So I've been using these sense 3.5 roms and I've noticed battery life just isn't very good. Even on my 3500 mah battery I get like 10 hours. I'm looking at others but I would like to know of one that has great battery life, yet looks delicious (like MIUI but I'm not sure if that's the best one!)
Thanks in advance! God bless!

Every rom works differently on every phone, due to small hardware differences. Your best bet is to try out each rom for a few days and see for yourself

I just want to know which deals with battery life better. Im on cm7.0.3.1 and even with an extended 3500mah battery I get like 1 full day on moderate use. Is their a significant different in battery life between them?
I can easily get a day+ on the stock battery on CM7...MIUI apparently has "great" battery life, but from what I hear, you'd average the same amount of battery life with your usage type.
Alright. Thanks.

No problem, but always feel free to try it; you may break even or get slightly better.
Me using stock kernel on cm 7 with stock heavy use get about 9 hours of use extended get about 13 hrs . Plus I like cm7 its more American lol miui is fun and has nice features wish cm7 would put some of the things from it in there stuff. Also cm7 doesn't connect to Chinese servers to use apps lol .
Love firewall in miui and call blocker and the lock screen . Hoping for cm7 to get better camera and video like the stock sense roms and one stable permanent build so folks can theme the yell outta it great battery life YouTube comes in ultra clear on hq.
I wanted to like MIUI but it was lagzilla. Especially the settings menus.

With WildStang83 Desire Inc HD ROM I go from 440am to 5pm with a single charge and still have like 20-30% left.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253492
And aosp I can't really tell because I don't use aosp (I'm a Sense lover maniac) the only one I used was cyanmod7 nightlies like for a week and the battery life was ok. I had to charge atleast 30-50 minutes during my break time.

Sense ROMs take up more battery life because their is more going on, but I don't think its that drastic compared to AOSP. I use Nils 2.3/3.0 gingersense and I can normally go till next morning or miday after a charge.
The only AOSP rom I've run was MIUI and I would constantly get 24+hrs and sometimes over a day (1800mah battery).
There's still a lot of tweaks to come on the Sense ROMs so don't expect too much from them at this point in time. Once the GB kernel source is released and we get some custom kernels then the battery life of Sense roms may increase.
MIUI with Chad's Incredikernel will give you ridiculous battery life. I would get over 24 on one charge. That's what I used during Hurricane Irene when the power went out lol

I use Jermaine's In-Sensitive Minimalist. It's kind of a mix between sense and AOSP. Alot of the sense has been removed, but it still kind of has that feel. Love it...very responsive and stable. By the time I get home from work, around 7pm, I still have like 70% battery remaining.

+1. I use either MIUI or one of many AOSP ROMs then I flash Chad's incredikernel. When I undervolt the kernel I can almost go two days without needing a charge.
The best battery life I've gotten is with the most recent stable Cyanogenmod 7.
For some reason my battery life is *noticeably* better on MIUI than with CM7. Seems strange but the difference is there.
of the few
of the few I've tried (gingersense, cm7, and uber), I found NilsP's Business Gingersense to get me the best battery life. Day and a half on one charge, mobile network on 80% of that time...
any one on energy can tell me hows the battery time using this rom just love 3.5 roms
Hey,
The sense 3.5s deffinatly have a lot in them which make them a lot of fun and appealing to many, their downfall is the battery drains thats why I have been sticking with stock and it will last me though the day! but for the true 3.5 lover energy knows what they are doing. I personally havent used it myself but I have heard many things and it being one of the better battery consuming roms. So just nandroid and flash away if you dont like it just restore! Mik-G also makes some amazing roms and if you didnt look into them you just might want to!
I hope I helped if I did please hit the thanks button!
Stevo
Thanks for the reply will take a shoot at mikg Rom see how it acts up with my phone.

i use the Energy rom with the anthrax kernel and my battery life is way better than stock. with moderate use I can get 14-15 hours and still have 35-45% left. I hear that the freedom 0.9 kernel is awesome with this rom. Some of the guys are getting 30+ hours with this rom, freedom kernel and 3500Mah battery. i use a 1750Mah battery and have a 1500Mah powerskin charging case jsut in case i get into some heavy use. the downfall with this phone is the screen size and it will always be your largest battery consumer. I forgot to mention that my results are at work where my signal is for **** and about 75% of my time is spent roaming or looking for a better signal.
Will try energy with anthrax see how my evo responds thanks.

It would be nice to have a list of how long batteries last on different rom types for different people. The premise is easy enough, but I would like to mention that I don't want to know, "What ROM is Best". Simply thought it would be nice to know what rom types have better battery life since that is the largest factor in flashing a rom (for me at least).
So, I have flashed multiple roms and have found that AOKP and AOSP have horrible battery lives on GB, but seem to last much longer on ICS and JB.
On the other hand, I see that Sense has great battery lives, but only as far as Sense 1.0.
I would also like to know why it is this way? What is it about GB, ICS, JB, AOSP, AOKP, and Sense that determines battery life.
If everyone that posts would mention what rom TYPE (eg., ICS, AOSP, AOKP, etc.) you are using, your battery life, any tweaks or mods you're using, and if you have an extended battery or not.
Hopefully this brings some clarity as to why our phones act the way they do, and how to improve battery life.
Thanks everyone.

Well.. it depends on the phone too ya know. Like guy 1 might have great batt life on gb soap and guy 2 may not.
But personally, I have great batt life with legendary 1.2. I can go about 15-18 hours with light to moderate usage
Heres a thread I started about batt life.

I'm experiencing very bad battery life on non sammy roms. With sammy roms battety lasts twice as long. I have tried different kernels, some give a little battery boost, but still not comparable to sammy based roms. Is this normal?
Sure. stock TW samsung roms have the best battery life. that's normal don't worry about it.
hope i helped

It really comes down to your apps, Id say i get better battery life on TW roms like you, but i may see 5% more life not twice. I would download an app like better battery stats, or even just check the base battery stats, see whats using all that battery.
My CM roms use a lot of energy on the "android OS" If you are seeing something else using all your energy, You may need to uninstall that app. It may be conflicting with that rom, but not with TW.
