Hi, Just got the Samsung Epic Touch 4G and the Dock. When the phone is plugged into the Dock, a dock app pops up. For the life of me I don't see this app listed under my list of apps. Can someone please tell me what it is called/where to find it? I would like to uninstall it. Thanks
It's the desk clock, it's in the clock app
Thanks,
Thats what I figured. But, was not sure, as when I opened the clock app it looks different. So must be part of the clock app that only shows up when docked.
Remember you have Dock options in "Settings" for playing through external speakers. I want to grab a dock myself.

yes, I seen that also. As matter fact.. I had the checked. You don't want it checked unless your really playing through external speakers. This morning my alarm never sounded, and that was why.

I sound crazy asking this but is there a way anyone could take the bottom quick action buttons off to where thre isn't anything there. No phone, messaging, internet, gmail icons. I bought this quick wave launcher from the market and it pretty much makes the bottom icons useless. Or is there a launcher that takes as many of them away.

ADW Launcher (maybe it's only an ADW.EX feature, but I really doubt it). There's an option somewhere in it that lets you cut it down to zero spaces and expand the desktop.
I use it I love it
Alternatively, you can set adw to hide the dock with a gesture, in case you want to keep the buttons but dont want to look at them

Thanks guys, I'm obviously a fan of webOS from palm. I'm going to give these a try. Id be happy with just the only thing showing is the app drawer icon.

ADW can do it.
Here's what I do:
I enable the hidden dock bar and have swipe-up bring it up. Then I disable the main dock so I have more desk space. Then I tie the home button to my app drawer. It works really well.
The sgs dock audio fix.apk. does work on ei22. Just in case anybody didn't wanna use samsung's desk home. The desk home. While running era. Beta 4.01. Won't let you pick anything. And of course you can't change the shortcuts either.
Only thing you have to do is search for sgs dock audio fix.apk and it should pop up. It worked for me this morning.

Hi all, New to the note 2 coming from an s3. My question is when I used to dock my s3 it would display a desktop clock and I dont seem to see that feature except for a docking app.
Is there a way to show a clock while it charging?
Never mind, I found it...

Can Pls anybody explain to me how daydream works? I selected run when charger connected but when will it run now? Do I just hav to put phone in standby or what? Thanks in advance

Which options did you choose to run? Like for instance the clock is hardly visible. But to answer your question daydream will start when you connect the charger.
Side note: it slowed down my charge time big-time taking way longer to charge when running daydream.

Why cant they make something like nokia's lockscreen clock that has notifications for received messages and missed calls...
that thing barely uses any battery even when it is always there...at least on nokia's phones that is.

I think he means, like, as a daydream. Dash clock doesn't have a daydream addon. But to answer your question, the purpose of using daydream while charging is so your screen with degrade faster so you'll buy a new phone.
I use to like plugging in my headphones and the music page buddy came up. I wonder why they took it away

I never had much use for it. I keep Google Music, TuneIn Radio and PowerAmp widgets on my music page. I use them as needed.
My issue with page buddy was that it "intelligently" decided what apps to show based on what you used the most frequently (or recently?) while in that mode and didn't give you option to manually add apps to the page.

I never really used Page Buddy on my Note 2. That was partly because I didn't really find it too useful and also because I used Nova launcher, which automatically got rid of Page Buddy since it was a function of the Touchwiz launcher.
Spotify, PowerAmp as music widgets. Nothing else matters.

How are you able to turn these recommend apps off? I can't find this setting and I've been looking, thanks...
I hated page buddy lol. It was the first thing I turned off on my note 2. I was glad that it wasn't on the note 3
Ok for what it matters.....
I could have sworn I froze some kind of page buddy thing with Ti backup.....so after some thought...I went back into Ti backup and sure enough....I froze something called "pagebuddyNotiSvc 1.0" dunno if thats what youre looking for but it is frozen on my note 3.
Peace

im not rooted, but i did disable that as well in application manager. as i recall, when i plugged in my headphones, instead of the full page buddy from the note 2, i got a row of "audio apps" in the notification tray. since turning this off, that has since gone away. not sure what other functions are included with this besides the headphone triggered stuff. useless feature, IMO.

This works - YEAH!
I have disabled the PageBuddyNotiSvc" in Application Manager. I had to also delete the service's cache, then it worked.
Thanks guys!
