I play music a lot with my phone, but one thing that is bugging me is that when music is playing you can't sleep your phone without the music stopping. Is there anyway that i can get the music to keep playing when i sleep my phone
Yea I am having the same issue I mean it isnt terrible but it does waste alot of battery life over time. If there is a way to have it still play even after locking the screen that would be great!
Try this cab, its a registry tweak that continues the music audio when you press the standby button.
***soft reset after install.

i like kinoma- i purchased the full version, but they also have kinoma freeplay, that i used for a long time. it allows you to turn the screen off, but doesn't interfere with the music. it also saves the location in an audio file that it was playing at, so if it is a podcast or something that you are listening to, you don't have to scroll to find where you were when you shut it off.
You could also try Nitrogen. It has a button to shut off the screen and keep the music playing.
I just go to the Backlight settings, let the screen dim in 10seconds and "turn off screen" in 1 minute. After one minute, the screen will be off, but the music is still playing.
I used to use this application all the time on my iPhone and I've never been able to get it to work properly on my Incredible.
The issue I'm having is that the audio gets choppy and cuts in and out whenever the screen is off. If I run the application with the screen on it has no issues. Screen turns off, audio goes bad within 15 seconds. I'm streaming the audio over wifi.
I'm running CyanogenMod 6.03, wifi sleep policy is set to never sleep. Pandora streams flawlessly, whether the screen is on or off.
Anyone have a fix for this? I really wish I could use this app.

Ey Xda.
I read somewhere, that enabling the equalizer in google music, would stop the music from stuttering, when screen turns off.
However, i cant seem to find the EQ anywhere?

I don't know about solving any crash issues (because it doesn't crash for me) but on the now playing screen select menu -> sound effects.
Doesn't crash for me either, some of my music just stutters when screen goes off. But will see if it work now, thank you very much
Hi there,
Is there any way to prevent htc m9 from going to sleep when the screen is off?
I use the phone's stock Music App to play music from a DLNA Server.
It plays for about 2 minutes then stops.
So I guess it's gone to sleep or something.
The screen is off as it's night time.
It's running android 7.0.
Are there better DLNA Players maybe that will stay playing while the screen is off maybe ?
Is there a custom rom that doesn't do this maybe ?
I got the phone specifically for its audio capabilities so this is a showstopper for me.
Tried setting HTC Service - DLNA, Music, Music Widget, HTC Sense Input to 'Not optimized' in 'Battery optimization'. Didn't make **** difference.
thanks for any ideas,
FYI for anyone interested, turns out phone wasn't the problem.
Tried a different dlna source (miniDLNA) and the app MediaHouse . Works as expected - no more pauses, timeouts, sleeps, cut off or doze when the screen turns off or not charging battery.
Also, before that amongst other things I tried rooting it and playing around with the governor and minimum speed. No effect at all.
Hi does anyone know of a good always on display app that will show music playing and be able to skip songs etc without turning on the screen? Also do these sort of apps kill battery life too?the normal aod on Huawei not too bad but would like it mainly for Spotify if in car, thanks
