I don't intend to get into a battle about the legality of this. I know XDA's
stance and I would encourage any mod that wants to take action to first
read the above threads in their entirety, especially the link to CDMA Gurus
in the third page. Further concerns should be directed to Ting's attorneys.

The purpose of this post is to signal boost Ting's call for end users willing to
root and otherwise modify Verizon/Sprint/other CDMA devices for use on their
network. I imagine that many XDA members will fit this bill just fine. I'm posting
in WP7 D&H because I assume most of their helpers will be Android users and
I know the WP7dev situation with the Sprint HTC Arrive and the Verizon HTC
Trophy is anemic compared to what's available on GSM WP7 devices.
I have an Arrive and I am volunteering to help Ting. I would like this thread to
become a resource for Arrive, Trophy and other CDMA WP7.x devs and users
to share publicly available tools to assist in this endeavor. Thanks!

Someone in the ATT S4 forum posted something interesting about a bloat switch. They posted a link to a post talking about a dialer code on a SGH-I317M that basically shows a screen of available carrier bloatware installations and allows for a phones firmware to be switched to a specific carrier market. I was wondering if anyone was willing to try and see if this code works on the T-Mobile S4 *#272*IMEI# and if so, could someone post a screenshot of what it says. Of course, you have to assume responsibility for trying...if it blows your phone up, it's not my fault!
If it doesn't work, does anyone know of a code on this phone that will show this information?
I think it could be useful for people that want to use their T-Mobile S4 on the AT&T network or people that want to use their AT&T S4 on T-Mobile's network.
It seems counter productive to actually install bloat onto a phone but it could be useful for some and might help with wifi hotspot programs and other things that might be exclusive to each network.

Incidentally, the code does nothing. You don't need any AT&T software to use the device on AT&T and it is highly unlikely that the bootloader being locked/unlocked is at all dependent on such a simple software switch. It would be difficult and dangerous for it to be so.
You will need a SIM unlock regardless of CSC. If you purchase the device outright and it does not prove to be unlocked, T-Mobile should give you a code.

As I stated in another thread, I cannot confirm AT&T LTE band support (unlikely) but you can use their HSPA+ bands.

Hello I want to buy for France a galaxy note 10 plus n975u blacklisted in the USA and locked sim verizon. I know it can work despite the blacklist in France, but for the simlock verizon this is annoying! Can I still unlock sim carrier it if it is blacklisted? If yes where? Thank you

Although in many circumstances it may be a case of a buyer being taken advantage of, and while we sympathize, modifying an imei is not considered to be a practice we condone. It can lead to a lot of issues on our end if we allow these type of discussions to take place.
