!
question. How do you choose which device fingerprint to use? Are these device fingerprints android version specific?
Nice
Works nice even on new update. Good work!
Appears zippier. Thanks!
Does the fingerprint change mean that Amazon won't recognize it as a Kindle Fire anymore?

No problems - I installed the modded build.prop and not only is it zippier but I was able to watch an Amazon Video on Demand (after temporary unroot w/OTA Rootkeeper). Still knows it's me!

In case it is not for it, what does happen? The KF gets soft brick? If so, how do I recover in this case?

Yup.
Unfortunately it's for both m8
Anyway wifi CAN be fixed with "Wifi High Performance" widget from the market.
But mobile data cannot..
Apparently it has to do with ICS and it's very strange that only few have been complaining about it.

Did you find the power saver settings ?
1) install / run 'gesture search'
2) draw the word S E T T I N G S on screen
3) you will then see the 'power saver settings' - select this.
You can also find other hidden menus...try drawing T E S T I N G
Hope this helps.
Hi there.
I've just updated my z1c from 4.4 to 5.1.1 and everything is fine with it...
I just have few things to ask for:
1) it seems that app icons on home are bigger than in KK. Isn't it? If yes, is there a way to make them smaller, with gravity box or other mods?
2) while watching videos or photos in full screen mode on facebook, chrome and other apps, status and navigation bars don't disappear. I remember that before updating they did, but i don't remember if it was due to some function of GB or other mods. What do you think about it? Is there anything i could do to make it happen?
3) which sound mod could you advise for a volume increse with minimum quality loss?
Thank you so much, hope my english isn't too bad.

Stagefright fix, ultra stamina mode.
Probably other things, but this is what's new IMHO.
If you update, be ready to deal with less battery (but the gap isn't that huge).
Z1C is very snappy with this update, it won't die now for sure !

Wtf: Ultra Stamina Mode with less battery?!
Stragefright doesn't scare me so much because I generally don't download any MMS that I receive LOL
So, in the end, I guess I'll stay with this wonderful KK.

I meant less battery life in normal mode of course
I guess it should be at least one week with USM enabled, this could be an interesting test btw !
About Stagefright, I don't think you even need to downoad it, only to receive it !
https://youtu.be/PxQc5gOHnKs
Yep man, you're completely right!
But it's enough disabling "auto-retrieve MMS option" (that is in every reliable messaging app, like Google's Messenger) to make stragefright bug completely harmless
As regards USM... well, if it actually extends battery life to one week, maybe I have to revalue the update. Has anyone tested it? I guess there's no porting on KK because it relies on "Ultra power safe mode" introduced with LP, am I right?

Hard to say... I don't see nothing really better.
Maybe i like layouts and some aspect of lp more then in kk, but for others is exactly the opposite.
The system seems faster, but it's still hard to say because i was on the same rom since One year and now i've a total wipe. Battery life is worst, but not too much. USM is fantastic, but I use it only if i have low battery without the possibility of charging for long time, because you can use only few functions with it.
Maybe i'd do the update again if i could come back (surely with root), but without any strong reason.
Hope This helped you.

After the app can download apps it falls into a different security zone. I will purchase a code signing certificate the next days. This will fix Windows Smart Screen issues. Hopefully it will also prevent virus scanners like Bitdefender from being skeptical towards FireTuner

Hey very cool app. It makes it a lot easier to sideload anything to the devices. Thanks for your work. I have one question/improvement: Could you implement a "back" for each category, so that it would be possible to switch the categories (e.g. from Manual Tuner to Premium Tuner and vice versa)?

Is there further information on the different packages You can decide for installation?
Interesting app. Nice that it discovers your Fire TV without having to enter the IP, but sorely lacks documentation. Loads of mysterious builds/apps. No idea what most of them are, or whether they'll overwrite Kodi with some pile of add-on infested turd.
Tried to install the two emulators. Neither downloaded properly, or installed.
Bit wary of it, to be honest.

Yes it is safe. Microsoft ClickOnce deployment uses the .application file as the recommend way to publish an app. You can read more about it here http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fileextensions/f/applicationfile.htm .

- I added support links to the different Kodi Wizards and Kodi Builds.

This is Amazing
Thanks for helping me out with this I really like the simplicity.
I was led here by this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/fir...lete-kodi-setup-repos-common-add-ons-t3140269) and using the backup of the post with the help of this tool.
I was really overwhelmed thinking about it. The fact that I had to do a lot of research to get this accomplished. Now I can just focus on the content in the builds. I see its really hard to find out what exactly is optimal for the performance of the Firestick. There are so many builds.
Kodi hasn't wowed me too much on PC with the few repos I've tried. Most have to buffer issues, which is annoying. I have 100mbps connection I should be fine or maybe it's a server issue where the repo is hosted.
Anyways a big thanks to you guys.
It's a few hundred cheaper for the China model where I am and very few chances to get the L29 anyway. So what all would I be lacking? Or maybe gaining??? Or is it mostly just set up issues?
Any problems with L29? The most serious?
And the most serious for L00?
Alot of the issues can be fixed with different tweaks.
From what I know this is what still isn't working 100%.
- "ok Google" doesn't work unless you open the app
- Most accounts don't work with Google pay. I think it all depends on your bank.
- Cannot turn on Google location services.

I have both, no real big differences and both work fine. The default keyboard is different, in L00 its Huawei's Keyboard which is fine, and in L29 its Swift. The L00 has in-call recoder which is missing in L29. I can't comment on Goolge Pay since I don't use it. Updates are faster on L00. Also, L00 has more bloatware which can be uninstalled easily. You can't go wrong with either.

I had annoying bugs with Android 10. Chrome kept flickering, full screen gestures not working with 3rd party launchers, slow fp reader, the mobile data kept disconnecting (had to turn on airplane mode on and off to have internet). Now I'm back on miui 11, everything is working fine.

1 - big launcher icons
2 - if you turned apps suggestions off in the launcher, they'll be back after restarting
3 - can't dismiss/swipe away settings suggestions
4 - fingerprint only works if you have aod or wake for notifications turned on
5 - camera
These are the ones i've noticed...
Wow. The launcher icon bug still exists?
What exactly have they fixed in these last 2 rollouts?

Yeah it's really disappointing. While it's not as horrendous as the first version, it should've been a smooth experience by now.
Strangely update is stable for me i haven't faced any issues with this device since I bought it
For the size of icons, you may try changing developer option\ smallest width from stocked 360 to 390 or 395. This can shrink them somewhat.

That's right. I set mine to 411, which is the default dpi of google's pixel phones and many other flagships, and i'm loving it.

Electronic Image Stabilization?
This device has never had EIS.
I got this phone for my mother last year. This update has been so abysmal (I regret updating it after not updating it for the last two times), at times the phone even crashes while calling. Hangs at random times. Didn't really expect it from a Android One phone

A full recovery after a version upgrade is recommended, if you haven't already done so.

? It has a very good EIS for videos in stock camera app in Android 9. Doesn't work in Gcam though.
