Na it does, just click on the clock and go all the way to the bottom and enable the automatic update.

Did anyone take the software update out of the box? I am a bit leery to, not sure what version it is and what it fixes...

The day after I bought the phone, I saw it reboot out of the corner of my eye and noticed it was updating. I have never found info on what the update was for, but I rarely see an update automatically apply without user interaction unless it's some kind of emergency update (like to fix reception or something). It definitely applied the update without my authorization. I didn't even see a prompt.

MIne auto-updated as well without my knowledge...I left the phone turned on in my bag without a SIM but connected to WiFi...Oops...

I did not receive an update in the US on At&t either. I did manual check and it noted I was up to date.
I also agree it is quiet in here. I think this phone should be getting a lot more interest than what it is. There is a lot of potential here.

Probably a radio update.. or camera.. I got it, right out of the box too.. didn't even get to see what I had prior... but.. it's working like a charm so far.

Same here and Google play store shows device uncertified.
Same here. I downloaded Safetynet check and it says CTS Profile mismatch. Can't use Android pay to charge my car. It was after the update earlier today that's supposed to fix the red tint issue some people were having. I should have held off if I knew it would break android pay.

It also shows a mismatch for me too.
I ended up having to exchange my phone this morning. Now it works fine.

Tried to call TM to report and got caught in holding hell. They'll fix it eventually.

Well I'm not having the root issue. But this is the third time I had to re-add my card. It's getting really upsetting.

I have never updated my phone. I diabaled the update process so I could keep Bixby remapping and possible future root exploits. But no everything is fine minus the constant having to re-add my cards.

I think my screen looks worse now and it was fine before lol
Everyone!!!! It's not an issue with the software from samsung... If you download the latest Google play services 11.0.33 the device will pass safetynet check, store will show certified and Android pay will work as expected!!! I did this and it worked for me on my S8+.
Just an update on the situation, I have reached out to T-Mobile via Twitter Support and they have informed me that they are aware of the issue and will fix in the next update. (Hoping soon)

Every update goes out in waves it's not usually region specific
OTA takes time to reach everyone you should have it shorty if not try a VPN

On OP3 if you don't get the OTA straight away can use a VPN app to get the update thought it might work here too

im trying to use wifi tether router on my newly rooting moto g6 play but when i press enable it says wait forever whats wrong with it?
Try changing the interface to wlan1. That's what I had to do on my non-play edition.

ok new problem i tried testing it it goes thru now but other phones cant detect it for some reason it doesnt show up on other wifi devices

Tick the box that keeps WiFi active instead of disabling. See if that works. It's a common fix for the problem you described.

That's all I know to do. At this point my suggestion is to email the developer. I've read he's responsive and very good at getting you up and running with the app.
