i've installed this new er3bus xl and thats awsome. but it has a problem. i cant get my location through internet in apps like weathers and maps. in the thread some guy was talking about fixing rill bu not clearly. i'd be glad if some one could help me.
my location is in asia, middle east! tnx

Never used this ROM, and not sure why you can't get your location in maps.
But if you want a customized location for weather, give this a try.

you can get your location from you cell information (your TelCo must support it), wifi/IP address and gps...

im running winmo 6.5 official. google maps shows the correct location. the weather is also correct. the time too, if i click on the local time, it shows my city. however in the today screen it shows "my location" not the name of the city. what do you think could be wrong?

mine did that also after a fresh install .. what i did was ..
delete ALL from the weather / time locations
add a your close city / new city ..
Pick that ..
Then go back and pick My Location ..
and delete the new city
Fixed mine ..

I just got my TP2 two days ago and I love it!
I need to change the weather to find my city but unfortunately none of the hacks on here work for me.
I looked in the windows folder to find certain file but it wasn't there.
Maybe it has to do with me being on the official HTC 6.5 update??
I would prefer to edit a file and not install another application.
Any help is appreciated.

if u got windows mobile 6.5 with TF3D, u should just be able to click on the weather tab. press menu. and a slew of options appear. one of them being to add a new location or city. i think u can have like 7 or 8 different cities set up.
im not sure where ur from but i didnt need any hack to pull up my city...

oh i see, u need some kind of wrk around. someone should chime in soon enough on that matter. hol on...i juss thought of somethin....u need a way to go into the system registry or that widget registry.....find out how the determine the different cites used(like by zipcodes or some ([email protected]). then once u do, put in ur cities info, in that place.........................i thinkkkkkkk...lmfao

If that idea doesn't work, search for a cab. There are some out there that will add different cities to your list, I used them on previous ROM's to try to fix a My Location issue I had. It didn't work for my issue with My Location,but I can definitely say that it opened up different cities that were not previously available.

You should tell everyone what you used, to assist others.

I don't know what he used, but I use the Conflipper weather database v5. Downside is that it takes FOREVER for it to parse the huge database to find a city as you type the name.

I'm new.
Anyway, I used the JVH3 Weather Editor. Worked perfectly.

No, you haven't posted enough comments, but you could still copy the address into the text here. That would work.
Please, do that and also mention the names of the "hacks" that you tried that didn't work. That would help others in the future with this issue.

I would let it decide the city for me but its always wrong out here.
also would be nice to have multiple saved cities to plan ahead.
I am having the same issue. I can only add major cities but not smaller ones like Pleasanton, CA. If I'm in Pleasanton, it will show up fine but I can't add it as a city to my list.
Anyone know how to fix this?

having previously owned an iP***e and having applications such as rightmove and findaproperty i would just like to know if anyone has come across any android apps that do this particular job. Im looking for a house at the moment and these apps really helped me out before getting a quick insight in to house details before rerquesting a viewing. I currently us layar to get the details but it is a very long winded way of doing it.
Any advice would be great

there is a immoscout24 app but afaik it is only useable in germany.
I also know that the AR browser layar and the located based service app Aloqua has such services but I think only for germany, too.
you could use layar with the Find a Property Overlay... works kind of fine for me
Speaking as an estate agent, why don't you register with an agent, throughout all these different apps/websites, the agent can tell you about new ones straight away rather than u waiting til it appears on the net. Our bargains tend to sell before they hit the net.

Amazing that someone hasn't heard of Google Play where there is an untold number of free VPN's. I'll even bet that a quick Google will find a few. Either is going to be faster than posting on a forum and having to wait for aomeone to answer your plea. But then, some people just have to be led.
Makes me wonder how people who post this sort of moronic question have managed to sign up for the forum in the first place, or indeed found it at all. Or are we being trolled?

no sir the amazing thing that there is many people smart like you think that all vpn is working on countries prohibit the vpn !! you are very smart man !!
try to travel to any country prohibit vpn and go to google store and search for untold number of vpn and try to make it work ,, good luck smartest man i ever met

If you have never been to a country like China for example you won't understand @Tel864
But in short: Google is blocked in China and that means also Google services don't work there. Therefore you can't just google or download something in the Playstore, since the playstore is also blocked. So it's not that easy to get a VPN if you're in China.
I've been there for a year. Luckily I knew that before I went there, so I downloaded some VPN's before.
You can't just assume that everyone is living in a developed country or assume anything at all...
Anyway, if you need a download link for a VPN app let me know @amjadRR.

I downloaded all these vpn and not working and so.e of them work and after few days it stop work :crying:
@amjadRR the reason for these VPNs not working is very simple. They are in the store, so of course the government is gonna block them.
But as I said earlier in this forum, get wireguard.
This one might work and it is for free.
You just need to download the VPN profiles and open them with the wireguard app.

Nothing assumed and I have been there. What I assume is someone knowing how to post a question on forums so they can get the information they need. These forums are packed full of lazy people that would rather ask for something rather than search. BTW, there is a way to search in China and find those things. A free VPN is most likely not going to work. VYPRVPNI will make itself invisible and is what I used.
