Just wondering with the ICS Source being out for a little bit, anyone begun development? Really anticipating this!! As are the other thousands of members on this forum haha Galaxy S II Hercules ICS Please!!
This is just a thread I wanted to start to see if anyone can post info on whether or not people are working on it yet and as they do find out about pre-release ROMs do tell!!
HERCULES! HERCULES! HERCULES!
this question has been asked and answered way too many times already, please read, browse, or search the answer

I've seen threads, help and question threads to be precise, asking for CyanogenMod or Ice Cream Sandwich on our device. I always get pissed (sorry) whenever these threads are popping out of the blue as same questions always have the same answers.
So far, developers are started working on the port but it's a very long way to go. So the answer here is NOT YET! If you are a developer, we need your charity badly. If you're just a user, patience is the best policy here. Don't get too excited and demanding like you paid the developers.
I hope this post will result of immediate understanding among users.
PS: Hope this will become sticky for the time being.
goodluck
one way to make this thread sticky is to be online most of the time and reply ASAP..
or else others will still post elsewhere
anyways, there is already a FAQ thread..just need an cyanogenmod entry
Nothing to display

I just rooted my new T989. Now for a good custom rom or two. I'm not asking what is the best custom rom out but rather:
1. What are some of the most popular custom roms out and why are they popular.
2. What are some good ones that are faster (yet stable) than stock, which ones have better camera quality (I think the vibrant camera is better without flash), and which are overclockable but stable?
Thanks!
Edit: Sorry I'm a super noob. I tried searching yet I don't know how to find the info I'm looking for. I accidentally posted this in the wrong section. Would the correct section be the Q and A?
Remember this is not a flame thread. I'm not asking what is the best rom. But rather what are some of the most popular (popular doesn't mean best) ones that people talk about the most. A good 3-5 would suffice.
Should of read the dev section or use the search. Be prepared for the flaming to begin unil this thread is closed.
P.S. JUGGERNAUT 5.0

Is this a joke? You posted this in the DEVELOPMENT SECTION. Instead of creating a new thread, how about reading through other threads that were in the same section you posted this in?

This is why I hate this section. One person needs to flame or at least guide in the right direction. Instead everyone that owns this device has to flame. That's what mods are for. Go flash something!!!!!

Why exactly did you post this thread in the DEV section and NOT either Q&A or GENERAL?
PS You could have the used the search bar instead of creating a useless thread

You'll learn people are not very nice. I posted in the wrong thread yesterday like a moreon. It happens the best of us. Mod will fix it.
I consider http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455292 to be the best most stable full functioning rom. But read the threads flash around and find your own favorite
That link is for blu ray
Juggernaut 5.0

Darkside Digital Warfare
Malice
Beastmod 5.0
Malice and Beastmod are over on the rootzwiki site.

Seriously people...the guys is new to using the amazing forums here! Some of you joined 2 months ago and you never once posted a useless thread or asked an already answered question? Give him a break, he admitted his fault so instead of criticizing and shaming why not help and just point in the right direction?
I have been slammed by you guys before and the only reason I put up with the"I am better than you attitudes"is because the majority of users aren't always looking to find fault or ridicule others who are seeking knowledge from experienced users.
So let's try to be a little nicer to noobs looking for guidance especially when they admit their mistake in the op!

I am not saying bash the OP but you shouldn't be telling anyone how to act since you apparently didn't read the whole thread. The 2 posts you quoted were made before the OP admitted his mistake. They are the reason why he admitted his mistake. If you look at the OP you will see that it was edited 20 minutes or so after it was originally posted, after his mistake was brought to his attention. I am not saying it was brought to his attention in a very helpful manner.
If you want to see the most popular, you can sort by views on the Development forum. But the MOST popular is Juggernaut 5.0.
Remember learn to survive n this forum, theres lot of people who think they r better than others, dont have a life and the only entertaiment is to flame people post! For those flamers.....I know you have a pathetic life because of that... GET A LIfE!

Yes, in before the lock I moved the thread. I have to say it's encouraging to see so many trying to help instead of just flaming. However, best ROM or similar threads never last, nevermind those posted in Development. To the OP, learn to use search, read, study, and try things on for size.
I was thinking on trying out the sky rocket ports of ICS roms on t989...
However can anybody tell me what are the current issues left in these roms ?
I scanned through many threads, I don't see any major issues left except people getting occasional FCs and all...seems they are not very stable as daily driver?
Also are there camera related issues or HW acceleration ones or are they sorted out already
I can mantain this thread as quick Wiki on tracking left ICS issues if there are many and people want to co-operate
You should try to coordinate with the other 3 threads on this.
I'm not able to find any other threads specifically relating to ICS issues on ported skyrocket ROMS and I have searched.
Are you referring to ICS news thread in the general section, the purpose of that thread is something different, lol I donno even if it has any purpose...ICS from TMO is gonna come out/leaked when it has too..they are not going to send out dev updates or something of that sorts in news..

So, I got a Verizon GNex (toro) today and for some reason I feel like I walked into a spider web and I have no clue what to do with it. I'm wanting to definitely get it off of stock and on to CM 10.1... can anyone direct me with a simple post on where to go for a nice stable build of CM10.1 that will get me all the great JB greatness of 4.2.x? (Sorry for the noobish post but I think after an hour of looking I'm more confused as where to start than where I began!)
Not really a problem lol, welcome to the forums! CM10.1 is not in "stable" stages yet, but the nightlies for the galaxy nexus devices are fully functional. Here's where you can find them: http://get.cm/?device=toro
Again, welcome and maybe if you take a peak in the development forums for the toro you'll find something you like more. Just don't start threads in there with questions, lol.

Hello I was wondering if anybody was currently working on a 7.0 Nougat Rom for our phone yet!? I'm running the Kyubi Rom right now 5.1.1 and would love to have the newest OS on my note 4. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section still kinda new here lol.
Yea this is the wrong place to ask, I think this forum is reserved for people that submit ROMs, kernels and MODS for people to use and for troubleshooting on those particular issues on their threads. You want the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 General forum. To answer your question, though, I'd looked this up, myself. For CM, I'd read there will be a CM 14, which is Android 7.0, for the Galaxy Note 4 (Source: http://techxat.com/android-devices-getting-cm14-nougat-rom/). Who knows when. Will there be other Nougat ROMs? Well, "Probably" ? Just be patient and wait a month or two.

that's good news if it's true. is that a reliable web site? I've never heard of it. they have their list of supported phones, but they don't really say where they got the info from. doesn't seem to be anything to support that on the official CM site. hope it's accurate though.
