Live wallpapers gone after reboot - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been using the World generic 4.0.2.A.0.42 for a bout a week and a half now. As that really stabilized my phone over the Rogers (Canada) version, I started using Live wallpapers. The only thing is that when I reboot my phone, the stock wallpaper appears. Is this a known issue with this build, all arc builds, or android in general? I haven't used them up to this point, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
Thanks.

Are they on internal memory or on your sd card?

It is normal for live wallpaper.

Yep, they were on the sd card and moving them to the phone did the trick. Makes sense too ... trying to load before the SD card is mounted. I'll just keep the one I'm using on the phone and the rest on the card and move them around as I switch them.
Thanks!

Problems with CM10 (sd card, ect)

Three days ago i found out what rooting was, and i thought i would try it, so after many searches i managed to root my phone. Next i tried to install CM 10 on my htc one v cdma, and at first it kept rebooting, but i managed to fix that. My problem now is that whenever I try to go into storage the phone goes out of settings and says "unfortunately, settings has stopped" i don't think it is mounted, but on the notifications bar it says its safe to remove the sd card, this is not the only problem, sometimes when i turn it on or wake it up the phone background is like copies of things... i cant really explain it, but it looks like it has 10 clocks, or phone icons everywhere, and i cant click on anything.
Can someone please help me it would be appreciated.
ps (I keep hearing about jellyboot 5 kernel, but when i search google for a download it turns up nothing every time, so can someone please projide a link).
Thank you all ahead of time.
u didnt factory reset. Do a factory reset and flash kernel.

Use the 12-30 super sick kernel. It solves a lot of issues. Id also suggest backing all your data from your sd card to your computer and letting android reformat the card.
Sure it takes a few minutes, but it solves problems.

My HTC One V does not have a SD card. Can you explain what you mean by "backing all data from your SD card to your computer"

[Q] SD card slot "dead"?

I have a R800a with unlocked bootloader. I was using CM 7.2 until a friend pointed out an update that made jellybean roms more atractive, so I went for CDan's Turbo JB kernel and CM 10. Then I realized CM 10 could not recognize my sdcard, so I rolled back to CM 7.2. Since then, my card slot does not "work" properly, I've tried exchanging several times, even went back to stock ROM. Even CWM recovery gives an error when trying to mount sdcard. Anyone can help?
Did you try blowing air inside?

As a matter of fact I did, but to no avail. I've also fastboot a recovery image, but it isn't able to mount my SD card. Using other SD cards, and reformatting isn't useful either.
Format your sd card. I know that sucks to hear. You should still be able to mount to pc through cwm if you don't have a memory card slot.

I had issues where some SD will not get recognized by CWM. Use a different SD card.

I've tried those things, but still can't mount the SD card. The SD I'm currently using is recognized by my PC with no problems, and all others I've tested on my phone are working too, just not on my Play.

Apps to SD card?

I was looking for something that can allow me to manually move spacific apps to SD card.
Is there something that will allow me to do that?
I know there's the appext2sd but that makes the phone think that the SD card is the internal memory.

I am not hostile. I am just trying to understand why the internal SD card is all used up. When you set up the games, typically they have setting that will move the game data files to external SD.
On another note, despite the games, what else do you have on internal sd that's sizeable ?

im looking for the same thing, i have a 64gb card but the rom i am using it wont work with it (using wicked rom on tmo s3).
the card is exfat format and the apps2sd doesnt work...
i have like thousands of mp3s, games/aps and gps stuff etc thats taking up everything...
i was told that if i was to format the exfat to fat it will work just fine and the rom will read it like a normal sd card and we can use the apps2sd app and itll read the 64gb card as normal storage and we can keep the phones memory basically free?
some say yes and others no just want a definitive answer to this because i love the wicked rom and with a 64gb card..
so far i have been using a mod here that is called 11extsd2internalsd, which makes the sd card primary storage and the phones memory secondary.. would be nice not to have to use that and use the card as normal
thanks

Do a favor. Take the Sd Card to a PC and format under Windoz for Fat32. No Quick Format there.

Are you using a custom kernel? Wicked is stock based so it should be able to read exFat. If you are using a custom kernel, that may be why it doesn't work, it may not have the correct modules. (Especially if the kernel is md5 based. Wicked is LJC I'm pretty sure).
Either way though, if you reformat the card to Fat32, it will be more compatible across non touchwiz roms, and would probably be so for you now as well. But I'd use a stock kernel personally. Never had any real issues with them, and you'd probably get to use the card as it was intended.

kitkat move to SD problem

hey guys could someone help me out on this ..The move to SD card option brought out after the kitkat update for our phone somehow doesnt work for me .. instead of moving the app data to external sd card , it moves to the internal sd ..
example i downloaded the game fifa 2014 which is like 1.3gb ..when i say move to sd card the internal sd card almost gets full with and only a very small amount of data say 100 mb goes to the external sd .. same with minion rush too.. is this the way it works ?

The problem is due to move to sd option - when you move apps to SD card using move to SD option what is happening is only some part of app is moved to external SD card and some part remains in the internal memory...so when you switch off your mobile the external sd card automatically gets unmounted & all the apps which has link to it gets broken & shortcuts gets deleted. when you switch on your phone the external sd card gets mounted & you can find all your apps in the main apps section but the shortcuts no longer appear & you have to again create them.:crying:

Its because the app are in SDcard not in internal...so as your phone remove the sdcard then the app is gone..

[Q] How to install apps on SD?

I recently bought an sd card. I am rooted running Iron rom and skyhigh kernel for the T800. For anyone using sd cards, is there a way to install apps to it and run it fine on my device while it being on my sd? Can someone tell me an app or something so i can save space on my internal storage? I have also applied the sd patch and formatted the sd with my tab s. Thank you!

It kinda works.. It just moves the data over. Anyway it doesnt matter as most games I have are small, so I can move all the big data to the sd and mount it from there. But thanks for the help!
