When i start oc(no mather what way - i mean smartass, smartass 2 etc-if they are not STOCK settings)
i have a problem with wifi, 3g data and my music player.
About wifi there was a thread ( i have grey icons, and not connection) but the biggest problem is about music player- i have lags when i turn on my display, the music just creaks, and when I off display, this is happening again. the same when i wanna turn up/down music;/
I don't know what can i do...
Can someone help me?

Alright so I have been rooted for over 6 months and I've tried out all the ROMs there are. I finally decided on Deck's 1.3 for it's smoothness and lack of bloat. Here is how I have it set up:
Timat 4.1 + SBC kernel
Car-o-dopes tweaking
launcherpro
underclocked to about 850 mhz
No crazy themes or anything as I like speed over anything. BUT... I have been getting two problems lately: When I listen to music it will stop there will be some harsh static sound, then it will play again. This happens all the time, but more often when I'm multitasking. And the other problem is after I leave my phone for awhile it won't turn on! This happens if I leave it for more then an hour, or if I am watching youtube vids on it where I haven't touched the phone in awhile.
I have wiped both caches and fixed apk mismatches. Can't figure out what else to do. Any ideas??
I just flashed to Salvaged-Zen, and it now only makes the music stutter when I'm downloading large files at the same time. The wake issue is fixed however!
what app are you using to listen to music?
i ask because i use Power Amp, and i have noticed the same behavior only when i listen to certain files, i determined that the files were some how corrupted. i replaced the files with new rips off my CD and they do not do it anymore.
I haven't noticed a difference from songs gotten from iTunes or the market or ripped CDs. So I don't know if that's it. I use the stock music player
got it!
Finally figured it out. I flashed a CFS kernel (I was using a BFS). It stopped all the problems with the music. Makes totally sense because music is a background task
Ey Xda.
I read somewhere, that enabling the equalizer in google music, would stop the music from stuttering, when screen turns off.
However, i cant seem to find the EQ anywhere?
GN running 4.02

I don't know about solving any crash issues (because it doesn't crash for me) but on the now playing screen select menu -> sound effects.
Doesn't crash for me either, some of my music just stutters when screen goes off. But will see if it work now, thank you very much
Hi folks,
Just want to know if someone also have the same problem and if he has succeeded to fix it :
Not always but pretty often when I watching a video on Youtube directly on the web or with the app (WiFi or even 3G) the sound becomes really jerky and the only "solution" to fix it and watch my video in a normal way is to reboot the phone (killing the running tasks has no effect...)
At the beggining I thought it was my headphones but they do work and the MP3 player also works without any problem...
Tks

I have exactly the same issue but it happens with music player as well. Especially with beats on. For example if the phone is locked and screen is off, when i press the unlock button it always jerks music that is on the background.
Any ideas? I'm on 4.0.4
hi, i was wondering, i have a rooted phone and i think i set my cpu to low when the screen is off because the music player sometimes stutter but its fine when i turn the screen on, i was wondering if anyone else noticed this? or if just set the cpu to 100 mzh highes when screen off is fine, so then it will just go highe when im playing music while the screen is off?
thank you everyone
Hi there,
Is there any way to prevent htc m9 from going to sleep when the screen is off?
I use the phone's stock Music App to play music from a DLNA Server.
It plays for about 2 minutes then stops.
So I guess it's gone to sleep or something.
The screen is off as it's night time.
It's running android 7.0.
Are there better DLNA Players maybe that will stay playing while the screen is off maybe ?
Is there a custom rom that doesn't do this maybe ?
I got the phone specifically for its audio capabilities so this is a showstopper for me.
Tried setting HTC Service - DLNA, Music, Music Widget, HTC Sense Input to 'Not optimized' in 'Battery optimization'. Didn't make **** difference.
thanks for any ideas,
FYI for anyone interested, turns out phone wasn't the problem.
Tried a different dlna source (miniDLNA) and the app MediaHouse . Works as expected - no more pauses, timeouts, sleeps, cut off or doze when the screen turns off or not charging battery.
Also, before that amongst other things I tried rooting it and playing around with the governor and minimum speed. No effect at all.
