psx4droid help.

whats going on guys..since i got the g2 i was mostly excited about rooting and customs roms and of course emulators. but i seem to have a problem with psx. can someone direct on how to setup and download bios to start playing? it kind of overwhelms me and im not sure where to start! thanks!
Google the bios, it shouldnt be hard to find noone can post them here because its illegal. Copy them to you sd card fire up psx4droid and select the bios from there (you should see an option that says something like psx bios).
Backup your psx isos and play
There is an app in the market psx BIOS it comes with the BIOS and two games

Ok two things i dont get and why i wont update yet is....
1 Whats psXperia? is it when i slide out the game pad and it autostarts? is that psXperia?
2 If it is why on earth would se pass an update that would render the plays main feature unplayable???
PsXperia is an emulator which can convert psx Roms into apk/zpak format so that you can play psx Roms on your play.. however, SE patched the loophole in 2.3.4..

But FPse supports many file types, does PsXperia run games that FPse doesnt??
Go google a bit =) the onboard playstation is something made by sony themselves, obviously would be a much better emulator.. if u google it, you would find the comparison between the graphics of two emulators, PsXperia looks much nicer

There's plenty of threads discussing this topic. If you refuse to google use the search feature on this site. Browsing the xp dev section will also answer your questions.
Psxperia utilizes the analogs. Some games work some don't, trial and error bro.

Do you have the bios file? I simply installed the app and ran a game flawlessly without changing any settings.

Bios file, it should mention that when you run the app right?

Yeah it said something about games working better when you do use a bios file.

Bump, just an update. I didn't get to try fpse but I am playing through epsxe and the games are working great. Chrono Cross anyone? Epsxe also gives you an ability to run Open GL plugins so your characters are all high-res, freakin amazing. [not available in fpse] Works great wirelessly with the ps3 controller as well if youre interested.

I think you need a bios

No bios needed, RetroArch will emulate the bios, this has come along quite far and performs just as well. I've just been playing Cave Story.

I have the same problem with psx games

The developer of Retroarch (SquarePusher) has said many times that if a game isn't working, then you should supply your own BIOS file in the ROM directory. The file in question is called 'SCHPH1001.bin'
You can find it with a bit of Googlin'
Pretty sure it has to either be all caps or all lower case. Try the other if it still doesn't work.

Either Retroarch doesn't like your N7 setup or the few games you are trying are one of the few games that don't work on Retroarch.
Great performance here! Playing Bloody Roar 2 and Tomb Raider, no problems so far.

Put in the same folder as your PSX ROMs.
I have this same problem. Bios is on the same folder. Is there a specific file type needed for the rom? I notice I don't have a cue file. Is that the issue?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I got it to work finally, I extracted the .MDF from the zip file, and loaded it thru retro and it worked. The games kept downloading as .zips like other system Roms but I guess the psx emulator doesn't read zips according to the manual? Anyway, worked for me, not sure if that's whats supposed to be done.

[Q] Graphics problem

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with angry birds go graphics on my 4.3 xperia m on both updates. I bought it with the first 4.3 update already installed so i don't real know if it is a version problem. It look like the textures are broken or un recognizable by the adreno card. There is no other game with similar problems so it could be the game. Please help me. Is it my phone, the game, or something else? Thanks.
Are you using foldermount or gl2sd on this game? Because i used to have the same problem when i used foldermount on blitz brigade. A lot of the textures where pink for no reason at all and i couldn't understand why

The game is on internal storage i haven't rooted the phone.
Could it be the low memory on internal storage?
Try to find and install the game not from the store,it will solve your problem
