Having a problem with QXDM - help please! - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI,
Is anyone else having a problem accessing QXDM? I have had it on my computer for a few months now, used it numerous times, and have never had any problems what so ever until yesterday. Now anytime I try to open QXDM I get an error that says "Error Initializing DAIG server". Did my copy of the program get corrupted or something? I can not figure this out for anything so I figured I would enlist the help of people smarter than I am.
If anyone reads this and you have QXDM on your computer could you please try and access it and let me know your results? I am trying to narrow things down and figure out if this is a problem on my end (I cant access it on my laptop or desktop) or if maybe there is something wrong with QXDM right now and it is just down. I have tried downloading other versions (everything except 2.08 or whatever it is and I am going to try that but it probably wont work either) and they all give me a message when installing saying "Warning: License not generated. Then if I try to start QXDM I get the same error again.
For the record, QPST works just fine, I thought that may have had something to do with it but I do not think so now.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and I DO know how to use the thank you button! Thank you in advance also.
*EDIT* Thanks to the awesome members on here I fixed it!

im having the same problem could you help me?

[Question] 260 error when updating ROM

Okay, I've searched alot to get this thing solved. When I try to update my rom, the update starts normally, but then my telephone screen turns black, my gets disconnected, windows tells me it has found new hardware. The update failes and returns error 260 (connection lost). When I soft-reset the telephone afterwards, it returns to it's old shape.
Info about my telephone.
Rom: 1.93.404.1 NLD
Radio: 1.0025.05
PC: Windows XP SP 3, Active Sync 4.5
I tried to update with this rom: RUU_Diamond_HTC_NLD_2.03.404.3_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe
I also tried to update to Hard-SPL but that gave me the same error.
PLease guys does anyone of you know how to fix this? (personally I think it's windows xp which is screwing up).
Thanks in advance, I appreciate all help.
Yours, Martijn.
Even the tiniest tip may help (A)
I had the same trouble with that rom, I tried from internal memory and it worked. Search the wiki I am sure the info is there.
"ERROR [260] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs when there is an "open port error" before upgrading the CE ROM image. Solution: You can reset the device and run RUU again. If you still encounter an "OPEN PORT ERROR" again, reset your computer and try again."
This is what the WIKI tells me. But I have tried that. How did you manage to perform the update on the internal storage? Because I tried that with hard-spl but it wouldn't work.
Besides I only have .exe files for the Hard-Spl and the official rom from HTC.
Thanks for your reply though.
EDIT PART, just read this on another thread in the wiki:
ERROR 260 (Update Error):
"Your phone is not connected to ActiveSync. Check your connection or restart the phone. Also make sure in ActiveSync that "Allow USB connections" is checked (under File->Connection Settings). If this still doesn't help, then remove the memory card and SIM card before flashing."
I'm going to try this now, if it worked, I'll let you know
Just found out I have a CDMA version or something, I'll try google for the problem now.
Get the rom image from your temp directory and look here, found in the wiki

Does the hardware install incorrectly? My laptop did this on XP.
XP would find the new hardware, my bootloader would say USB. Then it'd tell me new hardware could not be installed properly and from there my phone suffered those symptoms - Back to where I was. Funnily enough it eventually fixed itself.

It looks alot like your problem yes. But last time the hardware installed correctly, then the patch I found for CDMA models on ppcgeeks failed, and my telephone got bricked. So I'll need to get that fixed first. After that I'll sure think twice before I try another rom update :/
Thanks for all the help though, and I have to advice everyone to not use the hard-spl for cmda users from ppcgeeks unless you're 100% sure it fits your model!

I have the exact same problems. I suspect the BTTrayCE error is from installing a version of tomtom that doesnt work on this phone (which i did do).
Any help regarding the bluetooth would be appreciated as mine behaves the same as described above (it basically only gives the option of connecting to bluetooth headphones...)
You will have to do a hard reset. You'll lose all your installed programs and settings.
If you remove the bluetooth drivers from the TomTom CAB you'll be able to install it without messing up the bluetooth (google to find a program to do this).

