Market keeps force closing for me. As soon as I get to what I want to download and click install it force closes and goes back to the home screen.
Using latest market version, stock deodex rom. Just started happening randomly since yesterday. Anyone got any ideas?
From home screen click menu - settings - applications - manage applications - select "all " at the top - scroll to market and click - click clear data.
Should help.

IMHO the new market has been full of bugs since its release. Takes forever to load on start up every time I open it. Half tempted to go back to the previous release.

Hi
I have this problem for a week now with my market app. At first I notice that when I open market app in top of window there are only 2 apps(see on picture...big red circle) insted of 8 or 10. Than all apps(pics) are gone and I notice that my app button is no longer same...now its just triangle intstad arrow and when I goes to my apps there are some apss instaleted on my fone missing and its doesnt shown there but there are in market when I looking for them and its show they are instaleted. And there are only 5 icons on buttom(orange circle on pic). Does any one have same problem or know how to fix it?
I try to uninstall updates, clear cach,data...and doesnt work.

I have the same problem too.
Sometimes even, there are no apps on the market carousel but i can live with out that.
The problem is that My Apps is missing several of the applications i have on the phone, when i search for the missing apps through the market they display installed or update if its available.
The second problem is that if i go to the Just in section and press anywhere i get the force close pop up and it brings me back to the previous screen.
I have tried clearing the cache and data but it didn`t help, then i uninstalled the updates and the problems where gone but after the market updated itself the same problems reappeared.
I am runing a stock 2.2.1 with LauncherPro.
Oh and yes I have searched the net but couldn`t find any help.
Hey everyone here its not a problem actually you might have installed application which are not available for your region or you might have installed cracked applications thats y market doesn't show that.
No that is not the case here. All of apps except one were installed from the market.
I can`t see for example 3g watchdog,Angry birds,Desktop Visualizer,Shazaam... among others and it still wouldn`t explain the force close issue.
Update:
Well the market sorta fixed itself, well almost, since i still have the force close issue when i try to tap in the Just in section.
All of the downloaded apps are now listed in My apps, the market carousel is working properly and only the force close issue remains.
Any ideas anyone??
My market app fixed itself...yesterday I open it and its normal again.
hey all,
so almost every time i try to post a picture with the facebook app, here's what happens:
- i get 3 notification icons showing the picture uploading
- one of them finishes, the other 2 get stuck at 20% and 40% (sometimes different even amounts, but usually its 20 and 40)
- on facebook, the picture gets posted TWICE (not 3 times, not once, but twice)
- the completed upload notification icon can be cleared but the other 2 can't (touching them brings you into the facebook app but doesn't clear them)
- the other 2 stay, even if i force close the facebook app. the only way i can find to get rid of them is to reboot the phone.
this happens 9 times out of 10 when i upload a pic. i've tried from the camera app right after taking a pic, from the gallery with existing pics, and from the facebook app (attaching a pic to a status update).
i'm using bulletproof miui (the newest version, and i update every week and clear my cache when updating). this also happened before i switched to bulletproof on cyanogen stable. i don't think it happened back when i was not rooted and just on stock, but it's been a while and i don't really remember, i just know for sure its happened on both bulletproof miui and cyanogen.
any ideas?
thanks
David
Are u restoring a backup (ie titanium) or are u jusr reinstalling the app? Have u tried force closing the app and clearing data/cache (settings>applications>manage applications)?
What about a fix_permissions?

I've had a couple of issues with the app switcher / recent apps (most bottom right button)
When an app is busy downloading data and you switch from the home-screen or another app back to the app that's downloading the data (using the app switcher) the app seems to do a reset. This causes the download to cancel and restart from scratch.
I've had this issue when downloading the game ShadowGunTHD. It was downloading 700 meg, I switched apps and went back to the downloading app and it reset the download forcing it to start again from 0 %
The same issue with MyBackupPro: I was downloading my backed-up SMS (took a long time), I switched to and back again and the download stopped and started from scratch again.
Is this a known ICS bug or is the App-switcher a pure HTC feature?
Anyone had similar issues?

I experience exactly the same thing with My Backup pro and Britannica encyclopaedia (while downloading its data) on my Sensation on both InsertCoin and.AOSP ROMs. I'm inclined to believe that it's a programming issue peculiar to some apps but not others. Ex. Titanium will continue its batch jobs in the background, the same for TubeMate whose downloads continue even when you switch away.
Cheers
Order and Chaos works fine switching back and forth.
I am getting a bug it seems in the play store. Sometimes it will show an app's download page but it will get stuck in a constant refresh of that page. For instance I was downloading a 45mb game and it went to the download page of the previous app and continuously refresh. As long as the play store app is open it jumps to that screen no matter where I go in the play store. All I can do is go back to the home screen and wait for the download to finish. Anyone else having this issue?

yep
this happened to me yesterday
Yeah. I've seen this happen a few times too. Annoying.
I was going to post and ask if anyone had a work around for this annoying bug but searched first and saw it was already mentioned. Is this a 4.3 thing or is it N7.2 specific?
Hi guys, I never posted here but am trying to find some help. I've had my S4 for quite a while now, and I just factory reset everything because I kept getting a "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." message that wouldn't go away or let me use my phone without an interruption literally every 2 seconds. But before I even had that problem, there were worse problems as well. There are two things that occur frequently:
1. Sometimes, when I tap on an icon, the indicator light shows up (a glow around the icon), but the app itself does not open. Then, if i tap on it repeatedly, nothing happens. I can temporarily fix this problem by opening up the recent/opened apps list (holding home button) and clearing everything (or clicking on that app if it had been opened). Once cleared, I can tap it again and it would open. As you might see, this can get very annoying and troublesome after doing it so many times. Is there anyway I can permanently fix this so that I don't need to keep clearing the open apps list?
2. Sometimes, when I unlock my screen, exit an app, press the home button, or clear the opened app list (as mentioned above), my wallpaper changes to an app. The app is usually random and sometimes is not one that I had opened. For example, the background of my messaging app or Astro File Manager would show up even if I had not recently opened it at all. I can also temporarily fix this by clearing the recent/opened apps list (as mentioned in #1). After clearing this, the wallpaper resets. Is there any way I can fix this permanently as well?
3. Snapchat and VSCO Cam constantly "stop unexpectedly". I don't know if this is a firmware or incompatibility issue, but it usually works fine. This message pops up once in a while and isn't too burdensome, but is still quite annoying.
Thank you for all the help in advance. I am trying to get the most out of my phone and appreciate any help.
Are you running stock or custom and has anything changed since you factory reset?

It's stock right now. Not rooted or anything at all. I didn't really change much of the device internally, only downloaded a couple of apps, but those have been working fine since the beginning. It is running Kit Kat, 4.4.2. I am currently using Nova Launcher as my home screen replacement.
