can someone help me? after i installed the cm7 i tried to flash the lt18i ftf file from here and it made the phone stuck on SE boot loop. so i tried to do the second step again (reinstall the kernal + updates) but it made him stuck on free xperia project logo.
what to do?

Hi,
There is such post in Dev forum, but it was never answered... I have ArcS with FXP45 on it, but didn't flash SEMC 4.0.2.A.0.42 rom before flashing this one... Now I have high battery drain and found that this SEMC version fixes it. Can I now flash it and then go back to CM7?

I'm running ICS 4.0.4 on my Sony arc (LT15i) with the firmware arc 4.1.b.0.431...
I'm fighting all day with the issue. I'm trying to flash this MIUI version.
First I flashed and rooted the custom ROM with these instructions
Everything was OK
I installed CWM (the newest I got), flashed MIUI, but after restarting the system the only thing I get to see is SONY logo...
Please help me someone...

No, it was just that I used the wrong kernel - but it works now... but unfortunately, see my post here
hey guys i have a problem regarding to the touch screen of my xperia play after flashing it to cm9 home button and menu button is not working..lower part of the screen not working but the upper part is working
and also its stucked on safe mode.. does anyone here can help regarding this.

i think i flashed the wrong one.. is there any way bringing it back to 2.3.7?
Try flashing the kernel from the FXP152 rom.

im using doomkernel now.. and my phone is on stock rom 2.3.2 but still no luck..
my friend told me to upgrade it to cm9 but i dont know how.. is there any guide here installing cm9 on my phone?

Your suppoosed to be on 2.3.4 firmware before installing cm9 or cm10 rom. Use flashtool to flash firmware. Then on fastboot flash cm9 kernel later boot your device and enter recovery in cwm and wipe all caches. Then install cm zip in cwm.

Ok so today ive been trying to update my phones firmware from 2.3.3 GBTweak to 4.0.4 ics zeus rom for r800x and yes I have a unlocked bootloader. And today I install the things in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781677 like the lupus kernel and the modules and Aroma manager and after installing them my phone wont bootup even after past the Lupus screen. I can get into fast/flashboot mode and the recovery menu but it wont go past the lupus screen. Can someone help me with this please. I hope my sony xperia play r800x isnt bricked for good.
Is there any other kernels i can use in place of lupus? PLZZZ HELP

If your kernel screen comes up then its not bricked. Just flash the stock ftf. Search for it as r800x stock 2.3.3 ftf. Download flash tool and flash it with that. Its self explanatory. Also Zeus is for r800i you need to use zeusc though it should still have booted (only service wouldn't work). After flashing ftf try again and make sure you clear data/cache/dalvik and format system from recovery before installing. Also it might just take a a couple minutes to boot. Don't worry about bricking the play. Flash tool will fix almost all software problems. Usually the only way to mess it up is physically.

I have Arc S 4.1.B.0.587 ICS rooted...I installed CWM using X-Parts and made a back up
then i flashed a rom using CWM befor flashing the kernal and now i am stuck with the sony logo
i used flashtool to flash a kernal and i have a msg says that my phone is not rooted
any help pls??...how can i go back to the stock??? Is flashing lt18 4.1.b.0.587 generic global will solve the problem??
PS: I tried to flash the backup using flashtool and thisis what i got

If your bootloader is unlocked you don't need X-Parts, if it isn't and you've wiped data then yes, you need to flash a stock ftf, which is what you should have tried already, then start over and when you get back into CWM, flash your backup.

I was updating my xperia arc s to a new rom
I found this perfect (SUPER JELLY BEAN 5.5) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2134257
and after I unlocked bootlader and copy all the files to phone memory
I flash the kernel (fusion kernel 5.4) using flashtool (latest version)
and it flashed successfully but after that when I was tring to boot to recovery ...
I can't find it and the phone is damaged right now
But I still have access to flashtool
Please help me with full details (I don't understand some issues)

Remove and insert battery... Turn on...as soon as you see logo start pressing vol down button... That will take you to recovery... From there flash rom...

It seems half of the problem has been solved
I downloaded LT18i_4.1.B.0.587.ftf sized 373.97Mb and I flash it ...
now I have (Android version : 4.0.4 / kernel version : 2.6.32.9-perf / Build number : 4.1.B.0.587)
and the root has been removed and I also can't access recovery mode
but I didn't like the version because it is slow and the Wi-Fi network disconnects a lot
I want a clean Rom/Kernel/recovery for Xperia arc s (I prefer Performance and extended battery life)
I want the easiest way because I don't want to fall in mistakes again

Hi, noob here, first post on xda, hope this helps
i had the same problem, trying to intall superjellybean 6 and fusion 5.4 kernel from the rom thread on my unlocked BL rooted ArcS with XperiaUltimateHD and Lupus kernel. Got stuck on fusion kernel logo after flashing it following the guide in superjellybean thread. I think the problem come from flashing a JB kernel on a ICS rom.
Mine is working now (notice that is unlocked BL), this is what i've done
flash via flashtool the LT18i_4.1.B.0.587_(1254-2184), then oneclick root the device again using Eroot_v1.3.4 from this thread.
using flashtool flash a lupus ics kernel for having the CWM back.
reboot to CWM recovery and do the wipes and flash the zips Superjellybean 6 and google apps, on the ics kernel. the device still won't boot.
from flashtool reboot to fastboot mode and flash a JB kernel (i used Lupus jb).
reboot and good luck
