Freezing, Outgoing Call Quality, Device vs Card Storage

Hi
I have a TILT 2 that freezes up several times a day and need advice on that. Also need advice on which apps to load to Device or to Storage Card. And, what can I do about battery drain? I get maybe 5 hours of power if I don't use any apps or make any calls. Otherwise I have to be hard-wired in order to enjoy music, read books, make conference calls, surf the web or play. Finally, what can be done to improve call quality for callees. I spend a good portion of every day on the phone and I'm constantly getting complaints about breaking up, garbled, etc although I have a great signal and the sound is great from my end.
Storage Card
Audible Player - I don't use the player just the download features and synchronization
Batti – Love this app, especially with this phone because it seems to be a battery hog. (% Increments and always on top)
Google Maps
List Pro – Have used this app for years and love it for keeping the various lists that make my life work
Pocket Clock Pro – Another long time favorite for multiple alarms and timers
Microsoft Mobile Tag
Netflix Mobile
Pocket Music - I use this to listen to Audible downloads and the equalizer feature so I can control the volume of my music since the unit volume is way too loud and the Bluetooth lack of control issue.
Soothr – This little app is pretty cool. I travel a lot for work and spend a lot of time in hotels. I use the sounds to help block some of of the hotel noise
SPB Diary - I wonder if this one should be loaded to device memory
Total Commander – Given how often I do registry edits, it's a no-brainer
Weather4Me - I don't use the TF3D or Windows Default Today themes so need this app to stay up to date on conditions for the various cities I travel to most often
You Tube
Sudoku – Various apps but usually only one at a time. My favorite game
Meon – Another game, very addictive. Great for plane trips.
3 AVI movies - compressed with VirtualDub
Device Memory
Active Synchronization
ATTNAV – It's only here because I can't remove it
Easy Today Launcher – On the Today screen with my fave 7 most used apps (File Manager, Palringo, List Pro, Pocket Clock, Weather4me, Pocket Music, Google Maps)
Panoramic Launchpad – Accessible from Today
Pocket Digital Clock – For Today display (no seconds)
HTC & AT&T – apps I can't remove
Opera Mini, IE, Opera 9
My Mobiler
NETCFv35
Average 55MB free on Device
8 gb SDHC Memory Card about 50% full
I don't use graphics or themes
I deleted or uninstalled as much of the default loaded stuff as I could
My Today is pretty simple
Panoramic Launchpad
Pocket Digital Clock
SPB Diary (Calendar, Tasks, Notes, Messaging)
Easy Today Launcher
Device Lock
I've made a few registry edits (See Below)
In Call Recording - I use the stock recorder mapped to the PTT button. Start a call, push the button, start recording. Not as convenient as VITO Notes or even BugPhone (which is pretty awesome)
Adobe Reflow – Suffices for reading downloaded books from ManyBooks.net and Gutenberg Project resources.
Extra Camera Modes – Camera mapped to long key press

Volume Adjustments
Fix NetCF to use 3 instead of 2
Simple Mode - I set it so I have both Volume and System level controls
I did the ActiveSync fake out to keep it from coming on all the time
I do like to tinker and I'm not exactly new to the forum or in modding devices but I must admit a lot of what y'all discuss in these forums is over my head. I do pretty good research and I follow directions really well.
I'm an AT&T prisoner and a fan of HTC phones. I had a PPC 6700 that I liked lot, and a Kaiser which is about when I discovered the forum. I unlocked it and really gave it a workout. The screen became frozen so I got a Diamond, then the Fuze. Now I'm on the Tilt 2 with a refurbished Kaiser as backup. I need the backup because I've had some pretty good luck talking AT&T into doing right by me and I've won a couple of battles with the replacement insurance but after this last round I don't think I've got anything left.
I've had 3 phones where the screen froze up. The first was my original Kaiser – almost 2 years of use then bricked. I had 2 Diamonds, the first lasted a week before the screen froze up, the 2nd just under a year. I don't know if it is coincidental but the last screen problem happened only a couple of days after I downloaded and configured diamond tweaks and made adjustments for screen sensitivity and real estate. I've not yet had the courage to flash a custom ROM but I've had to flash the stock ROM often enough I feel like I easily could and will probably “upgrade” this TILT2 although I don't know with which ROM yet.
I don't really like the TILT2 as it seems like instead of improving the overall product line it was hastily thrown together. That Bluetooth thing where it won't allow control from headsets really bothers me. Also an annoyance is the lack of volume control.

