And do not change radios and especially rils without the need to. If anything works you will not have many benefits from changing and maybe you break something..newest is not always best...
The latest radio is 5.17.05.23 There's a thread in desire Android development section I think

Dang you guys are on the ball in here! I just got it fully downloaded and I'm uploading it to a mirror now.
I'm just reading through and wanted to know about it.. I don't know much about this and since it says radio, is it just the radio or like an official test rom from tmobile??? Even though I don't mess with these, just wanted to be informed

This is a full dump of the Gingerbread ROM for the Vision. The Radio in the name is just telling you want Radio version is included. This is the same for every HTC ROM
is the hboot ENG?
also, is the rom ext3 or ext4?

Has the actual RUU or signed ROM been leaked anywhere? If I understand it right, this would theoretically give those of us with 1.22 S-ON soft bricks at least a working phone again.

yep, sorry about that .. deodexing this pig brought my system to its knees for a while there and i forgot to post md5 .. had to run out to pick my son up , can't remember radio version off top of head

I'm pretty sure that this is the stock radio. If this radio is that version number you said, it's stock.

Yes, I saw that the ROM has 26.09.04.26_M, the topic on this one shows the stock. I'll wait for the new radio

I'm not sure how the mistake was made, but the radio version mentioned in the OP can't be from the Gingerbread leak. The OP's version is the same version I already have installed, and that's the radio that came on the phone stock.
Can someone make this a flashable zip please?

xREVO had a link in his post that had the new radio in it, but it's gone now. That is what I flashed....

It is the newest radio but it was already released a few days ago with
[ROM][Jul 14, 2011] Vision Gingerbread Sense 2.42.405.2-WWE Untouched (from OTA).
Or you can look in the radio thread for proof...

Iif you haven't flashed a radio before then I would recommend to leave it as it is because radiaos is all region based.

I flashed couple of time a radio this is not an issue. I just wanted to know if you think that another version is better for this version?
I noticed that the battery on this ROM is very poor. The life of the battery with the same radio on different ROM was much better.

Battery not an issue on JT - am getting easily double from stock
after rooting my desire i decided to change ril. from that point all the custom roms i install they have one and only on problem. they dont lock any satellite no matter how much hour searching...i left it one day from 10-30 minutes and the other day 2-3 hours....in open space. nothing. it was searching and searching...what you sugget ? i have tried everything. gps fix, gps status toolbox, reset and download gps.conf, even the a-gps patch. nothing worked at all.

Think of RIL's as the driver software between your OS and your radio. Change rom's and you change RIL's.
But your radio is not changed. The radio and RIL need to work together. You need to find out what radio you have and download and flash the ril for it.
Note there are different requirements for different rom's. With a bit of searching in this forum you can find the right RIL for your ROM and radio.

that is clearly my mistake. I should have written something else.
