Are you sure? ROM version on the web site is the WM5, and the file it downloads shows to be WM5.

The ROM date is 10/11/2007 and the Radio is 1.54. I've downloaded the ROM but I can't install because I don't have an 8525 anymore.

well they took it down or what because if you try know its the old rom from 4/9/07

The download popup showed the old rom was going to download, but this is what I downloaded.

Ooops, my bad.. The above rom is the one they leaked out. This is the one I just downloaded, and it is the old rom.

Thanks for the link. It seems that AT&T is duing this under some duress. The blurb on the site makes it clear that this is WM6, and also encourages hoarding! Here is the text before it goes away:
"Welcome to the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for the AT&T 8525. Please review the following prior to downloading and installing the ROM update on your device:
* This ROM is available from November 1, 2007 to February 1, 2008. After this date, the ROM will be removed from the website and will no longer be available for distribution.
* This ROM update is intended for the AT&T 8525 only and users should not load or attempt to load this version on any other device as it may cause serious issues/damage.
* At this time, Good Mobile Messaging is not supported on the AT&T 8525 with Windows Mobile 6. It is recommended that Good Mobile Messaging users not upgrade their device’s firmware at this time. Please note that once the latest firmware has been loaded, it can not be undone.

I just extracted the file, and this damn thing is about 90 megs, does that sound right?

I'm noticing on my desktop the software download page is taking me to the old rom for some reason. I use the same link on my laptop and I get the WM6 download page. Anyhow, the link I provided above should get ya the right rom regardless if you are having the problem I am.

Well, I don't answer questions I don't know the answer to. Sorry.

I downloaded for warranty's sake only (I am quite happy with vp3G's fine, fine work), but it's really there.
Sad thing is, at&t's craptastic handling of the WM6 release was so threaputic, such a nice outlet for my normally bottled rage... I really don't know what to do now.

I know this sounds kinda stupid.... I've been around here for a while and I should know this...
Will this shipped update change my SPL? I'm HardSPLv7...

This seemes to be a party stopper, I am going to flash it too and post the results, if it will work I will include Benchmark results too.

This is a BETA release, so problems are likely to occur, first WM6 weren't the best ones around too...
Just wait for a while, then the bugs will be eliminated.

I get a beta over message regardless of the system date set... This ROM is a NO GO until this gets fixed.

Put into Bootloader mode, then run it.

Put your Hermes into bootloader mode by holding the power button and the ok button on the left hand side. You will see the 3 color bootloader. You can then flash from there....I just had to do that.

i didnt test wifi,but others who use my rom say wifi is ok

In China,it`s dopod C720/C720W,or HTC S620
but there are many phones shiped from abroad
Excalibur(Dopod C720/C720w,HTC S620/S621,T-mobile Dash almost the same,just the brands

Does this version support Arabic and Hebrew, since both used non-latin charector, what about english?

Just Upgraded my Samsung Wave 1 (S8500) with Bada 1.0 to Bada 2.01.
This upgrade was a two step process :
1. Upgrade to Bada 1.2
2. Upgrade from 1.2 to 2.0
If you have any doubts regarding the upgrade steps, errors during upgrade, or post upgrade features, I can probably help you guys.

This is the message I go to update my phone. The thing is once all the files are finished downloading, Kies gives me an error saying the phone was not recognized. (This happens when the installation part comes)
I tried it for several times, but it keeps on giving me the same error.
What should be the matter?
Is there any ways of upgrading it manually (without kies)?

he bought it in Saudi Arabia but now m in Latvia. I tried to upload the firmware to 2.0 but there is no availaible when i try it says that the current version is JPKG1/JPKE2(KSA)

Is possible to come back to bada 1.2? Bada 2 is good, but it needs too much ram and my phone keeps crash when u use more than an app :s so I want to downgrade

Hi everyone. I see in Sammobile firmware list new XXDMB6 firmware. There is no info about which version of Android ...Has anyone tried?

Thats why i asked here in forum...Maybe something new has in this new firmware and Sammobile is prepearing a quck look...

It would probably a behind the scene update like we have been receiving till now.

it's no XEF MB6 there, but it's interesting because there we have kernel separately to download. thanks!

Send from my GNote 2 what else...

If you manage to get it on kies could you rip it and upload it.
