anyone giving away stylus?

i recently lost my stylus, but I can't buy another one because there where i live there is no shops selling Uni accessories.so if anyone would give away their stylus i'd be very thankful

now reset your device 2 times and your done

Screen problem please help!!!

Hi,
I have an gel case on my desire and when i drop it either nothing happens to it or it will switch off and ill turn on and it works. today i dropped it in the house and the screen went blank, the screen isn't broke and the touch screen is working but the display is black ?

Assuming you're from Europe, according to EU law:
"Article 5
Time limits
1. The seller shall be held liable under Article 3 where the lack of conformity becomes apparent within two years as from delivery of the goods. If, under national legislation, the rights laid down in Article 3(2) are subject to a limitation period, that period shall not expire within a period of two years from the time of delivery."
Check if your country adopted this. It should, cause afaik it's pretty farking old...

thanks yes i live in the UK but the phone wasn't sent i bought it from the shop on contract a year ago, so i go back to phoens4u would they be able to sent it back according to this law?

I think so, but you'll have to show them that you know the law and all, and you're not likely to get fooled, then i guess they'll behave
Btw: delivery by the way it's meant there is just the moment when you get your hands on the good, it has nothing to do with shipping afaik.

Cool so I will go to phones4u tomorrow tell them I need a repair and show them these if they say no and can you give me a link to.it so I can print it off

theres a thread in the general desire forum about the warranty getting void, well it is worth a try better than nothing i guess...
do you know where i can get that law that was mentioned before??
and also my phone has been repaired once by them would my warranty get renewed form that date ?

Bought one on ebay from sonicpromo. I will give it to the person who tells me exactly how to use these things, and I will even pay shipping. All you have to do is put credits on it.

then use alpharev to root.

Honestly I dont even think this is gonna be needed in the next week or so. Either they are going to find out how to root it or someone will go the easy route and figure a way to go back to froyo without S-Off. So you can use Alpharev then.

Yeah I held off on buying it, my impatience always comes back to bite me so I decided to wait it out. I know I'd be pissed if I bought this and they released a method one to two weeks from now.

Mine took about 7 days, can't remember exactly but that does include a weekend as well. Alpharev released their s-off two days after I ordered it so I didn't need it and didn't keep track...lol

see now this could be the start of a great movement for our forum here. someone buys the xtc clip, uses it, sends to to the next person, they use it, they send it to the next person in line....see what im getting at here? all you have to do is pay for shipping and the credit.
Of course all it would take is one Dbag to mess the whole thing up.
But it would definently be one hell of a community movement. The whole inc2 community helping each other out to have everyone on root.
who knows.....its a damn fine idea though.

Yes sir (ATT). Like yours, it's already in route. Gonna get to the shop early tomorrow with anticipation... And fingers crossed that we can unlock it at HTC Dev. Last two ATT HTC phones have been unlockable...Hopefully its just the Verizon that is locked down.

Glad to hear that! Service rep told me it would ship between the 28th and 4th of next month, i got a UPS tracking number about an hour later, its currently on its way i cant wait!!. Yea im hoping its not blocked from htcdev. but if it is, i dont think we need to worry much as it looks like alot of devs are buying the device and there is also s-off work being done as well. Firewater may possibly work but it has a different SoC so firewater will have to be adjusted for that. So I dont think we will be locked down very long if htcdev dont work

How can I tell what region a phone is from?

I'm going to checkout a BNID HTC 10 in a couple of hours, and I want to quickly check that its region is Canada/USA (and he's not selling me an Asian and Euro variant). Is there a quick way to do that?
Also, any other recommendations on what I should look at before I give the guy my cash?

Boot to download mode and check what os it is.
