Nougat Rom for Verizon Note 4? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello I was wondering if anybody was currently working on a 7.0 Nougat Rom for our phone yet!? I'm running the Kyubi Rom right now 5.1.1 and would love to have the newest OS on my note 4. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section still kinda new here lol.

Yea this is the wrong place to ask, I think this forum is reserved for people that submit ROMs, kernels and MODS for people to use and for troubleshooting on those particular issues on their threads. You want the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 General forum. To answer your question, though, I'd looked this up, myself. For CM, I'd read there will be a CM 14, which is Android 7.0, for the Galaxy Note 4 (Source: http://techxat.com/android-devices-getting-cm14-nougat-rom/). Who knows when. Will there be other Nougat ROMs? Well, "Probably" ? Just be patient and wait a month or two.

that's good news if it's true. is that a reliable web site? I've never heard of it. they have their list of supported phones, but they don't really say where they got the info from. doesn't seem to be anything to support that on the official CM site. hope it's accurate though.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 Tmobile best Touchwiz Rom

Hello I was wondering what a good and stable Jelly Bean ROM with Touchwiz would be on T-Mobile? I need it because of the tethering app so I was just wondering what a good Touchwiz ROM would be that is stable.
Thank You!
While I am not sure about the tethering (as I personally do not use it), I have had great experiences with the WICKED rom. It is currently sitting at version 6 but I have had 4 for some time now with no issues. The dev seems to maintain a close eye on the thread and seems very active so I feel comfortable with his work. I may make the jump to 6 but am considering holding off until multi-window is added. Good luck.
Seriously???
Search the forums... every thread that has been opened asking this question has been closed. Search the dev section... read op's and feature lists... try them for yourself. Only u know what works best for u.

You can check out the SGH-T999 Galaxy S III Resource Bible for info about the ROMs. mt3g has spent a lot of time and effort putting it together to hopefully quash these type of threads from popping up.
I suggest you take a gander at it and then find one you like, read the OP, then read the last 10 pages or so for known bugs. If that is your brand of vodka, then you can read the thread from the beginning and probably solve any and all issues from there.

[Q] help with rom, can't find in search

Hey guys, so I've searched in q&a, general, and development and can't find a thread for this. my upgrade date is august, and I'm pretty sure I'm going with a note, either 2 or 3, so as a last hoorah with my gnex I'm going to root and flash a rom. i've done this to many devices before, but I'm wondering which rom is best, as far as liquid smoothness and speed are concerened. I cna't find a thread descussing this. Also, if you have a rom that you perfer, for whatever reasons, I'd love to hear it! Thanks in advance.

you know why you cant find a thread about a "best rom"?
1) you're terrible at search. there's a ton of them that are locked
2) they're locked cause they're not allowed.
3) go try some with features you want in the development thread for your device.
"Best ROM" threads are not allowed and are usually closed by mods. Although there is one that has slipped through the cracks and is still going surprisingly.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636471
Read through that and see what people are saying. But basically, all ROMs are going to be pretty much the same.
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.

has anyone setup a public cm repository yet?

I remember the Nook Color had a large community effort behind it here on XDA to get CM working on it before it was official... Sounds like several of us are working on the SM-T210/SM-T210R independently... Wondering if anyone has setup a git or anything that everyone can pitch in and get CM off the ground?
If not... Ill start one... though I cannot promise to throw large numbers of hours at it.
i am waiting for the cm10 and android 4.2.2
i need the new multiple user feature...
all my phones got the cm ....i sell the tab 2 and bought a tab 3 ....
cant belive that nobody is modding a cm mod for this one ;(
i ask for it in the cyanogenmod forum .... but no answer

This belongs in a question thread, not a development thread. Any questions (or planning type) thread does not belong in the development section. Once something is actually developed, it can be moved to the development section.

You should look at the nook color development forum's history as referenced before making these sweeping statements.
Well, there IS a sticky thread reading "If you did't create it, it probably doesn't belong here" - we might argue about what create means but anyhow...
There are 3 threads on CM-Development:
This is the most active one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2473201
These have already been there at the time of your post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466040
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495487
Did't you actually post in one of these already? Well it doesn't matter, there are a few repos, one for the kernel:
https://github.com/kumajaya/android_kernel_samsung_lt02
and modules:
https://github.com/kumajaya/android_kernel_samsung_lt02_modules
And for the device-specific files:
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_device_samsung_lt02wifi
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_vendor_samsung_lt02wifi
(those are not yet buildable but more complete)
and mine:
https://github.com/kaibutsu/android_device_samsung_lt02wifi
(which is buildable but far from complete)
I hope this helps. I'd like to use the TeamRegular-Repo, but I don't really understand what was done there, so I set up my own - to be synced with the other one at some point.
As far as the other models are concerned, I don't know about them but since their hardware is completely different, I don't think setting up a repo for all three makes sense...

Where is Rom development?

Why the rom development for our phone is too slow?? I cant see even a single rom based on aosp or cm
It is because bootloader is locked for G3, and recently devs found the way to get past the bootloader. They are working on AOSP and other roms, but we need to wait.

Do some reading instead of just posting crap like this - there's many roms being worked on

Any type of query is never a crap..i have posted my confusion in a sincere manner..if you think this is a crap then there are lot of questions which will stay in our mind and will never be posted here. These forums are for clarifying our confusions and it does not matter what they are..thanks a lot for your reply
A search and your could have found an answer - your post seems demanding - to answer your question - why is rom development slow....
Cause your're impatient.

This post seems rude and impatient. I realize you were asking for help with a legitimate question, but you asked it the complete wrong way. A quick search would have shown you that Bump was released for all G3 variants on October 10th. It has been 2 weeks since the bootloader was unlocked and Team Codefire has not publicly released the method to Bump kernels yet. Reading just a few of the G3 threads for any device would have given yiu your answer and so many people are already discussing this. I apologize for being harsh and I hope I have answered your question.
After some months I'm thinking about changing rom. Thanks for the news.

Question Which Device is Best to Build The custom

Hello Fellow Developer and Programmer, I'm New to custom rom Development and I'm Bit confused for which Device Should I made custom rom
Hi, you should also check the main "what phone" thread here:

The immutable problem with posting that question here - is that people are just simply biased. You're going to get the majority of people saying OnePlus just by default, here. In the redmi forums, you're going to get the exact same bias.
But I understand you're conundrum, .......where can you post this?
Judging by your (op) post history now, do you even own a OnePlus 9 pro?
