Hi,
i have the latest doomKernel installed with my ARC. I am wondering what is the best combination from I/O Scheduler and governor? for balanced battery consumption and performance ?
Regards,
Mubarak
There is no good solution.
Everyone use what they want.
I reccomend 245-1400 and lowering voltage -25.

Soon franco will have an experimental branch and I'll bet we'll have 1.65ghz back

Overclocking doesn't necessarily man it's better. I'm using francos but undertaking it to 1000. still smooth and lasts longer

It's pretty easy to switch between kernels (just put the zip on your external and flash with CWM). Try em both out and let us know which one you think is better.
I'm using Franco's kernel atm and think it's great (still on 18.4) but haven't used the Glados one.
Alright thanks for the input everyone!
It depends on what you need, battery life or performance. etc ?

Wildfire - miniX10
Hi
I would like to load: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967851
But it refers to a Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25550442
And it seems it is for the MiniX10
any ideas
For a long battery life, stock kernel is suggested

So tell me, what is your best Kernel and Scheduler combo and why? We've all been experimenting with different types to hit that sweet spot, so what's yours? Be sure to also include what ROM/Kernel you are running with as well!

Jovy23's darthstalker is liquid smooth. Stock kernel. CFQ and Ondemand are best combo I think. Battery life is 16 hours plus with 3 hours screen on time ... noughsaid

Hello GN2 Users,
So I've recently been playing with my CPU settings and I've been messing with different governors.
My question to you all is which governor do you like to use and why?
I like On Demand because it seems to give me the same performance with better battery life. But this is purely observation. I haven't done any benchmarking to actually test it yet.
Please add your input!

Sorry about that. Where would the proper place for this be?
What do you use to toggle different governors? I use ROM Toolbox Pro, and it doesn't have the ZEN or many of the other Android governors that I've read about. Is there a way to add new governors?

Govs are part of your kernel. ..not your control app.
Different roms will contain those kernel governors, or you could find a compatible kernel to go with your current rom....g

Just post in Q&A sections.
Yes, not sure if your kernel support it. I use the same app, ROM toolbox pro but you can also give NO FRILLS CPU a try too

and scheluder sio? and why luznactiv and not the other or smartassv2?
Lulzactive has the perfect scaling from freq up to down for me as during gaming its high enough for 0 lags and when idle its lowest but pumps up for backgrourund processes and for schedular i would go with cfq
I chose cfq cus the peeps at cyanogen mod use it, xD
