I found information about the epic on this issue but not the epic touch. I have a lot of lag when I turn the screen sideways and when I turn it back. It take 2-4 seconds for the screen to change. I know it does it much faster as I have seen it on other ET's. I have calibrated it and it still has the lag. Any ideas what might be causing it that I can fix?
I really wonder if this will be improved with hardware acceleration via ICS update when that happens.
This is frustrating me more than the infrequent LOS that I have. It doesn't matter what launcher I use. I have tried the touchwiz, ADW EX, SPB Shell 3D, and LauncherPro. They all have a horrible lag when going from portrait to landscape. Now here is the other part of the mystery. If I go to gallery and open a picture, it switches from portrait to landscape really quickly as long as I am viewing the picture. When I back out it is back to the same old lag.
I had the same issue. I fixed it by doing the horizontal calibration in the display settings. Now my lag is at Max 1 sec.

I have done that and it speeds it up for a few hours and then the lag is back again.
Rotation lag isn't an issue for me, I have the opposite...the phone likes to rotate around anytime I tilt it at all. Very irritating. I just keep rotation locked so I don't have to deal with it.

as the title stated I been having random reboots when using the camera but not all the time and it's a very random chance like 40 percent. I used the camera quite often on my first galaxy 2 but exchange at do to screen issues ( vertical lines).
basically what I want to know is if anyone else has experienced this before I ask for another replacement.
its random as I can just open up the camera app or I can be switching from back camera to front camera or just going from gallery back to camera and have it lock then appear to reboot then stay on a black screen which requires me to remove the battery.
so far on this phone I've had the issue on eagles blood and on beast. it happened on the stock kernel and on jugs.. I'll be testing the other one out later. I really do not desire to go flashing back to stock so I was just at hoping on other people's experiences.
I just get a feeling it's not necessarily software because everyone would have the issue with the roms.
could anything in the camera hardware be causing it to work sometimes but then freak out on others?
lastly what does anyone recommend I do the moment that this reboots and locks o that I can get a proper read out for the developers?
sorry for the lack of some capitalization and punctuation because I am speaking this on my phone.
Another thing ive noticed on melvins beast rom is that after reboot some settings get reverted..like brightness settings( they go back to auto)
TL;DR : WHEN USING CAMERA APP THE PHONE REBOOTS SOMETIMES.

I've read descriptions and watched videos of the flickering issues, and haven't come across what I'm seeing on my phone. It's flickering but not so much of the screen as the elements being displayed, and only in certain situations.
I will take a screenshot next time, but I've found an easy fix for now, in case anyone else is experiencing this issue.
On the home screen while scrolling, icons and widgets will glitch. Either the background will flicker and disappear, or the foreground image or the whole damn thing disappears and reappears. The background also flickers. Will happen in app drawer too. It's happened in multiple launchers.
I've also noticed this happening in the camera app when scrolling through the effects dropdown.
My fix: power down, pull battery.
So far so good. I'm not sure what causes the problem, but I did install new apps right before the glitch began. Uninstalling these apps does not help. Disabling HW overlays and other GPU options doesn't help.
Anyone ever have anything similar?

reflash your rom. If problem persists, flash stock rom. If problem still persists, clear all traces of root and send it in for repair.

I found the real culprit causing this issue:
Display > Auto adjust screen tone
Once this was turned off this problem completely disappeared.
I use swiftkey keyboard and sometimes it seems to start lagging. I'll type too fast for it to catch up and it's quite annoying. Other times it's perfect and very responsive. It seems like it starts happening randomly. I thought it could be a ram issue but a couple times it's started happening I've closed all apps and cleared ram and it doesn't fix it. I even cleared swiftkey cache. Any ideas? I should mention I type pretty fast.
Two diagnostic questions:
(1) When Switfkey starts lagging, do you also get a lag in the sound-feedback on the stock phone dialer?
(2) Does the Swiftkey delay go away if you turn off sound-feedback for typing?

You mean does the typing sound lag as well or just the sound if I open up the phone app and dial to make a call?
I did a lot of research last night about this and found others with the same problem... Someone said that if you clear your clipboard from the settings in your keyboard the lag goes away.. I did that last night and the keyboard has never felt father. How come that would cause it to start lagging?
Nope, the lag doesn't go away even if I have sound and vibration off. The only thing that seems to have made a huge difference is clearing the clipboard. I don't think it's placebo because it literally hasn't went into lag mode a single time since I did that.
Also, when it would go into lag mode, the keyboard lag wasn't too terrible ever in the messaging app built into the phone however facebook messenger, kik, and Google search were pretty horrible.
After more research I found more posts. Someone said having accessibility option enabled for nova launcher is causing this. I took about 10 screen shots and my keyboard immediately started lagging again. I cleared clipboard and lag fixed. I then disabled nova accessibility, took 10 screen shots, and it DID NOT LAG even with all of those in clipboard. I'm now convinced it's nova launcher causing this issue....

So what did you do Nova launcher?
I'm experiencing random screen rotation in games on custom roms. The screen flips upside down even if I don't flip the phone. I notice that this also happens when I'm shaking the phone lightly. MIUI seems to be fine though. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have the same problem, don't remember how it was on MIUI, but there is still no fix and people don't seem to be bothered although there were more of them with this same issue.
Hello!
My phone has been left aside for several months because of a ghost touch problem, recently I had the screen replaced in order to fix the problem, but now I have a problem with choppy scrolling animations. The screen seems to be running fine at 60hz (refresh rate test and youtube videos), performance in games also seem to be fine. Is there any fix for this?
Thanks!
Did you get the original screen? If you didnt get the original display, that might be the issue.
