[Q] Error while trying to apply lates OTA Update on Desire Z

Hy,
yesterday i tried to apply the lates OTA Update for my desire Z (rooted, s-off, OC Kernel), but Clockwork Recovery only says "Signature verification failed".
Can anyone help me?
(sorry for my english...)

Stock updates will not work with a custom recovery. You either have to flash back to stock and sacrifice root or find a custom ROM based on the newest build.
I don't have a G2, I'm just browsing through this section reading about it, but that's the way it works on my Nexus with clockwork. Flashing back to stock might be dangerous if the newest build hasn't been exploited and rooted.
Also, make sure you post in the correct section next time. This doesn't belong in development; it should be in Q&A. I'm sure a mod will move it for you this time though.

Instaling OTA = error
I had the same problem S-OFF and 1,42 GHz, no way to install that update. I had to flash stock ROM and then it worked fine. Now running 1.72.405.2 no overclock

Maybe when applying the update you need to in clockworkmod turn sing verification off and after that select update.zip

Same error but with Desire HD. I've replaced stock rom, update still not possible

I agree.. stock ota updates are hardly ever good. Cyanogenmod and others will be updated WAY before 2.3 gingerbread will be pushed ota. Most uptates my ota verizon friends get take superuser from them. Making them reroot all over again. Big brother bad.... sorry.

[Q] [Resolved] How I can apply OTA without flash HBOOT ?

Hi all !
I have just download the latest OTA for my Desire Z (OTA_Vision_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2_42_405_2-1_82_405_1_R_release_199251k3r3wb3a4l4wniec.zip).
I have opend it, and into I have a firmware.zip, contain "hboot_7230_Vision_HEP_0.85.0013_110411.nb0".
I think, if I continue with the normal steps, it's flash my hboot, and loose my S-OFF.
I want to apply this OTA by hand, I have test with ClockWorkMod 3.0.2.4 and I have this error :

5) If you are parano, like me, remove firmware.zip on top of the archive.
6) Run ClockWorkMod, and apply zip.
7) go in fastboot

I have a problem like that, but with Desire Z (bootloader unlocked on HTCDev.com, rooted, CWM installed).
When I try to install "OTA_Vision_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.42.405.4-2.42.405.2_release_258556lmz8pa872xa8ocgl" CWM returns me "Status 7 - Installation aborted". No way to do it.
You think your solution applies to me too?!
Could I edit script file the same way?
What do you mean with:

no your problem is you dont have true s-off
find nipqer's guide on how to remove the htc unlocked bootloader as it mostly a waste of time
then root the proper way and all is well

I was trying to install a new update (the cm7.2 fxp 116) but it failed and now my phone won't boot...
i've tried to install the fxp113 image and then apply that update, but I keep getting this message:

It continues to write a lot of these, all with == "LT18i" and "LT18a", but then a couple of lines down, it starts to write == "LT15i" instead...
Finally, it gives me an error saying "E:Error in /sdcard/A-IMAGES/cm72fxp113/update-cm-7.2.0-RC1-anzu-KANG-signed_fxp113.zip"

open the cm7.zip file, and go META-INF/com/Google/android/
and open update-script file with notepad++
delete the line

I restored from an older backup, downloaded the file again (and again...) and got a working file.

dude go to META-INF/com/google/android and extract updater-script of the zip file (u downloaded i.e ROM )and open extracted updater-script with Notepad++(for download notepad++ google it) there after delete first three line and save.there after zip it to the rom(META-INF/com/google/android) from where u extracted

Did you try with CWM 6?
I had this problem with CWM 5 so i used the boot.img in the RAR of the cyanogenmod i.e. extracted it to android tools folder
then used the command
fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img
fastboot -i 0xfce reboot
So it booted on CWM 6 and installation was done without any issues.
If you want to reproduce the problem, try installing CM10 with CWM 5.

What version of CWM to use so i can install FXP137?
5.0.2.7 , 5.5.0.4 or 6.0.1.0 and from where to download it and install it for Neo V (MT11i - haida)? I understand that 5.0.2.7 is for GB, 5.5.0.4 works with ICS and now i see that 6 is recommended for JB... Please advise me, it will be helpfully if you give me a link, i have search on a lot of threads and read all this NoobGuide but the version presented is 5.0.2.7 also i have rooted and unlocked my bootloader using testpoint method.
