Hello-
I was wondering if anyone knew of any company that made any gold replacement back covers for the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2. I am looking for a really obnoxious cover to replace the stock one. Even an obnoxious case would do but I'm having a hard time finding anything like that. Any tips?
Thanks Community

get it gold plated. yeah you can plate plastic now. put some clearcoat over it cus the gold is only a few microns thick.
Just wait till the mall stands start carrying cases for this phone. There's sure to be plenty of godawful ones to choose from.

my wife wants. to lay swarovski crystals on her phone.
she wants to do it in. a way it can be undone.
best idea I have at the moment is to purchase a zagg tablet screen protector and have it cut at a sign shop to specifically fit the battery cover.
(ive tried cutting these before and the.rubbery texture makes it near impossible to get a perfect cut).
looking for ideas on the feasibility of this idea and/or alternatives.
want to get the cover done plus crystals for a stocking stuffer.
maybe just buy an extra battery cover and use some kind of adhesive? not exactly sure what u are trying to do but it sounds like that may work.

Anyone know were i can buy battery cover door for sprint samsung galaxy s2 epic 4g ?
I am looking for different colors back or aluminum .. I see them on ebay but none says sprint epic 4g ?
will these fits or not ?
thanks
I like to have a spare OEM battery cover just in case mine breaks a tab or something.
The last one I saw was sold on Ebay for $18.50.
I haven't looked for one in a couple of weeks, but they were not readily available
anywhere.
I'll try looking again.
If it doesn't say it's for the SE4GT for Sprint, it won't fit, and/or won't have the proper script on it.
Thanks - wish they can make them for sprint epic 4g there are so many for the other version..
Thanks will see if my local sprint store have any ....
I'd like to know this too. Love the phone, hate the build quality. A snazzy soft touch or aluminum battery door / case would be rad.
Regarding the build quality, that may just be perception, and not reality.
It may feel flimsy because it is light, and not made of titanium and other exotics.
But if you think about it, it's got to be made to withstand every day happenings, which I feel it does.
Why can't they make aluminum doors for s2 epic ? there are millions for ATT and T mobile but non for epic 4g
They should make it compatible for certain hardware like doors - batteries - etc
Just found the stock OEM Battery cover over HERE

The price ain't bad compared to other prices I've seen, and it's always good to have a spare laying around.

Ebay has att s2 for $4 - $8 range..
If you want to change the look of your battery cover you could pick up a sample of 3M Di-Noc off of eBay. Check out a couple of videos on YouTube about the stuff.
I'm also wanting an aluminum battery cover, maybe a carbon fiber weave...

Sorry 3M Di-Noc off?????? huh? can u explain....
3M Di-Noc... think of it as a bad ass phone skin. Its primary use is on import tuner cars to give practically any surface a carbon fiber texture and feel. Multiple colors and super easy to work with. They warranty the stuff in automotive applications against fade and adhesion. Seriously there are many clips on YouTube of people playing with thus stuff.

Does anyone know of any custom battery covers? or back plates? I'd really like to get a collegiate one or perhaps one that is a custom color and design via an uploaded jpg. I know there are things like skinit etc. but I figure this is a pretty simple piece of plastic right? Couldn't be that hard to replicate and customize.
any thoughts?

Find someone who does vinyl wraps. Have them print something small and just wrap it.
clarification
just to clarify I am looking for an actual battery cover replacement. Not a skin or a case.
thanks
Vinyl
I hadn't thought of a vinyl wrap like that. That's a great idea! :good:
I really want to get an actual replacement cover... but if I cannot find anything soon that might be my alternative.
I bought I carbon fiber back from eBay search in china japan they have them.

You can get just the plain Samsung cover. They can be found for $8 for a pretty nice one. I finally found one that fits right. I can find you the link. Keep the new one as a back up replacement and use the old one wrapped. Since the rep I found has the Samsung cut out. I can post pics and stuff when I get home. I know they would do cases before battery covers.
I'd like to get a wallet cover like the "Twelve South Bookbook for iPhone" (cant post link) for my Galaxy Nexus. Any suggestions?
I guess you could go with something like this
http://www.amazon.ca/iTALKonline-Ex...DGXG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352326895&sr=8-2
Get that in a not disgusting color and I'm sold!

Nah, that doesn't look like a book at all. I want something deceiving that looks like quality.
i would get this if it didnt have the clasp on the side of it.

Still not quite what I'm looking for, but it was a nice suggestion. I agree about the clasp issue though.
You could always just cut the clasp off. If you're lucky its stitched in on the back and you can just cut it along the stitching. Usually works out pretty good - like cutting sleeves off of a t-shirt.
I don't like these types of cases because they block the front LED indicator which is nice as I keep my phone on silent/vibrate most of the day.
I found this http://goo.gl/WPsP1 for the S3 and i think i'm gonna buy it for my SGN. The S3 and SGN have almost similar size (with a few millimeters diference) and i think i can modify the case for my phone. All i need to do is cut the leather that's holding the phone in place and glue a hard case. Then the only thing to do is make the camera hole a little bigger and hide the two other holes with some cool decorations or something.
Will post back if i do continue with my plan.
I always wondered how you take pictures with the covers. Do you have to just let the cover dangle? My mom has an S3 and I won't buy her the cover/case for this reason.

Probably yes, no other options from what i can see.
Also, IMPORTANT UPDATE, i found this case http://goo.gl/Mv8Ys from ioffer.com (i've been a customer there for a long time and trust them) and i asked if they have the case without the holes for the camera at the back. They answered yes, so i'm gonna buy the case from them and use it for my SGN.
I just cant wait for it to arrive. I'll update when i receive it.
Does the S3 cases fit to SGN?
No, but you can easily cut the S3 case down and glue a SGN one in place.
You just need to be carefull.
Hello!
My dear Galaxy S III had an accident lately, it fell down on the concrete and now it has a lot of scratches and scuffs on the back cover. I am so disappointed, I purchased it only a few days ago and now it looks very messed up. It was my big mistake because I didn't mount a case from the first second I put my clumsy hands on it.
So beware: It's very risky to use the S III without a case, that glossy plastic is very vulnerable when it hits something and it will become badly scratched very easily.
Right now I want to replace the back cover with an aftermarket one. I searched on the Samsung site and I don't seem to find one for S III. I want to buy one presented as OEM, from other sites and I want to know if some of you tried a case like that? It is really like the genuine one? The same aspect, the same quality of the material. I would be very thankful if you could share your opinions with me concerning this problem.
Cheers and take good care of your phones!
Here you go bud!

Thanks a lot for your suggestion mate!
I am curious to know, did you buy any of these cases, I would like to hear some opinions, if they are the same as the genuine one.
I am a little skeptical in just trusting what the seller says, that's why I am trying to check if someone has some experiences with that kind of products.
I just bought this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Housing...320?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337c476af8
Got it the other day and as far as I can tell it's 100% genuine; not cheap looking/feeling at all, the Samsung logo looks and feels exactly like the OEM. And he shipped it really fast too. I'd highly recommend this one.
