Hi guys, I am having a weird problem, and not specifically with the ILWT rom but I noticed this issue with pretty much all roms I used.
The issue is, that when I receieve calls from a landline (all landline numbers) I get my voice echo, although the same is never the case with mobile numbers calling me.
I have tried 3 radio versions and I noticed the issue with all of them, tried the RIL lib as well. No luck.
Has anyone had a similar issue or can anyone identify what the problem could be?
Thanks!

I'm having this problem, nobody is able to listen to me when they call me, but I can hear them loud and clear.
At first I thought it was a hardware related thing, but when I make skype calls, everything is alright and I'm able to record voice or music, so the hardware microphone is actually fine.
So I think is a software related think, but I'm unsure wheather is a ROM related thing or are some other programs I installed.
Regarding ROMs, I used Tai's v21 edition but I changed back to the old reliable Josh v15 ROM which I was using before with no problems, but now I have this problem too.
So I narrowed the problem down to installed software, and my best bets are skype itself and Audioroute.
I wonder if you are able to make any mobile test call here in London (I'm using 3uk network) so I won't spend all my mobile call minutes testing whether the phone is working or not again?
Thanks in advance
Have you tried the stock rom? Or are you loading a different dialer?
I haven't seen that issue.
Using Oxygen ROM 1.0.4 right now with latest radio 32.56, but had the same problem with previous radio and 2.03 versions (and the ROM versions before as well).
Some calls (seemingly only from other mobile phones) don't get through to me. My provider sends an SMS for missed calls, which is awkward, because the SMS tells me, that just a minute ago someone tried calling me. Even when the phone is still in the exact same position on my desk.
Anybody else noticing this issue? Any suggestions? Can this even be related to the radio or is it the ROM? Or even the provider?
As a next step I'm gonna try another radio and/or ROM, but really like Oxygen...
Thanks a lot...
I have/had a similar issue. callers sometimes go straight to voicemail, but also making calls could be 2 or 3 attempts before a successful connection. Currently set the phone to gsm/2g and the situation appears to have greatly improved

Thank you, at least I am not alone. Are you also using Oxygen ROM or a different one?
Which radio are you using?
I am having some radio issues and wondered if anyone has had similar issues. I had updated from the 4.0.3 radios to 4.0.4 and everything was working fine with data but every single call I made would drop out where I could hear them but they could no longer hear me. This happened no matter who I was calling and no matter where I was calling from. I then reverted back to 4.0.3 and the same thing was happening which did not happen before I upgraded to 4.0.4. I also tried updating my prl on both radios which did not help. If anybody could provide some insight it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I've heard of this issue, and it is still a known issue that needs to be addressed yet in an update. You're best bet would be to call/stop into Verizon and explain this to them, I'm sure they are plenty aware of it. I would hope they'd replace your phone, but there is still a possibility it could happen to the new unit. I have not seen any fix anywhere for this issue.
Hey All,
So, I'm having a weird issue with my T-989. I get intermittent audio loss upon making and receiving calls. Refer to the following examples:
Call comes in; I swipe to answer..."Hello...Hello...Hello....-__-" I can not hear the person on the other end of the call and they are un able to hear me. I've asked countless people that call me on a daily basis on their experience when this happens. They say the call connects but no audio; they then get confused and hang up if I don't end the call my self. Normally I'm the one that ends the call now and I'll call back....sometimes I hear ringing and I know that it'll work ok.
Sometimes, the call log counter starts....but I hear no ringing, HOWEVER the person I'm calling is actually being called and tries to answer the phone...but because I don't hear the ringing...I don't even realize that the phone has established a connection.
Sometimes....everything works fine. I'll answer the phone and it'll work like a charm or I'll make a call and it'll work like a charm. Two hours later...same weird issue.
I wanted to know if people had similar problems.
It's getting increasingly annoying at this point. At first I thought maybe it was my service. Then I thought it was my ROM / Radio. Honestly, I know people who have the same service and plan as me.
Phone is running P.A.C 22.0.1
This issue happened on older versions of which I completed wiped and re installed newer versions of P.A.C; it happened on AOKP; happened on Paranoid Android.....
I'm guessing the only thing I haven't tried changing is the Radio that comes with each ROM.
I am on the T-Mobile Pre Paid Unlimited Talk / Text w/ 500mb Data plan. [I work in data centers, unlimited INTERWEBS!]
Anyone else have similar symptoms? I'll be getting the S4 soon, but I wanted to resolve this issue before hand because I'll be giving it to a friend.
Thanks in advance for any help! :victory::highfive:
I have been living that same issue for months, between several ROMs and kernels and radios. Ive learned to use this process......answer call, wait 3 seconds, then saying "hello". I know, its silly.
I have noticed its seems worse when answering calls from others running aosp (cm10)roms.
I've have not tried any touchwiz ROMs

Waiting 3 seconds and then saying hello works? For me the issue happens when placing calls as well. I installed the newest P.A.C last night when I posted the OP, so far no problems. I'll update again if I have any issues moving forward.
What radio are you using?
Now - UVMC6
As I said, as of yet, I haven't had any issues. Let's see over the next couple of days....
Hi, for some reason I randomly get duplicate texts from various people on my contact list. I searched it up and saw something called GetRIL to check if your RIL/baseband do not match, but however, this app doesnt work for note 3. I'm using T-Mobile of course. Any suggestions, or anyone else facing this problem?
I'm on the Hyperdrive 3.1 ROM, but when I was on this ROM before I do not recall having this issue.
i get this problem all the time too
i noticed it was with certain kernel its happens for me at least.
i think it might just be the cell towers having issues
