Hi guys,
I wonder if anybody can shed some light on a problem I seem to be having with my HTC Desire, which recently replaced my IPhone.
I am trying to sync my ITunes library to my HTC desire. The library, with all the playlists, is approximately 7GB in total.
I purchased a Sandisk 16GB Micro SD Card (not the EBay type) and attempted to sync my music with missing sync for Android. There are approximately 900 songs in the library but only 400 or so sync. Here's the strange part. Although 400 songs sync, not all are playable by MixZing or TuneWiki on the handset. So I looked through the SD Card on Mac and Windows and all 400 songs appear to be there, with the correct extension and all, but they won't play on ITunes on the Mac. When I try to play the songs on Windows Media Player I get a message saying the file type does not match the format, or something along those lines.
I thought it might be Missing Sync for Android with the problem so I tried DoubleTwist and I got the same error. DoubleTwist synced about as many songs and folders from my ITunes library. Strangely however, some of the folders on the SD Card when viewed on Windows Explorer or the Finder are empty. There are shed loads of folders but no songs inside them.
I thought it might be the SD Card so I returned it and bought a 32GB Kingston SD Card. Again, the same problem.
I'm running Android 2.2 on the HTC Desire unrooted.
Strangely, the capacity on the SD Cards seems to be reduced by about 4GB so the songs may be there but are corrupted in the transfer process - I guess.
Anyone have any ideas it would be much appreciated as this is really disappointing.
Thanks
No on ehave any idea I take it?
Hi, you can check out SyncMate - it can sync your Android devices and Mac (Contacts and Calendar are syned for free, iTunes, iPhoto, folders and backup option are available in Expert Edition).
If you want to sync iTunes, just connect your Android phone in a flash drive mode to your Mac and sync it as if it is a common USB drive. So, once your device is connected - you can sync musiŃ from Mac to Android and vice versa. If there is enough space in your Android device and tracks are all in the same format - they will be synced. Details about Android sync you will find here http://mac.eltima.com/sync_mac_android.html
i just recently installed the htc sync 3 for the desire but for some reason it can't detect my itunes playlist but it can detect my wmp playlist.
is there anything that i can do that helps me find my itunes playlist?
thanks
i'll have to bump this one! same problem here...
Hi ,
I have got a Android Phone recently but I really don't know which Android Phone PC Sync Tool is great for using. I urgenty require it to manage my photos, videos, music, contacts, messages, applications and calendar ... and so on. Is there anyone can recommend me a great Android software to manage my data. Thanks a lot.
IMHO you dont need one.. you connect the phone to the computer...select disk drive..browse your sdcard and move things over...If you dont want to do that...then HTC sync

DoubleTwist is a great app for syncing music and videos
DoubleTwist seems don't provide Outlook sync,
so I choose Android Manager WiFi to sync Contacts,Calendar and Multimedia files.
I want to buy an album from iTunes and use it on both my iPod and my Windows Phone 7. I want to know whether I would be able to put the music from iTunes onto my Windows Phone
You didn't write which iTunes: Windows or Mac. For the Mac, yes you can download music from your iTunes library to your Windows Phone if you use the Microsoft Windows Phone Connector.
For Windows, then I am sure you will need to bring your iTunes library (in this case just he album) over to Zune to get it into the Windows Phone.
I imported my whole iTunes library over to Zune, I think for the most part everything came over and I'm able to sync just fine what I want.
Although, now I have a Zune pass, so I don't even use iTunes anymore
I have question why not use amazon? Cheaper and song quality is great as well. I have some albums from itunes and haven't any problem to play it. You forget are these songs DRM free? There is no sense witch itunes do you use, Mac or Win. For Mac to sync media with WP7 - Windows Phone Connector. For Windows as you know Zune. Song must be DRM Free.
What is the best music sync solution that will sync ratings and playlists from Note 3 to Windows PC?
I use Player Pro and in the past I used a windows sync application Allway Sync. Now I cannot because USB Storage mode is broken on the Note 3. I do not want to use iTunes. Allway Sync needs a drive letter from the Note 3 to work.
Thanks in advance!