Lag games

so ive been really annoyed with game lag on my phone recently . I used to think it was just a normal part of android and the way its system works and keeps interrupting the processer to do other tasks in the background while I play, but amazingly enough i looked at some youtube videos and saw people playing on it with pretty much 0 lag. So what do you think I should do to get this fixed?
1. My set up is as follows: Inspire 4 G running Absolution Rom overclocked to 1.3 GHz whenever i open a game, using ADW launcher with 7 home screens and 8 main widgets apart from shortcuts on my home screens : widgets = android pro widgets facebook widget and calendar widget, speak to it assistant widget, some random clock widget, time magazine widget, CNN widget, evernote widget and a bookmarks widget. One day ago i also installed chainfire 3D trying to solve this but havent noticed any reall difference and the NENA mark test actually got worse with only 29 FPS now instead of my previous scores of 32 and 34 on a regular basis. active programs that i think the system would keep on all the time are whatsapp, Go-SMS, email, tasker, and the call recorder.
2. the games lagging that ive tested so far: temple run and real racing 2. gun bros used to lag on the stock rom but is okay on absolution.
so what do you think is my problem? should I download some plugin for chainfire? overclock some more? is it my widgets?? also would a phone slow down with more programs installed? I have a large 32 Gb Sd Card, does that affect my phone's speed?

No need for chainfire...
1. what i know from my personal experience, is that sense roms are ram hungry so you have to pretty much kill all the apps before playing games.
2. If you want good gaming experience? get LC ICS as it has the latest gpu drivers for adreno 2xx, and overall gaming on it is much better according to my own experience.
Absolution isn't a Sense ROM. I use Absolution as one of the ROM's on my SD card on my Boot Manager & it plays Temple Run flawlessly. With no overclock or ChainFire & undervolted -50ma. It's something with ur setup. Did u do a full wipe before flashing Absolution?

Great ROM for playing games?

Hello,
I'm new here and have got my self a HTC One X. I have modded it with the new Maximus ROM. I am very happy with normal usage such as watching videos, surfing the net, listening to music etc.. But I noticed the battery runs out very quick when I play games. The games I play are not graphical heavy at all. They are actually the Kairosoft 2D management games. I wanted to know if there is a ROM for the HTC One X that support a good battery life for games. It would help me out a lot.
Cheers

[Q] how to fix Gaming Lag in games

Hi, i'm using the franco kernel r66 nightly with android revolution 10 rom 4.2.2, The newest one now. Oc'd to 1.5 ghz with 700mhz min and interactive governer and i'm experiencing lag in the game need for speed most wanted. I have no tasks open and it feels really really slow, 0.5x slower, like the timer in the top right counting up is choppy. How can i get the performance that youtube demos of this game on the gnex has? The videos on youtube, they're playing it perfectly but im not playing it perfectly.
I also have force gpu rendering on with android revolution hd
You are playing the game with all graphics unlocked AKA QuadCore quality smartphones
It happened because franco kernel overclocked the graphics to 512mhz, and the game thinks you have a awesome phone ( and you do!)
If you force it to go back to the original Nexus graphics, you'll want the nice graphics back, so my sugestion, is:
If you want to play the game, CPU - 1500mhz or 1600, and Governor: Performance (this is the key point)
You can also tweak other performance settings in the custom kernel part (in the franco kernel updater app), like finding what IO suits you best for the game.
With those tweaks, i run the game with full 30fps, except 1 or 2 tracks, in which there is a lot of water on the ground, but in those tracks it is completely playable still(23~27fps), but the game runs well in most tracks, with amazing refletions and shadows
Edit: Don't force GPU rendering
Wait, Wouldn't it make the game think i dont have the quad core phone if i use a trinity kernel 384mhz gpu? Then wouldn't that be fine?
Thankyou for the tip.
No idea, but it might work like that
Although in my opinion, i prefer the game with those graphics
I can withstand those 1 or 2 tracks
Thank you for everything, I flashed trinity and it worked, Honestly i dont see the difference but now its so much fun since it's playable now

Please help..
Am using samsung core. Not even one game plays smooth in my phone
I just finished rooting my phone, installed Monster rom.(Even before root, it wasn't good at all)
I've set the frequency max-1.2ghz and min.frq-700. Governor- Performance.
Is there anyway i can play em smooth ????

[Q] my note2 is overheating in games like clash of clans. 80°C / 176°F what to do???

My note2 n7100 is overheating in games like clash of clans.
It reach 80°C / 176°F 1 minute after i open the game.
Yes, energy saving mode is already active!
The scren get too hot. Its like burn fingers.
But on other tasks like surfing web, or seen movies, the temperature is just around 50°C / 122°F.
Is there a way, other than activate energy saving mode, to down temperature wile playng games?
Is cpu temperature about 80°C / 176°F a normal temperature?
Its safe to play 3 or 4 hours os game in this hight temperature?
My android is rooted. Is there any kind of processor frequency control app or custom firmware that open me possibilities to control cpu temperature?
Thanks!!!
I just realize that if I zoom in the game the temperature drops down 20%.. but still hot.. I think the only solution is some underclock.. its possible?
You can download no cpu frills on playstore. It controls ur cpu frequency and u can change governors too. Try playing with them and see which one suits you best. If there's no big difference, try changing rom. Good luck.
