[Q] how do i check if the Bootloader is unloced/locked?

hi every body.
say i want to check if the bootloader is unlocked, how can i do it?
i read a little, and it has somthing to do with the fastboot and the comand "fastboot devices".
i said "the bootloader" and not "my bootloader" because myin is allready open-did it with some guide.
but my friend what to know if his bootloader is open or not, how can this be done?

it dosent do anything. i write it from the left to the right.

In the dialpad? Which ROM are you using?
If you're using CM or MiUI, you won't see it, but your BL is definitely unlocked.
Why I should post it when it'd be for X10, but anyway it's a generally SE/Sony menu.

as i said in the first post, its not for me, but for my friend.

say, what does it exactly say?
and which to choose?
after typing it in, i get;
-model info
-software info
-SIM lock
-configuration
where to go exactly and what would it say to know BL is unlocked?

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* . Then go to -> "Service Info" -> "Configuration". If there is:
Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes << this means that your Bootloader is Locked
Bootloader Unlocked - Yes << this means that your bootloader is unlocked

best way to check it is with S1TOOL. Just identify your phone. If it gives device id with captial its unlocked (if i dont remember wrong). You can also try to hotboot a kernel with CWM to see if it works
code:
fastboot boot FILENAME.img | FILENAME is the name of the img file (kernel)
if it gives blue led on boot its unlocked

[Q] Helping Unlocking Bootloader

Hello XDA, I've got a rooted Xperia Play running the Xperia NXT ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649368). I would like to unlock the bootloader and boot into fastboot mode but when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* and check the Bootloader status, I see "Bootloader unlock allowed: No". I've heard there is a way around this, could someone help me? I'd love to install the doom ICS kernel on my phone and a new ROM. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Phone is AT&T, R800i, and I also know what my IMEI number is

im on a r800i on gin2ics rom with a locked bootloader everytime i enter this *#*#7378423#*#* it brings me to my call log its locked to telstra can someone please help me i really want to overclock

The service menu for that rom is in the addon section>system related folder>servicemenu.zip. Install it via recovery n that code should take u to the service menu.

[Q] enable fastboot

hey there, ive got an arc s which is carrier locked, and so i cant enter fastboot mode for unlocking the bootloader. so my question is, is there anyway to enable fastboot ?
i know there is a threat ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037874 )
but i cant find the solution in it. pls help me...

Bootloader unlock

Hey guys, it's me again and I want to ask you guys. Is there another to unlock the bootloader for the Xperia S? I tried the dialer method which is to dial *#*#7378423#*#* to open the service menu but that didn't work. Second, i tried to use the bootintofastboot.bat using ADB but that didn't work. Please help me. BTW my Xperia S runs on Android 6.0. And also, how do you run NEED FOR SPEED:No Limits on Xperia S? Mine keeps exiting when the EA and the Monkey logo appears on the screen.

If You are on ROM based on Android 6.0 in Xperia S, then Your phone is bootloader unlocked.
