it seriously amazes me how many people cant bloody read in this forum.

people who post such stuff in the dev section are funny and should be laughed at, but on the other hand i also think the same bunch of people who comment on such posts (like that crazy Slovak spammer) and try to get cheap "thanks" hits are also funny and should be laughed at too

That crazy Slovak spammer is right 98.57% of the time. How rough he is is proportional to the stupidity of the post in question. Then again, how could you come and ask for some common courtesy, when you have granted none?

These quadrant scores are totally overrated, IMHO. I would just take care wether the rom you are using runs smooth or not. If it does, there is no reason to check quadrant.

It does reflect on gaming performance though.. e.g. Worms lags on the latest runnymede but works awesome on CM7.. not saying it's a bad ROM, it's quite the opposite, probably one of the best (if not the best) Sense 3 rom out there

That's what I mean. Why check quadrant, if you can test yourself if it works well for your needs or not? I only play AngryBirds Rio, and it runs perfectly on dGB. So why should I give someting on my phone's quadrant score?
Besides, people using DATA2SD get a (very) unrealistic quadrant score because this script distorts the results. So the reflection on gaming perfomance would also be distorted. Nevertheless, I am pretty sure you are right in most cases.

After realizing that I made a mistake by ditching my EVO for the Epic; I returned to the EVO and installed CM6. What a difference! Everything is great so far except for battery life (even using profiles on setCPU) so I was wondering what kernel would provide speed, reliability and battery savings. I'm currently running CM6 kernel and I'm getting around 1250 on quadrant (around the same results of the nexus one with froyo) so I'm happy with the speed so far but I would love some more battery life (I'm getting less than 8 hours with moderate use).
Thanks
What I learn is try a kernel for a day or two. Try another.. you will find one. Not saying do this but this is what I'm doing. Just like finding a rom.. always come back to cm6

Geez, my bad. For some reason I thought I was in the general section.
Can a mod move this thread to the general section? Thanks
Before this gets moved.. all hardware is different. On paper its the same, but what we have learned is that phones respond differently to the software thrown at them. As others suggested, try them out. Snap as well as Kings are excellent kernels. Just find there threads and I can't stress enough to read the op. Most of the questions you have can be found there, as it can be a little cumbersome with all the different versions for some. But yeah, make sure to give it a run for a few days before you decide its not working for you. Your phone needs to get used to it, so basing it off a charge after a few cycles is always a good idea.

Run Snap v7.5 for an increase in speed and battery life.
King's Kernel all the way, and I've tried all the damn Snap kernels.
Mostly, you should be managing your wifi/3g/screen off cpu settings.

I've been using King's #1 kernel after trying (and having issues with) a myriad of Snap kernels. I really like King's and am waiting for #2.
Who are these guys? and how'd they do it?
I've got set CPU cranked up to 11 (1700 MHz+) Latest Synergy Kernel, 3.6.5 ROM (Domination) and I feel like I'm not even close.

You know, Close to their scores. I don't mean to be a speed queen but I thought we had one of the speediest phones around and then I see mine compared to 380 other people with what appears to be a stock speed version of the same phone I can't help but wonder why mine is slow in comparison.
do a fresh boot, don't open up anything unneeded. run the test like 5 times in a row

The Question is ... Do you care about Exynos and synthetic benchmark scores or do you want 4g speed? The Exynos can't do 4g (42meg +) as of yet ..
Is your phone fast enough for you in daily use? <-- This is all that really matters.
Why do people here get so obsessed with benchmark numbers?

Hey just wanted to make a thread for people to post their benchmark screens and maybe we can compare them to GB ROMS and see the difference.
Here are a few screens from the antutu benchmark app

Here's from quadrant
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
I tried out Raver's blackedition ICS port, I would score 3600~ish(1.5Ghz stock) on Quadrant. I flashed back to GB though due to how glitchy the ROM felt to me and lack of wifi calling and flash.
On GB I score around 2800~ stock speeds.
Can't wait for a stable release of ICS. haha
I got around 3800-3900 quadrant on Easydoesit ICS around 3200 on Tuesday GB (my DD).
Scores mean nothing.....don't know why this is even cared about

A fixed version has been out for a few days already man, with the patch already applied to the ROM. I'm running it now and getting 4000's easy.
The ICS ROM updated from stock after 2hours when purchased and switched on.
Here is the benchmark screen seconds after installation:
Second screen is after ~month with lots of apps, games etc installed (but still on Factory Rom)
Ok, so I've came up with the best build.prop tweakz I've ever made.
Beware, I've never tested these because I can't take the chance of bricking my device.
For scrolling speeds:
ro.smoothness.scrollingspeed=3
for battery life:
persist.battery_level=infinite
ro.batterylevel_always=100
For faster 3g:
ro.ril.3gril=yes
I will continue to add to these as I find them. They should work on any ROM (AOSP+Sense). I hope I've helped

The scrolling speed tweak works on sense, not the battery and 3g tweak.

Hi everyone,
Apologies if this is a rehashed question (My thread is two fold... Also to put up my post count!) But I was wondering what kind of 'weight' we can put on a Quadrant score? Is it really a reflection of how good and how fast our smartphone is?
I've used it in the past in trying to determine the best combination between ROM + kernel + OC app, but today by far, I've hit the most I've ever seen on my N7105.
Basically, DN3 v4 (BETA) + AGNi v4.2.1 R3 + 1.9Ghz OC (via AGNi tweaks) = 9211 on quadrant.
I was so happy!
I'm just interested to see what people think about the quadrant rating anyways, and what scores you've achieved.
They dont by any mean reflect the smoothness of the device, this test tests the power of CPU, GPU and ram of the phone. U might have a smooth device and low score and maybe the opposite.

Nice score! I have a friend who said that the Note 3 is a touch over 21st stock as well.
All I know is that the DN3 ROM is butter smooth and my score definitely reflects how good the ROM is. (Quadrant on a stock Note 2 is 6400!) So I'll take those results any day!
Was just wondering how everyone else fared with their scores!
My score on agni kernel
