I have been around for a while but I guess not longf enough because I have no exact idea what this is and if I need it. I am going to go to a newer Froyo but I would like to know which flavor. Grazi ;-)

Deodexed roms will allow you to apply a completely different theme on your phone. You cannot do that with a odexed roms.

I get it now as every explaination had to do with themeing and I see why. It really has to do with eliminating some interdependencies as well as I see in the first link. I think I will go with the deodexed version as it will have the best chance of hulu running properly, as I have been unable to get it with any of the odexed, now I see a maybe ;-)
i flashed the myn 2.2 warm rom and it was amazing, however i tried to switch to viruses roms and themes and i have encountered all kinds of issues, for instance, flashing the latest airbourn rom i think 10? i can do that works fine, however i try to flash my theme of choice and it just does the new get infected screen for at least 20 minutes before i get fed up and shutoff, i also cannot flash rc1.1 its becoming irritating. i loved the carbon themed version of the very first virus rom and i haven't gotten back to it. also when i flash myns rom i cannot seem to get launcher pro to work properly, and i even flashed the themed one that was available as well. i do not know how to use the titanium backup that well. so if someone could give me some answers in a very very n00b way id be very much obliged.

K, ive searched and tried everything to make the touch wiz launcher work , it keeps telling error donwloading themes, most of the time the themes wont load... then if you try and edit the screen using touch wiz, it has a section on themes, but i cant find any.
\the themes i have found say to flash them, i wipecache and dalvik flash them and reboot and nothing.
currentky running latest blazer rom

Are you sure the themes are compatible with your ROM?
Make sure your using the modded touchwiz. I think it's 4.5. I haven't seen it in a while so I couldn't tell you where to get it. I haven't seen any touchwiz specific themes other than for that version.
Just trying to point you in the right direction, I could be mistaken

No Im not sure if it is compatible with my rom , but blazer didnt mention that it wasn't !
And i actually did find the modded 4.5, it actually showed the themes ,preview as well, but would say error when downloading.
in a mindless moment i moved an old backup, restored, didnt nand, then deleted..wtf i know , it was early i was in a hurry !
So, latest Blazer Rom, when you go, menu,preferences, themes, it shows current theme,choose theme,install theme...
Does that work for anyone ?

I did search and find threads about this, but they didn't answer the question so I thought I'd post again.
I'd like to mod the softkeys, but I don't want to ditch stock because I want to use Jelly Bean when it get's here and not go through the hassle of new roms and reloading data, ect.
I found some old mods from back in Jan/Feb, but I'm not sure if they would still work on 4.0.4.

So Ive been flashing different roms and getting a feel for things and I must say I love the different ways you can customize the notification bar with different battery icons and clock icons... My question is, is it possible to do this on the stock gingerbread rom? I went back to my stock rom from my back up and I Just wanted to know if its possible to flash these kind of things and also maybe flashing certain keyboards instead of downloading from the play store. So yea just wondering if its possible.
