Hi,
I have an HTC Blueangel that my brother set a PIN lock to, now he cant remember it. I had previously reflshed it to WinMobile 6.0. I have tried reflashing but the user area must be seperate or something but that did not clear it, and the PIN prompt is always there.Any idea any one?
Thanks in advance.
dude, if u r referring to the PIN Code Lock problem, then seek help from your network service provider. Coz the PIN Code is only applied to your sim card. No fault in the handset
just contact your network provider to retrieve it back
Hi,
I use the HTC Desire with a dual Sim Adapter. It functions from the principle, only Android has a protection that password is asked for the Googlemail, as soon as one changes Sim at what I absolutely look as sensible. in my case, however, as absolutely useless must describe. Because I after every change Sim play cards after my password is asked. Can this protective function be switched off anyhow?
Hi All,
I have bought an unlocked HTC about 3 years ago, and basically, this works with any SIM. I have used it all over Europe, with no problems. However I am having trouble using it here in the UK.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
How about some more information, eg what sim, what troubles, etc.

The SIM is Vodafone, and I cannot connect to the network, ie no calls or sms. I tried the SIM in another phone and it works. So it is the HTC that is giving problems. And I am sure that the HTC is unlocked, since I have tried other SIM cards when in Europe and all of them worked.
I have another SIM from Vodafone from another country in Europe, and it does not work either inside the HTC.
Possible cure?
If you don't have a SIM PIN, try setting one. If you already have one, skip that step. Then, try changing your screen security, for example from Slider to a PIN and then back to Slider.
I put a known good SIM in my phone in the UK and had no wireless connectivity until I forced the phone to ask me for my SIM pin while it was running (i.e., not on boot - rebooting didn't help). For some reason, changing the screen security triggered a request to enter the SIM pin, and then suddenly wireless was back.
I can't repeat the cause of the lost connectivity, but I have repeated this cure on subesquent occasions when I've lost wireless.
Take your HTC to Vodafone. There might be some settings missing.

I tried doing what you said but it never asked me for a SIM PIN. I tried to change the SIM PIN but there is already one and I do not remember it

Hope you've got your PUK code handy. You're going to need it next time you have to turn your phone on!

Actually I did not need it!
And an update, I took the phone to the store and they fixed the problem. They guy at the counter entered something on the phone and it started working. Guess I had some missing setting.

Good news. But you're still gonna need that PUK code one day if there's a SIM pin and you don't know it!

I will only worry when that happens
My phone (HTC Desire 601) has got locked because a kid in the family entered the incorrect screen unlock pattern multiple times. My screen is now asking for the username (google account) and password. But mobile data and wifi were turned off on my phone when this incident happened.
Also USB debugging is OFF and my phone is Not rooted.
Can anyone please help me fix this situation - I really want to save the data (photos, videos, contacts, messages) on my phone.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Hey guys, I have a serious problem logging into my Pixel 6 pro. I basically locked myself out of it, as it seems.
I just wanted to add a pin code to my e-sim and went to the security settings to do so.
My phone asked for th PUK number which entered from the information card I received from my provider. Then it asked me to enter and confirm my new pincode. As soon as I did so, it said wrong PUK number. If you want you can deactive your esim to use the phone without mobile connection which I don't want, obviously.
Does anyone have an explanation for that? As I told you the puk is definitely correct.
The only reason I can think of why the PUK is incorrect is that the phone activated my old esim (something I asked my provider to do shortly before it happened).
Long story short I cannot log in anymore, Hard reset did not help me and I am about to send in the phone to the google support.
Is there a way around the puk pin request? My phone is not rooted and unfortunately debugging is also not active yet.
I am really clueless and hope that you can help me!
Best reagrds from Germany!
Jan
