New Market App (Vending.apk)

He posted below the apk of the new Android Market. Just download and install it with any file manager!

What's new:
- A "carousel" user interface that allows users to flip through featured apps.
- New categories for widgets and live wallpapers, as well as more unnamed categories "in the weeks ahead."
- A unified app details page that eliminates the need to interact with tabs.
- Content ratings for applications
- A reduced refund window of only fifteen minutes.

It works on the sgs, tested it. Rename the file to Vending.apk and push it to the /system/app folder.

yea its being rolled out to devices over the next few weeks, i guess this is only for people like myself that dont want to wait a few weeks to get it

Dont like the new market. The green **** (yes.) takes half of the screen space on a 800x480 device that's just dumb. Prolly pushed by publishers in the "featured" who pay money to get there or something.
Descriptions are halved because this green stuff takes all the space. comments, same. List, same.

All since I upgraded from my Xperia X10 to Xperia PLAY, there's one thing I've been really missing.

Having all my necessary toggles available right in the notification bar. No menu work, no power-draining widgets, just sheer convenience. Is there any way to do that without CM7 or any other rooted ROM? I do know about this:

But, on my phone, it only brings up menu work instead of just immediately activating the function.

Yes there is a way check out the arc themes and app section its in there buddy made it for multiple firmwares and it looks really good too!

I use this app but not the all-in-one part of it - so have each toggle listed as separate line - they work straight away without going into any menus. Hope it helps

This successfully murdered my notification bar.
Stupid me didn't backup the systemui file either >_<
Oh well, restore backup here I go

i just installed the rover mix it looks great

But keep in mind gps has to be turned on from the menu (Android limitation )

If you're going to report a problem, in this case apps not working, you need to provide details. Simply stating "X doesn't work" is pointless because the developer has no idea what he/she needs to fix.
If/when you do report details of this problem, include:
(1) a list of the apps that you're having trouble with;
(2) specific error messages - e.g. FCs;
(3) details of what you're doing or what the phone's doing when the errors occur.

Some apps from play store i can't download anymore (error 492) : delijn, spot bnp paribas fortis, ...

Play Store Error -101
I'm getting 'Can't download because of an error. (-101)' in the play store. Tried different G-apps packages, but nothing works.
is there a way to fix it?

I'm on latest omega, 24 I think it is.
my poweramp has a really weird issue, my 'Song's list option is hiding under the 'Folders/Library' banner at the top. its only when I put it into landscape mode that I can even see a little bit of the bottom of Songs. check out the pic

the second issue I'm having is when I longpress the call button on stock samsung headphones it doesn't skip tracks anymore, I have to use the 'use double/triple press instead of long press' advanced menu option, I'd prefer to use long press.
I had this issue on omega 23.3 as well. can anyone else tell me if this is a common problem?

Yea i have the same issue with the menu. Untick settings>look and feel>menus>bottom action bar and it should go back to normal.
Dont know about your second issue sorry.

Same problem here, I just unticked "Action Bar" in Look and Feel > Menus as a quick workaround.

Thanks guys, you should see the responses poweramp support team gave me.. felt like I was talking to a bunch of monkeys.. lol
saying things like 'try scrolling down derp derp'
after I sent them pictures and then a side by side comparison of how it works on one phone vs mine.. then they said 'clear my cache'... lmao
should have went to xda first. I think I might just install a working version of poweramp from before they messed it up. anyone know the last fully functional version?

Hi, I think you're using Omega v34 (latest build) and I've been using poweramp since I was still using SGS 2. Long press to skip track is no longer working in JB 4.1.1 and up because by default it's suppose to bring up Google Now. In other ROM without Google Now implemented it should work just fine. About the issue on lanscape/horizontal mode, I don't have it. I'm using poweramp build 2.05 488.
Edit: Like those fellow xda members said, removing the action bar should fix your problem with landscape mode

Not work

Even I'm getting a horrible bluish purple tint in JB Camera AFTER the picture is clicked.

If I were to give an excuse, I'd say it has a built-in Instragram.

Camera bug belong to kernel, not normal apk. I've tried serveral camera app, same issue.

Found a tips to solve purple picture when shooting using flash .....
The tips is try to tap at right up corner from camera and change it to normal mode, and press menu button and then disabling white balance from auto to another .....
It solve my problem ......

Maybe it cause from auto white balace, when we shoot with flash, it automatically change to incandescent white balance mode .....
