i just bought a xperia arc two weeks ago..originaly came from 2.3.3 firmware.when i plug in to the pc ..SE Software says there is new update availabe called 2.3.4 . should i update it ?? is there any deferent between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 . is there any side effects ? please let me know all the details + faults ???

Google for uberoid hybrid v6.2 .. you'll get lots of info and guide on how to upgrade the firmware up to the latest 1.3.0/1.3.1. I have one of these made in china 7" MID and after flashing uberoid .. feels more responsive. (adobe flash works too)

Hii guys, i m new to this forum .this is first post. Last week i got motorola defy which is my 1st android mobile. I accept that i m completely noob when it comes to android platform. I came from Nokia 6600, 5230 n now on Defy.
i have several problem with defy
I want to connect internet to my pc through defy but it can't. I also tried enable n disable internet tethering but it not working.
Also i got my defy preloaded with 2.2 froyo. i googled abot defy n i found some rooting, flashing, cm7,etc
I don't know much about rooting ,flashing,roms
But i want to know and i also want to best performance from my defy. My friend from fb suggested xda dev. Site tats im here to get help from u guys.

I have lots of experence with android phones. And I found the defy very different to the others in the way you flash.
I use cm7 myself and its very good for daily use. There are a few YouTube videos you can watching showing the process.
so read and watch as much as you can wait a week if you still feel you wanna do it, read some more and go for it.

Yesterday my arc received an OTA 2.3.4 (with 4.0.1.A.0.283)
I can see that 3D-thing is new.
But what more is new? Does someone know?
I mean, doenst 2.3.4 handle much about front cam and so on? So whats needed for my arc with this?

Ok, how many does accutally have a 3D-tv?
Arc doesnt seem faster here. But I noticed in app drawer, there is small icons in folder now.
But the screenshot thing is nice. Soon iOS and Android has all same features.
Android has many more features than iOS!
Ios will soon copy Androids features. :-(

Hi, I update mi Arc S to 4.0.4 ICS but I found a ICS is very slow and didn´t work GPS. So I downgrade to GB, phone is working good, bud one day later it start lagging and I could not do anything. Did you have a similar problem or anyone know where it could be wrong? Thanks for answers. Excuse my English, i´m from Slovakia

For the best ics performance. Update your phone. Turn it off. Turn it on. Repair with pc companion.
Mine is fast and lagg free. I did as i wrote

Update to the new Sony ICS update " 4.1.B.0.587 " and there shouldn't be any lags.

Ya bro. I have too received it. But i had waited for it for a long time. I am going to take my chances. In worst case you could roll back to your previous firmware

Yes Kaushik, I have previous few firmware, so I don't worry abt to roll back, just wanna see if anyone update the KitKat!
I want result of latest update, Like: Lagging/stuck, Battery drain issue, GPS, Playstore, etc etc...

I want to inform you that I updated Kitkat .230 on my device, (via OTA, not by PC) and everything working fine, Camera, Playstore, Battery, and no lagging or stuck issue, I use my phone one day(Including wifi, 3g,2g, games, fb, whats*pp, etc etc,) The main I see is Call clearity is better then before, phn speed lil better, so I only say is Latest version is working well for me, So I want to hear from you rest,

I just updated my zl to leatest android 4.4.2 kitkat via ota and reset to factory.....its totally lagging on home screen,on setting.....even i can't able play game,its lagging like hell....
Please help how to fix....
Only good thing is battery is not getting drained infact its better than 4.3

Updated to kitkat (...230) via OTA . Everything works fine in my mobile . Application screen and homescreen transitions are much faster and smoother compared to jellybean (..101) . Seems that even settings screen lag is fixed. Not so happy about battery life compared to (..101).But not that bad.