I got it sorted, did as was said on page 7. You must use total commander.
solution to tt7 bluetooth mess up
no need to hard reset. just rename and delete the following files and soft reset your device. woked for me.
\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll
ive got the same problem, but i cant find the files. its in device\windows right?? where else might the files be?
Rename the files and replace them with the ones mentioned above. It fixed my problem.

I'm using Total Commander. When I try to rename the file, the file name remains as the original. When I try to delete the file, the screen tells me that it cannot delete the file. I have not installed Tom Tom or anything else. Help?

Cant flash rhodium

As the topic says i cant flash rhodium hardlockerspl unlocker.( and my eyes are bleeding from reading) I turned off all virus protection, firewalls. I unpacked the rhodium hardspl v200r2185hspl. When i run the program it starts then says fatal error. It says my phone is not synced. I know it is because I'm looking at the active sync screen and it says connected. Ive gotten all the other stuff working i wanted, now i just want a better radio. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I really appreciate the help and maybe one day i can help others. By the way its a att tilt 2.
If you have a Tilt2 and you haven't already enabled RAPI, run this cab file, restart for good measure, and try connecting your device again.

Need to access "efs" but qpst won't detect phone

I tried to ask about this in another thread but I'm going to try to be more clear on this one. I loaded my OG drivers in and put the phone in Debugging Mode and in Diag. Mode. Device manager detects 2 ports, one is for diagnostics. I then run QPST and it detects the connection but with a "?" in front of the phone description then when I open tab for connected phones its empty. I still try to open EFS and its a blank. Are there separate Diagnostics Drivers for this phone like HTC's and other phones or is the software blocking it from being read?

Crap, my bad. I only posted one here because I had a similar one in Q&A but no response so I figured that "developers" would have the tech savvy to solve my issue better. I tried to edit the title on my other thread but couldn't figure out how. Please remove this thread then and tell me how to change the title of my other one.
Or, someone please PM me with a solution.....Thanks :]
Unlock efs directories/files
Ok, I installed the latest version of QPST and now I am in the EFS of my LG OG but I can't seem to be able to figure out how to unlock the directories/files in order to edit them ( similar to using the "open sesame door" method on an HTC ). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, feel free to PM me or Email me at "[email protected]". Thanks.

[Q] How to unlock without data or usb debugging on?

Hey guys,
First off, I don't have any idea where to post this as the phone I'm working with isn't on the forums, so I thought it would be more appropriate here. Please move it into the correct place if there is one. Thank you.
So I'm a new comer of course and I was browsing the internet for solutions to my friends phone issue and I came across this forum. From what I can tell this is a really intellectual environment and therefore was inclined to make an account to see if anyone can help me out with my issue.
The problem(s):
Currently my friend's HTC Wildfire S (T-Mobile) is locked out.
He had tried too many times to unlock it via the pattern and now has to enter in his google email credentials to unlock his phone.
Right now the wifi or data is not on for the phone
Failed solution 1: I tried to call him and have him answer the phone. I then tried to pull the notification tab down in order to enable data or something but that didn't work. I had read on another website that it could work.
Failed solution 2: I downloaded ADB and tried to access the settings.db file in order to edit it via an add on on mozilla firefox. After going to the path where ADB was located i typed in "dir", where settings.db usually is it wasn't there. I then concluded that he probably didn't have USB debugging enabled as that is a strange setting to turn on for no reason.
And now here I am...
He doesn't want a factory reset because he wants his texts, I can only guess that he has important nudes he wishes to save, haha.
Anyway, I'm not too educated in computer or coding language, so if you have any ideas please provide me with some extra details for my noobie status.
As a result of this tinkering, I'm kind of interested in learning how to code and messing around with my Samsung Galaxy S2, so if you also have any pointers for that I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks for your help in advance,
I look forward to engaging in the community and trying to contribute
