Yep not much of an update though and so far I see nothing that works any better then what it already did. Read a few people say it was a bit faster but I've never had speed issues with the market so not really sure what was changed.

Just copy the file to your SD card and install like normal app.
So much faster than the old market, it's worth the upgrade.
Still slow haha but an improvement,
Thanks!

Thanks! Installed
I'd love to see screenshots of it
Waitting for the update (Spanish version)
It's EXACTLY the same as 3.3.12 so no screen shot needed

People are reporting that it runs faster but your mileage may vary.
This is a great improvement, thank you very much good sir.
No way to do it straight from your stock GN?

Open the APK in File Expert or another file manager and install it. Works fine on a stock GN.
The market does seem a bit snappier, but it could just be a placebo effect. Even if it is, I'm not complaining
It's lightning fast for me. A huge improvement!
Great speed improvement, especially with an OC kernel :]
Nice! Many Thanks!
yep..is faster
Faster, thanks!
Thanks

Noticeably faster and working without issue on my LTE GN.
FYI: 3.4.4 was pushed to my device today that didn't have it manually installed... might be auto updated for most users now

nope it just sets at the screen when it should be playing. Boy does that suck.
Ditto. Sometimes sound plays; but muffled. Awesome Rom though, loving it otherwise.

Huge downgrade for something that's in alpha stage to not be working perfectly?
Netflix upgraded to work with android 4.x back in december with the galaxy nexus release. Like other people who saying I think it's more to do with the actual rom than anything else. I'm sure with the next series releases these minor compatibility issues will be fixed.
Its netflix now but what else isn't working? There are programs other people use on a daily basis not seen at the moment with the current developers and testers using this beta style rom. We are not status quo. There's only a few people using calk's fb17 release at the moment...100 max I am willing to gamble.
The real question is what else isn't working? What other programs like netflix are not running correctly on this version of ice cream sandwich. Maybe there's an off chance that we can isolate the problems similar to what's going on with netflix and other programs and somehow cross check them together with other programs/APKs to find some related issue and tackle it from there.
Until then, like others, I'm gonna stay back on a regular android 3.x rom and work from here because I can't make it through my work night without netflix. It's too damn boring here at usps. 2 hours of work and 6 hours of downtime makes kevin a dull boy. here's hoping an even more stable release is put out so that we can have basic yet minor things like netflix back. Even though it may not seem that important to some other joe schmo across the internet at least a few of us actually desire something like netflix so I wouldn't judge too much.
Oh and by the way, I think this is working with my fb15 version last night so who knows maybe its just some issue isolated to the fb17 rom. I would check but I'm not at home. I really don't feel like temporarily breaking my phone for the evening. If someone wants to check to make sure you could try to flash the old fb15 release and see how netflix runs on that...or if it runs at all.

Netflix its working on mine.

Like every other release for any OS, software patchwork needs to be done. What is truly exciting about ICS is that Google is requiring manufacturers not to mess with the base of the OS. Which means developers update once and it should be compatible with all. Its exciting mainly because some cool devs for ios have been holding back due to android manufacturers messing around. Now they should easly convert to android.

Quick question, and I'm not sure if it matters or not but how did you go about flashing calks rom? I can think of 3 or 4 different ways I can go about getting everything installed with this fb17 rom. I'm trying to figure out the difference between what you did what I did and how I can possibly get this to work for my phone. last time I installed it on a freshly flashed cwm as well as the fb15 modem. Then I even reverted back to stock el29 modem and rom, then installed calks rooted and deodexed fb17 rom keeping the el29 modem (doubt it matters much which modem I had). just wanted see if you did nothing there for different...or...something
Edit: Dang speak and spell screwed up everything...lol

Fumny I was looking for it this morning, it probably hasn't been updated for 4.0, it shows up on gingerbread.

OK I don't know what gives, but I couldn't find it on my phone (GB) either either. But here is the work around.
I found it in Android Market on my computer and purchased it there. It made me choose which phone I wanted it installed on, so maybe it makes you pay for each device you have and that is causing us not to find it. As soon as I went to market on my phone, it was installed before I had a chance to hit the search button.
Edit... Ok ... so I have it. Is there a tutorial? I am confused.
I am starting to get it slowly though. Maybe when I get back home and figure things out I will start a post... I am out of battery for now.
well i have v1.0 ... >.>
but they updated so its time to break out ma tools XD
I purchased this app as well, its good but its missing some features the video on youtube showed. I was running the ICS leaked roms and none of them would work/compatible according to the market. I tried the market website and still didnt work, i had to revert to GB from Caulkin to get it after all. My initial impressions are mixed due to it still being a premature relase and not having all the features. So far one update was relased already so it seems like a good thing.
I purchased it and installed it yesterday on CM9. Ended up having to wipe data, and upon going back to the Market to install it, I can't find it anywhere. Dubious indeed.
So I attempted editing the build.prop as many have done to fix issues with the Chrome Beta browser, and still no luck getting this to show up. I liked the launcher while I was using it yesterday, but I'm enjoying CM9 more, so hopefully someone (likely won't be me) can figure out a way to get this to show up.

Its incompatible because its 17.00 fux that stuff ..... 4 maybe 5 bucks for a launcher OK but 17 ...come on I will call ice t at law & order svu , they trying to rape people
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
yep, 17 bucks is wrong for a launcher....
You know, I don't care about the $17 bucks that much...... IF its something I like and want. I wish they would put out a free version that is only good for a few days, something like 3-7 days, so that we could try it out before dropping $17.
I have it but don't really like it getting rid of it

I hate to be "that guy" and I'm not by any stretch of the imagination trying to say progress is hasn't been made because the past few weeks have amazing... but any clue as to when we will see some 4.0.4 love?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I doubt we will soon. Final ICS for this phone is pretty much going to be 4.0.3 it's up to Samsung to actually get the updates and since they never did update to 2.3.7 I don't think we will see 4.0.4 anytime soon honestly.
If you look up the difference it really is only bug fixes. Those bugs might be specific to the Nexus G so it might be a pointless update. Correct me if I am wrong. It just seems like there is no difference.

4.0.4 was released nexus s to begin with and pulled quick so we will get probably a 4.0.5 or .6 for update
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
way to early for that question, cant just wait for android 4 just to hit the device officially in the first place. this thread is going to probably head down hill pretty quickly....
2.3.7 was only for google wallet and only for the sprint nexus s thats why this phone never got it and 4.0.4 fixes the Android OS bug. The reason this phone is not getting 4.0.4 yet (if it evers gets it) is cuz source is not out.

I remember reading some info when JellyBean was released, and it said that the app updates from the Play Store were only supposed to be the changes instead of the whole app. Where is that feature? Is it not included in AOSP?

I looked at the thread, and most people were having issues with the modded playstore. Maybe Google hasn't worked it out yet?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
didn't have issues myself. I know its working for me for sure since a 15mb app updates in less than a minute with sprints crap 3g, well the download part the install process is a little longer than it used to be. justinbean gapps might have a newer modded playstore in it I think I read... try that one out maybe. could be just googles issue as you said but hopefully not. good luck with this
