Having moved from an htc desire all my contacts have htc notes assigned. Anyone got a clever way of removing these in batch/bulk ?

I am looking for a way,how to have separate favorite people on 2 phones synced with 1 laptop.
HTC is adding a category "HTC Favorite" into the Outlook contact,which syncs with both phones,but I want to have different people in another phone.
HTC Hero I am using as a corporate phone,so my colleagues are important,HTC TouchPro is my private,so I want to have that with my friends.
Is that possible?

Have just passed to a Desires S from a HTC HD2.
On the HD2 it was possibe to find contacts by alphabetic order on the right side of the ontact list on the Desire I dont find this function
HD2 is Windows Mobile. Desire S is Android. Plus, you posted it in the wrong forums.
